I dont recommend this place for any dog. This was the first place we brought our puppy for her first exam. She was a little over one pound at six weeks old. The vet checked everything was fine. He even prescribed Revolution heart worm med for puppies for heart worm prevention. He wanted her to take it when young so she does not need to take blood test in the future to get started. The next day, my puppy didnt want to eat or play. All she did was sleep, vomit, and diarrhea. I was scared and called this office the next morning about her condition. I didnt get to speak to the vet, instead, they asked me to leave a message. Because of the urgency of the matter, I was disappointed that the vet did not return my call earlier. He called me at night right after the office closed. He told me to take her in the next day because the clinic already closed for the day. I was so upset. Because my puppy was only 1 lb, she might not make it with not eating and continuous diarrhea and vomiting. I decided to take her to Canyon Country Animal Hospitals Urgent Care. It was the only after-hour Urgent Care in Santa Clarita at the time. My puppy got every test possible, like test for Parvo. She was so weak with the added tests. This is how all vets do to diagnose a problem. With all the test come out negative, it was okay for her to come home. They told me that if she is still not eating, I need to take her in again. Unfortunately, she didnt eat, so we took her back. She was put on IV and stayed at the hospital for 3 days until she was able to eat something. The urgent care and the hospital stay cost us $1000. All I knew was that I am so attached to this puppy, that I cannot afford to lose her. Today, she is healthy, happy and active. She is the love of my life and she brings so much joy to the family. I found out later thinking back about Revolution Heartworm medication the vet from this Animal Medical Center prescribed was for puppies weight 10-20lbs. My puppy was too young and underweight to take it. She was experiencing the side affect of the medication. Because of the vets lack of knowledge and care, it almost cost us her life.

Our dog, who needed emergency surgery in February 2012, met Dr Oh at Valencia Veterinary Center, where Dr Oh performed the surgery that saved his life. At every step of the way, we were given pricing estimates up-front, and allowed to review and approve all procedures and costs. Dr Oh then provided follow-up care to our dog at Animal Medical Center (which is his normal work location), and I cant say enough positive about him and the staff. They are all caring people, knowledgeable, and during multiple follow-up visits, and regular check-ups since then, I had plenty of opportunities to witness other animals and owners being treated with the same consideration and respect that I experienced. Both facilities were very fair with costs, and always made sure we understood what we were paying for. Our dog has recovered, and is in excellent spirits, and I have recommended Animal Medical Center to my friends with pets. Dr Oh is a great vet. For anyone who remembers Dr Bonavera at Canyon Country Animal Hospital (who sadly passed away in 2008), Dr Oh has the same kind of love and respect for animals. Lucky me, Ive never had a bad experience with any vet (in 39 years of pet ownership), but given my experience, I honestly think the staff at Animal Medical Center are excellent.

The service we receive at AMC is the best. Our three dogs have been seen by Dr. Oh for a number of reasons and each time we are always happy with the outcome. When I adopted my first two dogs they were extremely ill - on the brink of death - with Giardia, and infestation of worms and fleas. Dr. Oh created a treatment plan that kept them alive and well. Recently we had one of our dogs spayed and she had a bad reaction to anesthesia (seizure) and Dr. Oh was quick to treat her, calm her down and allow me to hold her in my arms until he felt she was ready to go home. His staff are always friendly and helpful. We could not have been happier with AMC and Dr. Oh. We are moving to Australia in October and will be sad to say goodbye.

Dr. Oh and his staff are so wonderful, I have never met a single employee that was not polite and professional! Dr. Oh has truly changed my opinion on vets. The level of professionalism and compassion he offers is such a breath of fresh air. He is honest, direct, and understands that our animals are like our family and will give you the honest truth at a great price. There is no run around with Dr. Oh, he will not over charge you and will do what he can and always has your animals best interest at heart. I am so happy he bought the practice and will always be my only option for treating my pet. He also offers boarding and grooming. The grooming is great too, better pricing than most groomers!

Dr. Oh helped our family navigate through a cancer diagnosis for our pooch. He diagnosed and treated him with kindness and thoughts to the animals comfort. He turned him into a miracle dog when the veterinary oncologist said to amputate and it would only allow our dog to live 2 -4 months. We had Dr. Oh amputate -he did a beautiful job - and following Dr. Ohs care plan our dog lived a healthy, active 3 1/2 years longer. His staff was fabulous, Dr. Oh was very professional and caring. He is thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. I have recommended many friends to his office and all have been impressed and wont go anywhere else now.

Most trusted place i take all my pets. From my new puppy to my old Shepherd. AMC always takes top notch care of my loved animals. ALL their employees are super friendly and warming from the second you walk in until your out the door. Never once felt like theyve tried to oversell me on medicines or other products. Dr. Oh is an amazing person with endless knowledge and always is looking out for the well being of any patient he takes in. Ive tried various other vets but non compare to AMC.

Ive been bringing my Golden Retriever, Cali, to Dr. Oh and am so happy with the care she receives. Dr. Oh is attentive and always makes me feel like he truly has her health in mind and is not just "going through the paces". His staff is very nice and helpful always taking time to let me ask the dumb questions. Im so happy to refer Dr. Ohs office to anyone!

Dr. Oh saved my puppys life when he treated her for what seemed to be a seizure. After hours of waiting for medication to calm her down and to collect blood and urine samples we were able to pick her up and take her home. She was in bad shape the rest of the night, but by morning, she was back to normal. Thank you to Dr. Oh and his fast-acting staff!

Great place to take your pups for everything! From boarding to medical issues. I took my baby Dude there when I went on vacation and they took wonderful care of him. He didnt want to leave! The vet and all the staff are very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend the Animal Medical Center for all you animal needs.
