Garfield Medical Center has been my neighborhood hospital for years. Ive had visits here before; however, this review is on in-patient care. I believe I was one of the earlier recipients of a procedure with the Da Vinci Surgical System. I recognized that the entire hospital staff from physicians to orderly took customer service seriously. Staring with the pre-op nurse (Kaye), I received clear instructions and expectations on the surgery. During my stay, the physicians, nurses, and staff was professional to friendly. The nursing staff tends to be more experienced while the registered nurses tend to be younger (or came off as less tenured at the hospital). I received all the assistance I needed for recovery. While not everything during the visit was spelled out (rather unreasonable, imho), the physicians and RNs worked with me to get me well quickly. With all that said, choosing a career in the medical field request a certain level of commitment and dedication. I was impressed the care and attentiveness of the hospital staff. Given the typical demographic, I believe the staff does a good to great job navigating the language, cultural, education, and age gaps to carry out their work. These individuals that are "in the trenches" everyday to assist those in discomfort, illness, and pain have my admiration. This is the best medical facility Ive ever been in. I recently had my third child born in this hospital, and my wife and I both agree that the quality of knowledge and patient care was unmatched anywhere. I also needed emergency spinal fusion about five weeks after my third child was born, and the staff there took care of me like we were a family. The Physical Therapy Team in this hospital is the absolute best. Ive never seen so many people that were so happy to be there, helping others to recover, no matter how foul the patient can be. You know, we dont always want to get out of that hospital bed to do a bunch of exercises following a major surgery, but those therapists were so loving and caring about what they were doing that you could feel it. You just couldnt refuse to try (And, they werent even the ones that benefit from it). I refer everyone I know to this facility!!!

Yo me alivie ahi de mi bebe,y no me gusto porque estaba muy sucio,y nadie ivs a limpiar los cuartos,y si ivan solo asian que limpiaban,avia una enfermera muy buena que era chinita,pero avia otra super mala.y luego me pusieron a compatir cuarto y la otra senora tenia mucha gente que la ivan a ver y era una pasadera.y es peor cuando te miran sola.

Malos doctores y malos asistentes Se la pasan el en cell y Los pacientes se quejan y No les ponen a tensión es una tristeza saver que los pacientes quieren agua y No les dan mi cunado estuvo internado 30 Días y fue horrible. Lo movimos al Metodista hopital y notamos una recuperación a los 3 días .

Waiting in the ER, brought a sick family member. I was so disappointed at the bad attitudes and terribly unfriendly service weve gotten so far. The receptionist, Nicole Ramirez, never once smiled and pretty much shoved the papers through the check-in window. The nurse who took my family members vitals had no patience. He seemed frustrated when we didnt answer right away. One would think that an ER staff would be trained to try to make their patients feel at ease. It has NOT been the case. Its been a terrible experience so far. Hopefully the doctor, whenever hes able to get to us, is good...

設備普通，但是護士態度不是很好，原本說隔天中午出院，結果小孩被抽好幾次血驗黃膽，下午5點又要驗，但拖到6:30。小孩腳24時內被都抽好幾次都抽到黑青了。7點說可以出院，結果要等交接班，快一小時了，全家人都卡住不知道怎麼做與何時才能回家?

Worst emergency care EVER! Techs were low class and very rude, and one small Vietnamese male nurse - rudest little snot ever!! Only the doctor was nice. Hope I never have to go back there again. Especially not voluntarily. ALL were arrogant and rude...except for the ER doctor, and a female phlebotomist. Otherwise..go anywhere else...will be better. Another male nurse or tech, an American, had the worst cuticles/nails on his hands I had ever seen. Yuck!! And he was pretty crass as well, probably was hired from Hells Angels gang or something...never go back again, please Lord!!

If you have a choice, go somewhere else. The nurses are nice and they try their best, but the doctors are ghosts. My dad was admitted at 6:00 pm, it is now 3:30 pm the following day and has not yet met his attending doctor. My dad has already had blood work done, been transfused, had an echocardiogram, and an EGD - but the dr has not come to talk to him about any of the results. Any answers weve gotten have been from the nurses. So if you dont have a choice or a death wish, this is your place! Im sorry...

Best hospital ever! The nurses and staff and super dedicated to their work and were the sweetest with me and my family, my obgyn was Dr. Vo and Dr. Helen and all i can say i choose them again with my eyes closed, no doubt, they took care of me since the day i went to their clinic for the first time, until i delivered. And since the day i delived until the day i stepped out of the hospital they were in contact with me and my husband. Overall a great experience, i highly recommend this hospital and my doctors.

Nurses here are slow for the most part. The receptionist is incompetent. Sending me back to my doctor twice because she failed to tell us beforehand what exactly she needed from the doctor. She also denies having seen me before. How many rude people work there who are difficult to understand with a giant beauty mark?? If they dont perform the procdeire as they should in a timely manner, I shall have to complain to insurance and the receptionts supervisor.

I would like to commend 99.9% of NURSES $ staff members in the pre-op, surgery, recovery, & bedrest units. Recently, I had a procedure & stayed at the hospital for 2 nights. Each Nightingale is very professional, courteous, and patient. They encouraged me to take lots of walk for a speedy recovery & comforted me for the pain Im endured. They have done a great job & represented Garfield Medical Center well. P.s. The food they served arent that great.

This hospital is now part of our family, I live in Baldwin Park and prefer skip our local services and travel to Montery Park. Is worth because the attention is exelent, the doctors are very competitive and knowledge. I was hospitalized for three days, my son and grand daughter were born here, my other son had surgery in his nose, etc locally had bad experiences at Queen of the Valley (not recommended).
