I had a bad experience! Northridge Veterinary Center was a clean, nice place and for dogs and cats it might be okay, but DONT take you guinea pig or exotic animal here! I took in Piggy, my two year old guinea pig for a teeth filing. Not a big deal, guinea pigs teeth grow continuously and often need to be filed once a year depending on the pig. Well, I had never had his teeth filed because he always ate so much hay and they seemed great. Dr. Smith handled Piggy like he was "just a guinea pig", very rough and business-like, and took him back to file his teeth with no anesthesia. I had to sit there and listen to Piggy crying because the back molars arent supposed to be touched without anesthesia. Then he released Piggy to me with no pain meds and said to come back in two weeks. I took him home and he refused to eat because he was in pain so we syringe fed him, but that wasnt enough. He almost died a few days later and we had to rush him into an animal hospital. Dr. Dueppen at VCA McClave Animal Hospital in Reseda and her staff were the sweetest people and they immediately gave Piggy fluids, food, and a place to stay until he got strong enough to do the procedure that Dr. Smith could have done the right way. In two days, the animal hospital have saved Piggy and done so much more than Northridge Vet Center seemed to have wanted to do. Exotics owners, beware!

Absolutely wonderful care! Dr. Smith treated our two dogs for over 10 years; when they were sick, he would call us at home to check on them; he even called us when he was on vacation to see how one of our dogs was feeling.The staff at Northridge Veterinary Center are truly caring people, as a group and individually. They remember us and our pets, whether were calling on the phone or coming into the office. And, were not there that often, but because they truly do care, they get to know both the animals and their owners. Dont ever go anywhere else!

We have been going there for the last 10 years. Not only has the care been incredible but Dr. Smith diagnosed the cancer in our 13 year old dog and we were able to extend his life by 3 years. The staff is very caring and the doctors are knowledgeable and honest. I dont know what we would do without their care.

The staff at Northridge Veterinary Center cannot be surpassed. They are all caring individuals who provide excellent services just as we would like our doctors and their staff to treat us. They have provided services to me for over 15 years.

This place is a gem. I have been seeing Dr. Smith for years but all the vets are great. They are kind and are up to date on the latest. Whenever I take my pet to another vet I always regret it. Know that you pets will be in good hands here.
