My old dentist sold his practice to Harbor Dental and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Dr. Swoboda was a knowledgeable replacement. The staff has been very helpful every time Ive called to make or alter appts. as well when Ive arrived for them. The only drawback as far as service has been a couple of "odd" experiences that Ive had with one of the front desk assistants. In one instance, I wanted to ensure that they would still take my insurance under this new (at the time) practice, which led to the woman making me feel very ignorant in the end. She made this clear when I arrived for my appt. also. In another instance, after my appt., I was working with her to plan my 6 mo. follow-up at which point I decided to put on some chapstick since my lips had gotten dry from the teeth cleaning. Im not sure if I offended her by the smell or something? But she made it a huge deal which I felt was unnecessary as it wasnt a disgusting odor and Id literally be standing there for only 2 mins while she made this appt. Everyone else has been very nice. Another thing with this place is that their hours are limited. Maybe they have expanded them now, but it has been difficult for me in the past to plan an appt. with them as I work full time during the week and am not always able to take a whole day off to go here. I dont live in the area anymore and they dont have weekend hours. Id definitely still recommend if youre in the Benicia area or have a flexible work schedule. Dr. Swoboda himself and his assistants have given me some great dental service. Hopefully, you dont have the same experiences with that woman as I do, though.

I am very happy with the service I received with the Harbor Dental Office. Their response to an emergency situation I had (broke a veneer on a Friday afternoon) was commendable and stellar. Nikki called me before 8 a.m. Monday morning. Dr. Swoboda was able to see me that day and after a couple of days, I had a temporary crown. I am getting my permanent one in a week. How is that for fast, efficient, effective fast service! And this is considering the fact that I am a new client. Ive been looking for a new dentist for a year because I was not happy with my old one. A dance family friend provided referral with Harbor Dental and I was scheduled for first check up weeks before my incident happened. Thank you Dr. Swoboda and thank you for your great staff: Nikki, Katie, Caroline, Cassandra and Melissa. You guys are great!

The dental experience was positive from my initial contact with the office to the actual meeting with the dentist, Dr.Swoboda. Unfortunately, this past year and a half Ive experienced dental care that, on several occasions, made necessary "redo" work, more shots and rumaging in my mouth hurriedly and not gently. A first greeting in this office consisted of a friendly eye-contact welcome. The various stages of dental care: friendly staff and informative dental procedures, valuable for my comfort and to the idea of being a "partner" in decisions affecting my dental care. Dr. Swoboda is professional, pleasant and really "listens" to his patients while collaborating a dental care plan for his patient and staff who work closely together restoring ones dental health. After my previous dentist suddenly retired without giving any notice, I came to Dr Swobodas practice. I had already checked him out on Yelp where he consistently got five star reviews. Dr Swoboda and Melissa teamed up to work prepping the last molar on my bottom teeth for a crown. Because I have a child sized mouth, Dr Swoboda had to be creative and devise a way to work on me. He did a great job. He even thanked me for being a "good" patient. Yippee. I will be returning next week for him to tackle prepping me for another crown on the last molar of my upper teeth. His prices are reasonable and his staff are friendly and competent.

Dr. Swoboda and his team are incredible! My family and I have been seeing them for a few years now, and we have always received excellent care. The cleanliness of their offices are always above reproach, their hygienist, Cassandra, is FANTASTIC, and Dr. Swoboda is always knowledgable, never rushed, and cares for his patients above and beyond. They have been great with my kids (now 4 & 10), and myself. I would highly recommend this dental team any time!
