This offices handling of patient payment records is troubling. The debit/credit machine was broken when I had an appointment so I called the office after I received my bill to pay my copayment over the phone. The receptionist took my credit card information but failed to pull up my patient record. This was evident because she had no idea how much to charge me. As a matter of fact, she asked me how much she should charge. When I prompted her that I wanted to have my payment reflected on my patient account (so that I would not be double-charged), she finally opted to look me up in the system. Two days went by, yet no charge was reflected on my credit card account. So, I called back to find out what was going on and, once again, was asked for my card information. The receptionist promised she would call me upon completion of the transaction that day. No call and another five days later, turns out I still had not been charged. This raised obvious concerns on my end about how my payment information was being handled and where it had ended up. I drove to the office to receive confirmation that no transaction had been processed and there was no knowledge of where my credit card information had ended up. I paid my copayment in person, and requested that the office manager contact me so that I may share my experience and concerns with her. I did not receive a follow-up from the office manager and will not be returning to this office.

I would not recommend Darren West, Physicans Assistant (Certified) to anyone. Hes personable, good-looking, etc, but not engaged in his work. He didnt read the medical history I provided. He duplicated a medicine I already had (and that was ineffective on my hives). I called the office the next morning (Thursday), and was told that Darren would call back later that day. He did not. I called again Friday around noon,. It turns out that the office closes at 11 on Friday. Monday, I finally reached Darren. He had some totally vague, off-the-cuff, lame apology for not calling back the previous week, and he suggested some OTC stuff to try. So there I was, part of Wednesday, all of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and part of Monday, in great discomfort, because of Darrens carelessness and non-service. If you do see Darren, ask lots of questions. Make sure hes paying attention. Dont assume he has your interests at heart.

I came to Glenn Yarbrough, M.D. because a previous Dermatologist that I went to wanted to sap I and my insurance company for a little dough. I had a troublesome wart on my right hand/ulnar side, Dr. Yarbrough was excellent, he went in and removed this deep rooted wart from my hand, made sure he got the entire wart removed and provided me with aftercare instructions which it has healed very nicely, no more wart and no more pain at the site. Dr. Yarbroughs staff was also excellent, they provided me with accurate information and got the correct scripts sent over to my pharmacy. Thank you very much Dr. Yarbrough and your caring staff.

Dont go here!!!! The patient is care is minimal, you can tell they dont genuinely want to treat you, they just want to rush you through so they can squeeze as many patients in as possible in one day. To top that off, for my appointment I was told I owed nothing, then later sent a bill for $197.00. Like most places in American Health Care Scottsdale Dermatology is more focused on $ then on patient care.

This is definitely the worst doctor I have ever been to. He did not introduce himself or the RN he brought in the room, my exam was hurried and he was reluctant to provide me care or to even answer my questions or provide me with options. As an RN I have knowledge in the treatment of patients and the treatment by all by the medical professionals at this office was sub par.

New patient and was able to get appt right away. Very friendly staff. The PAC was very professional yet not a robot. He understood my apprehension and gave me options. Also I had to self pay and very reasonable office visit price. I will be returning for follow up and would recommend to new patients. Thanks to the whole staff for being so approachable and empathatic.

The people that answer their phone that are in Florida are rude, uninformed and should be fired. They are running patients away with their arrogant and noncaring attitudes. I am considering changing Dermatologist as a result of their lack of respect for the people that put their care in the hands of Scottsdale Dermatologist. Michael R Rivers

Every time I have visited Dr. Darren West he was professional and gave me medication that helped the skin conditions I had (past tense). I will be seeing him soon, so I can see how his manner is this time, but every experience I have had with him has been great.
