Ill be honest - I have only been to Dr. Rudgears office twice. However, I have been attending my mothers appointments with her for almost two years (for moral support) and today was officially the last visit for both my mother and me. My mom has had thyroid problems for almost thirty years now with no relief. She was hopeful that Dr. Rudgear could help. Instead, shes had nothing but horrible service - shes only seen Dr. Rudgear once, the PA who initially handled her care completely screwed up her medications, making her even more ill than she was before. The practice finally got rid of the bad PA and replaced him with someone better, but my mother still hasnt seen decent results. Then today, during her appointment, my mother was yelled at by both the PA and the medical assistant. Why? Because she called them out for not giving her the care she felt she deserved. She was so upset that she broke down crying. The PA actually said that its my mothers fault that her thyroid issues are so bad because my mom had to reschedule her appointment. Seriously?! What does that even mean?! And, when my mom asked to see Dr. Rudgear, she was told that Dr. Rudgear couldnt speak to her because shes pregnant and not feeling well. Are you kidding me? Im sympathetic to her not feeling well while pregnant. However, shes in her forties and probably has a high-risk pregnancy. So, instead of ignoring your patients who are clearly suffering because you "dont feel well," perhaps you should find a replacement physician until youre fully capable to actually do your job... It was one of the most horrible, unprofessional displays I have ever witnessed in a medical office. The two visits Ive had have been okay, but I cannot in good conscious continue to patronize this practice after what they did to my mom. Dr. Rudgear and her staff might need a refresher course in common human decency.

Do not go to this doctor if you value your health. All the negative reviews on this place are absolutely correct. I went to this doctor for two years. And other than the first visit, I only saw the doctor once. After that it was always only the nurse practitioner. But I was still being paid for seeing an endocrinologist. But the worst part is that I was disrespected and belittled. My symptoms were ignored which lead to my labwork being outside of the normal range. They asked how I felt and then when I told them they were not the symptoms that described my condition. Yet anyone can go on webMD and see that I was having the classic, normal symptoms for my condition. I dont even understand how this doctor can be so incompetent. I have been receiving poor care for two years. Now that Im seeing a competent doctor I am finding out just how poor my care was. My new doctor says my condition is far too complicated for someone who has not received the advanced training of an endocrinologist and a nurse practitioner could never provide adequate care. This matches my experience perfectly. I did not receive adequate care at Dr. Rudgears office. Now that I have a competent doctor I am feeling much better. Please do not see this doc.

Ive been going to Dr. Rudgear for 6 years now, however Ive only seen her couple of times and thats only for a biopsy, they never give me my results on the phone I have to always come in and thats because they love my $60.00 co-pay. I just recently had a biopsy and it was done by Dr. Rudgear however when I came back for my results I just found out that I have thyroid cancer, the P.A which is Christy Kutz told me that I have a 97% chance of having thyroid cancer based on my biopsy results, they sent me to an oncology surgeon and I recently met with the doctor and I was told based on my report which I had with me there is a 40% chance of thyroid cancer, I am removing my thyroid gland, however they need to do a better job in training the P.As plus this is the only Doctor you dont happen to see during the appointments. You should not be running an office with P.As and not being able to see the doctor, at the end of the day they have kept close eye on me and I am thankful for that. The girls at the front office never smile and they are not very friendly, they must not like working there.

I have been struggling to find an Endocrinologist who actually listens, cares and understands about me and my diagnosis! I have finally found one! Dr. Rudgears staff was so amazing, making the appointment couldnt have been any easier! It was super easy to fill out all the forms BEFORE I got there! Then upon arriving, the office staff was friendly and ready to help me. Promptly called back to the room her Medical Assistance was courteous and showed excellent care when taking my vitals. Dr. Rudgear arrived and spent MORE TIME with me than any other doctor! She was patient, she listened and asked so many questions, she was curious to learn all about me as a "person" versus just treating a bunch of #s or symptoms. She truly cared! She went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations! I would HIGHLY recommend her if you are seeking a physician who will treat you as a PERSON and who will then go above and beyond to make sure that you are getting the RIGHT treatment! So thankful to have found her!

I have never been so insulted by a doctor in my life. I was overdosed on testosterone over a year ago by another doctor, and it really messed up my adrenal glands. My cortisol was high, my epinephrine and metanephrines were low. I was having blood pressure spikes and could not find a doctor that could figure this out. I was referred to this "doctor" because she was supposed to be a good detective. Im very tight on money as I have not been able to work in over a year. She barely reviewed my tests, never addressed my adreanals, never gave me any contructive advice for that matter. She suggested I may have depression and that she may not be able to help me. So why am I still being charged???? I was suppose to get an hour with her and I was lucky I got thirty minutes. It was obvious my case was over her head and she just dismissed me so she could hurry on to her next $300. Take my advice.......dont go see this witch!!!

I would definitely recommend that anyone diagnosed with PCOS seek a different doctor for advice. This doctor and her PA were absolutely awful! They did not address the PCOS in my five minute office visit. They sat three feet away from me, told me that I was overweight, tried to sell me a meal and hair removal plan at a discount, with "easy monthly payments". I found this visit to be a complete waste of time! I came in to try to get some answers on how to deal with the PCOS; instead, I was given monthly payments on plans that I had no interest in and then was dismissed. There wasnt any follow-up on my blood work, my diagnosis, or my questions. Stear clear......if you try to complain (which I did) they will have you speak to their office manager who is probably the worst person in that office to speak to.
