Honesty - ONLY $$$ Hungry Post Op Care - VERY BAD Price - Not CHEAP, go to regular VET Love Animals - NOT. They are $$$ Makers Honesty of Doctors - NO. They look up to Tony and make up stories to charge you more $$$ Episode 1: Got an animal from shelter. They sent it to Value Vet automatically for Spay/Neuter. Incision was long but only 2 stitches found. One at the each end. The middle section WIDELY OPEN. Wound infected. Went to ER. Spent $150. Episode 2: Found tumor. Surgery done. $450 = not cheap! But bad Pre Op care. Remember? Every bandage change $15 - 20 every 3 days to come back. Bad Pre Op instruction given. Infected Wound just like Episode 1. Another ER visit $150. Medication $100 $450 + $60 (bandages) + $150 ER + $100 MED = $760 WOW!! A LOT MORE THAN A GOOD VET WITH GOOD MEDICATON Bottom line: They love for you to come back with more problems one after another. Surgery is a good opportunity for them to suck you and your pet into more trouble. You see how much additional $$$ I had to spend thinking that its a vet with a VALUE? YOU ARE DEAD WRONG. Oh, yeah. Episode 3: Additional Surgery required for post OP infection. Another $325. HAHAHAHA. Is this a joke??!!?? Well, went for 2nd opinion. Alas, the wound was clean. Doctor told me that the 2nd surgery is NECESSARY and TONY said that the dead tissue MUST BE REMOVED. Went in for 2nd opinion. Wow. The wound was healing beautifully without any dead tissue!!! So, does this mean that they wanted more $$$ for lying about the wound? Episode 4: Due to bad Post OP CARE, the tight bandage was causing the 2nd injury to unwounded skin. $100 Overall, at this VET, they NEVER SHOW YOU the wound. You have to believe whatever they tell you. While the pet is being examined, you NEVER SEE what the wound looks like. They basically take the pet into the tiny surgery room. PLEASE DO NOT THINK ABOUT GETTING A GOOD DEAL AT THIS PLACE. THEY WILL GAUGE EVERY PENNY OUT OF YOU. NO MERCY, NO HEART, ONLY MONEY MONEY MONEY. THIS IS MY PRESENT TO THE PEOPLE THAT DO LOVE THEIR PET. PLEASE DO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I AM WELL EXPERIENCED IN THEIR BUSINESS -- I HAVE BEEN BURNED TOO MANY TIMES. I AM AN EXPERT AT THIS PLACE. I HAVE BEEN THEIRE TOO MANY TIMES with MORE PROBLEMS.

First off, Had a 7yr old maincoon that seemed to be loosing weight. Took to this facility were the vet said she had tooth infection and needed surgery but since there was an infection she needed to be on antibiotics for a week prior. OK? Dr thought it would be a good idea to incl pain meds w antibiotics....OK?? Mind you i have 5 rescues and my last cat lived 18 years w only 2 trips to vet so Im kinda new at this. Long story short, my main coon passed away! I trusted that the vet knew what to prescribe not realizing myself that due to infection she had very little to nothing in her system. Once given the correct amt of pain meds within minutes it overdosed my cat! I almost blame myself for not knowing more but i too had just gotten home after surgery. This was a TRAGEDY TO SAY THE LEAST! A year ago this time i had a respiratory infection go thru the house that infected all cats in some way. Low on cash w a care credit card i took a leap to go back to VV to see if they can help. My one cat had fever of 105. The Dr prescribed antibiotics to the ones that appeared to be infected and the others anti virals. The next morning the cat w high temp was lethargic and had to go to ER. The ER vet said this all could have been avoided if the reg vet would have just put IV fluids in her system w electrolytes. Another 5month old kitten of mine couldnt shake the infection w/ just antibiotics and came down w pneumonia and had to b e hospitalized.. By now Im into literally thousands of dollars for care and cant get the V..vet to return one phone call and i tried for more than 8 HRS! At my witts end i had to make a decision to pay hospital bill and surrender kitten to rescue agency for fear of re-infecting other cats. All might have been avoided if the vet would have just returned my call and given my proper direction on how to care for all animals involved. He was good enough to take my $$ but not good enough to return a call for a whole business day while my baby is there in the hospital. Good luck if your considering this place for care for your pet/family member!

If I could give this place no stars I would. I didnt want to do this, but the office manager, Tony will not answer his phone. I have called him now 6 times and left him a message to call me back. Still no response. I had the worst experience here on August 7,2016 and unfortunately I had to file a complaint against Dr. Fret Lucero to ask for a suspension or revocation of his license. Please, do not take your pets here, he is physically abusive to the animals he treats, and if read more reviews, you will see that. No "value" price is worth the pain of your animals. Here is the complaint I filed to the state of California: "Dr. Lucero walked into the room and greeted us and then tried to begin examining my dog. My dog is nervous of him so she was nervous to approach him. Dr. Lucero asked for her leash and I gave it to him. Now her leash is attached to a harness that wraps around her head and snout, it prevents her from pulling when going for walks. This "vet" proceeded to pull the leash as hard as he possibly could to get my dog to come up to him, subsequently pulling her body by her head. This went on for about 30 seconds... She whimpered because she was in pain. I told this man to get off of her and let go of her leash. He let go and said he could not treat her if she would not go near him. I told him pulling her by her head is no way to get a dog to come near you. I turned my dog around and asked him to examine her (we were visiting because she has anal gland issues) He then immediately said she was in heat and left the room. The next day I went to another vet and learned that she needed to get her anal glands expressed and treated once a week. After four weeks of treatment, if they do not get better, she must have them removed."

It is official, I resigned from value vet and I am making a Plubic statement about the animal cruelty thats taking place at the hands of Fret Lucero; this individual has taken many innocent lives by performing very neglectful spay and neuter surgeries on both cats and dogs. These are all of the innocent animals that are either redeemed or adopted from both shelters (east and west). One of the worst horrors this man performed was to re open a dog without putting her under. The poor dog cried and no one could stop him. He did this because he did not tie her up properly and she was bleeding internally. Last Sunday a 3 year old pitty bled to death over night. Another case within the same month is a kitty that developed an infection on the incision and past away a week later. None of the clients are aware of what is taking place and the owners claim that they cannot find another vet , so they continue to allow this to happen. These are very serious allegations and It takes a lot of courage to make this public. I have names of the cases that took place while employed there. Im not interested in yelping . I want this individuals license revoked . The kids that have witness these horrors are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs. If anybody in the rescue community knows of a powerful attorney/ animal advocate , please share. Please help me make this stop. Innocent animals are leaving the shelters to be butchered at the hands of this individual . Not just the animals , but this individual is so sick, he sexually harassed me. I am not afraid or embarrass to share this with you because this needs to stop. People , please stop taking your pets to this man .
