My mother was admitted for post stroke rehabilitation after a stay at a Kindred Care facility. I was very pleased at first, hearing that Alhambra had high marks for rehabilitation. Unfortunately every time I visited mother I became terribly ill. Unfortunately Alhambra took a personal and unprofessional posture toward me and my relationship with my mother. Asserting that I was not really getting ill after visiting mother, but that this was an excuse I was using not to visit my mother. I went on-line and did some research for support or an understanding of why I kept getting ill. This is where I found out about MRSA. I brought my printouts to them, again explaining that I had gotten pneumonia at least once with an X-ray verification and that I was on my third course of antibiotics in less than two months. They curtailed my even asking if it were possible if mother had MRSA. Tests had been done! Nobody is allowed treatment or entry into their hospital without tests. My mother is currently at Olympia Hospital being treated for pneumonia and MRSA. She is there for a second time now since her treatment and release from Alhambra. If they had investigated my assertions, they would have found that the previous hospital, Eisenhower had found MRSA present in her saliva, and took necessary precautions. My issue with Alhambra is there personal involvement in gossip (and their rather obvious dislike of me), clouded the serious nature of my mother s health and their ability to provide care. This has lead to ongoing health and financial problems that have lasted months causing my mother life threatening problems that continue today.

i have some expletives when i want to describe this hospital and the emergency room...... the er doctor or whatever you call him makes me wait for 3 hours before even seeing me. i see him pacing back and forth doing his own thing, taking his time to get his coffee, and then reading his magazine, socializing with the nurse, and then leaving the emergency room. each time i ask the nurse or even him if i can be seen because i have my kids to take care of, they just told me that they will get to it, the doctor is really busy..... which is a damn lie because all i can see is him taking his time walking around and chatting. i was in pain, and thought i broke my ankle. i was not given any pain medication except a tylenol because the nurses keep telling me that the doctor has to see me first. im not in the hospital to get a tylenol, i can do that at my own home!! the doctor finally sees me, didnt even exam me, just tells the nurse we will get an xray. the xray finally comes over, and then it is another hour before he finally looks at it, and then comes over to me. he never really even asked what happened to me. just gave me some motrin to go home and follow up. i am fed up with this place. i would never come back here again from all the bad things i have heard from my friends, and all the bad reviews i keep reading about this place. i dont know how they claim to have all these awards, and even if they did get them, they are still a horrible place to be in. go to huntington hospital or methodist hospital where you can get more professional and quality care.

I left this hospital this am. It was the worst ordeal of my life. I firmly believe they do not know what they are doing, and they are doing it for the money. The doctors are a joke and there were so many doing and prescribing too MUCH Medication. I was clear about having a virus but they kept me on anti biotics for 10 days before they did a sputum test. Then they put me on a anti viral drug that is only effectiion within the first two days. I then had a rapid heart rate and chest pains. They had already made it a point to do extensive heart testing (revenue generation) and yet another doctor ordered tests on my heart. NOW I WAS IN there for a virus and exacerbation. They withheld my regular meds and the doctor treated it like a big joke. Not mention how I was shuffled around and compelled to you a commode in full view of the 30 visitors to the woman I was shoved in with. THIS JUST WENT ON UNTIL I had to go AMA, I was afraid they would kill me. There is way more but I will share this and much more with an attorney. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL, maybe they give better care to Asians, I doubt it. It shoud be closed. The food was awful.

I went to the ER my daughter and had high fever or 104.1 I believe and she had a cough they give her a urine test and some cough medicine and send her home that should be well within couple of days she was vomiting with that cough medicine. So days after that I went to San Gabriel hospital they also gave her just a cough Tylenol medication and send her home couple days later her temperature still 104.1. So I went to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and it was worth the waiting they gave her an xray they found that she had pneumonia and they gave her an IV for dehydration and also and IV of antibiotics and the camper for 6 hours I believe or more two doctors kept an eye on her when she was released I thank God for those two doctors and also my daughter fell better within hours after she was released from the hospital stay away from Alhambra hospital in San Gabriel Huntington Memorial and Pasadena will be the place to give you a hundred to a thousand percent they treat your children as their own. I will never walk into Alhambra hospital tour again.

Ive have never been to a hospital this ugly dirty. By far it has been one of the worse experiences of my life my mom has been her for a week and a few days went to visit her and found her pooped on twice who lets an elderly person sit in their own feces for hours ? The nurses keepd my mom drugged she didnt even know she was pooped on arent they supposed to check on them by the hour ?? No just leave them their sleeping ? We filed a complaint and guess what ?? The next day my mom was getting discharged mind you her leg was the size of an elephant we told the nurses she didnt look ready as they where putting my mom in the car her leg just burst open !!! How can u treat human beings like this ? How ??? They were forced to keep her now they are calling me telling me that shes being discharged to take her to see her Dr with her leg full of gauze by far the worst experience ever this place needs to be SHUT DOWN! NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED THIS WAY SPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY DOWN SHUT IT DOWN
