I decided to use them because they accept my really awful insurance. They almost never have appointment times I can make and they dont have walk in/urgent care kinds of services. If Im sick, waiting a week to see someone isnt ideal. But most importantly, they are completely incompetent and have really screwed me over. The last three months Ive been really sick on and off. Firstly, I asked for appointments in Berkeley, but they booked me in Oakland which I found out when I showed up in Berkeley. I had to cancel work and come back later that day. They took throat cultures which were thrown out because the testing material was expired. They couldnt figure out what was wrong with me. A few weeks later, it got so bad, I ended up leaving work, going to an urgent care, spending a lot of money, only to find out I have really advanced bronchitis. The doctor at the urgent care was surprised something so common and obvious was missed at one medical. And he didnt have to run any tests, he could just tell by my symptoms. It probably wouldnt have gotten this advanced had one medical just done their job right the first time. Now Ive missed a lot of work because Ive been feeling so bad for so long, have to miss more, and have a medical bill to pay thanks to one medicals incompetence. Im glad I got the care I needed, but it wasnt at one medical.

So far so good. Only had history taken, then lab work, waiting for a physical once Debra Goettsch PA gets my lab and history work. Happy with the reception staff, phlebotomist, my first encounter with the Physicians Assistant I arbitrarily chose, the look and feel of the office, the efficiency and helpfulness of everyone. Seems like a viable alternative to the usual sausage factory that most doctors offices have become, in servitude to health insurance corporations. Hope to say mo betta later....

One Medical redefines the experience of seeing your doctor in an amazingly positive way. Everything runs so smoothly, I cant remember a single time my doctor didnt take me right at the start of my appointment, and when you add everything the OneMedical app brings to the table (most notably, on demand video consultations with nurse practitioners), Id give this place 10 stars if I could! (Shout out to Dr. Alpert!)

First experience of the US health system as a Brit. Really positive - Debra was great. Very approachable and easy to talk to! Efficient, friendly and good all around. Super helpful customer service.

Had a great experience with front desk, Dr. London and the phlebotomist. Too bad I have to get back to get another blood drawn, the lab messed up the previous 6 tubes. Bummer!
