Went to Banner Urgent Care on Monday after a fall. Called in ahead to see if they accepted my insurance and spoke to a very rude lady. Arrived check in lady was rude. A very nice nurse took my vitals. Doctor came in stood by opened door that she never shut, she stood across the room asked what happened. I began to tell her I fell. She interrupted said what did you fall on, I said wrist but my... as she walked out of the room. Someone else eventually came into room and took me to get my wrist xrayed. I was telling her my wrist dont hurt as much as my elbows and arms. She said I was only told to do wrist. She brought me back to room. Much later the rude doctor came in still didnt examine me or even look at me gave me a script for narcotics and wrist splints. I tried to tell her as she left that my elbows are what is in most pain she said well lady already left and you said you fell on your wrist I said yes and I was trying to tell you where it hurt the most and she interupted me again and said well lady left and walked out. Next morning went to get my scripts took way too long to get splints. Was icing religiously and took ibuprofen to help with inflammation along with pain meds she prescribed me. (She didnt tell me anything about icing or taking medication for inflammation) I asked pharmacist who actually listened to me at CVS if I could take the pain meds and ibuprofen together. Today went into my favorite urgent care NextCare Urgent Care. They were fast, polite and listened. (Like they all ALWAYS are!) Turns out I have two fractured elbows. They said dont take pain killers this doctor prescribed if at all possible just take over the counter less aggressive medication to help with pain and inflammation. They also suggested that I dont wear the wrist splints and referred me to orthopedic. I will be calling my insurance company tomorrow to report a complaint about Banner Urgent Care and the services or lack of services the doctor provided. So for anyone who wants some strong medication without any questions or examination you know where to go! If you want all around efficient care go to NextCare! They listen to you, find the problem and a solution. One thing I always appreciate about their care for my children and myself is they dont shove drugs down our throats they strive to find the least aggressive approach every time. I should have known better than to go somewhere else but it was late and I was desperate because I was in a lot of pain. Never again Banner was a big waste of time. NextCare Urgent Care thanks for always being there for my family!

I was very interested in Shannon Nothnagles review. While this facility may have good results in some areas, I think they need a lot more training in dermatology. And, no, calling several days after an error does not help in my experience. I woke up with a horrible rash on my feet on a Saturday and felt very panicked about it. This facility told me it was "athletes foot" even though I answered "no" to all the risk factors. I used the medicine they prescribed, spreading it all over my feet. Within hours this rash had spread all over the palms of my hands. It was horrific. I could not function, not being able to walk nor handle anything. I stuck by their regimen even as friends and family urged me try again. Finally, with nothing but worsening symptoms after 6 days, I went in to my dermatologist. (it was now a week day) He took one look and told me it was no such thing, it was something called "dishydrotic eczema" which is not an infection but an immune disorder. The strong harsh fungicide this place had given me lead directly to the rash spreading to my hands because how do you think I spread that stuff on my feet?! I was grateful for the correct diagnosis and immediately saw improvement after being on the correct medicine (strong steroids). I called Nextcare on Scottsdale Road to let them know about the error in diagnosis. I was nice about it, I wasnt making a complaint. I just thought they would want to know. The person told me no, the diagnosis they put in their charts is what they are sticking by, they dont care about what an actual dermatologist would say about a skin condition. They werent the slightest bit interested that their harsh fungicide had actually made my condition far worse. So, no, I wont be going back and I have little faith in the suggestion to call the office because I did so with the same poor results. My suggestion to Nextcare is get your staff to bone up on dermatology. People can have serious conditions and consequences from these missed diagnoses of the skin. I feel for the Nothnagles little boy.

We were in need of an urgent care for our son, and that is when I came across this location (it came up in a search for pediatric urgent care near me). Let me start by saying that we were seen right away, probably because the office closed at 8:00 pm and we arrived around 7:30. Our son broke out in a rash all over his body. The PA who saw us that night told me the rash that was covering our 1 year olds body was BUG BITES!! Without ever even so much as laying a finger on him he was convinced the problem was bug bites and diaper rash. Prescribed some cream and sent us home. With out making this review a medical recap about our child, I will end by saying this; We saw our PCP first thing the next morning, and our son did not have bug bites, but in fact did have an allergic reaction and strept. I am so extremely beyond displeased with the complete and utter lack of "care" we received. Maybe it was our fault for going in so close to closing time, but never again, will we use a NextCare Urgent Care.

We brought our 6 month old daughter in this morning for a runny nose. We were called back before I was ever done with the paperwork. Once in the room we spoke with the nurse for a good 5 mins and not even 2 seconds after she left the doctor came in. The Doctor, Susan I think, was amazing. She went into detail about what was going on with our daughter and what signs to look for if she got worse. She gave us multiple treatment options. We are super protective of our children and the min the doctor left my husband and I both looked at each other and said we loved that Doctor. Other UrgentCares we frequent make us wait hours and hours, so I was super excited I didnt have to devote my whole day in a waiting room with a crabby baby. We will always be coming to this one from now on. :)

I was badly injured from multiple dog bites and came here, signed in, waited an hour, the doctor was polite and caring, but he said there was nothing he could do to help or stitch me up so he admitted me to the emergency room. As Im about to the receptionist tells me I have a bill to pay for $280 for an "office visit". I politely refused to pay the bill and explained that they did NOTHING to help me, and I walked out. Also, another young couple who came in 20 mins after me from a severe dog bite as well didnt have to wait very long because they were told to go to the emergency room too and they didnt have to pay anything! Very unfair situation, especially that I was bleeding the whole time and in severe pain. How dare they try to charge me $280 for nothing.
