The Doctors and Nurses are rude and think everyone is faking there medical problems and treat people like there no one. I have been there for 4 times in the last 9 months for my seizures and the 2nd time I was there there was this ER doctor named Dr.Mohammed M Siddiqui who saved my life at the hospital and the ICU doctor named Dr. David P Wilson and a ICU nurse named Meg,who were the best caring people there. They made my stay there great. The other 2 times the same Dr. Kathleen Edmunds saw me the last two times, she thought I was faking and never talked to my husband about what care I needed and never talked to me or my husband about anything and the only person she talked to was my mother-in-law about all my medical care and whats needed to be done. she lied about information on my charts, she is an awful doctor and all ways will be. This hospital is the worst hospital ever and I tell people not to go there, only go if its life or death. To the person that said she couldnt give this hospital enough good stars the only reason that you think you got good care was because you really wasnt the person going there it was your kids and they treat kids more serious then grown up and older people. I hate to say this but, I hope you end up going there and get the same crappy care as the rest of us do. Please this hospital is no good.

Wish I could give Sutter Coast Hospital 10 Stars!! I cant say enough good things about Sutter Coast Hospital. All of my children have been seen in the ER, as have my parents; and most recently myself (in excruciating pain - and I was seen almost immediately). One of my children, who never had a migraine headache before, was in excruciating pain and was seen almost immediately. In all cases the ER staff was *AMAZING*. The longest wait we ever had in the ER was 4 hours, because there was a trauma case ahead of us. I wasnt happy about waiting, but I understand immediately life threatening cases take priority over a (obviously) non-life threatening condition. One of my children was hospitalized for week+; and my father overnight on a couple of occaisions. In all cases the nursing staff was *AMAZING*. We moved here from an large metropolitan area where 6 to eight hour ER waits are to be expected ... unless you are literally on the floor dying.... Reading these other reviews, I can only suggest anyone who is not satisfied with the level of care provided move out of the area immediately; and good riddance to you! To those complaining about the cost of medical care. Yeah! No kidding?!? Now you know why insurance industry reform is necessary!

I, was visiting Brookings and suddenly had a excruciating pain in my stomach and throwing uo continusly. The ambulance picked me up, was given 2 choices go to Crescent City, or Coos Bay. When, I arrived I was taking right into the emergency room, a dr, and a few nurses were there, I can honestly say, I was so out of it from pain, I dont remember everything. I knew, it was a bowel obstruction, they knew it from the ambulance attendees. I, was giving pain shot and nausea meds, and woke up the next morning. I was treated extremely well, even when I informed the staff, my friend was at the hospital to take me back to Medford. They advised, me to stay, but I had to return to my hometown, the great nurses got a hold of the doctor, and convinced him to double the pain shot as well as the nausea med. I, ended up sleeping the entire way home, and in the hospital in Medford. While this was several years ago, maybe things have changed? I, remember, the ambulance talking, between themselves on wether I would even make it to the hospital. Thank god, that Crescent City, has a hospital. a big THANK YOUto all the doctors and nurses at your hospital for your empathy and caring!!!!

I went to Sutter Coast to get some lab tests done about six months ago, and received an EOB from my health insurance company saying that my patient responsibility for the tests was $212.00 about two weeks ago. Obviously the lateness of the EOB notice is not the hospitals fault, but after receiving the EOB I realized I still havent received a bill from the hospital. Navigating the website just to find the Accounts Receivable phone line was ridiculous, so I called the general number just to ask for the extension. The receptionist was very rude; she kept interrupting me trying to tell me to call back tomorrow since no one was in, while I was trying to explain to her that I just wanted the phone number so I could have it ready to call on my own time. She rattled off the phone number without asking me if I was even ready for it and I had to stop her and tell her to wait while I wrote it down before she hung up on me. She sounded extremely irritated the entire time, while I was just trying to be a responsible consumer and make sure to pay my bill, if I have one. Wish me luck with the billing department tomorrow.

I went into the ER as a lymphoma patient needed a ct to see where my cancer progression was, while having bouts of pain. Dr. Wahidi, without even feeling the lymphnodes said that he didnt want to expose me to radiation and that if there was something immediately wrong they would have to take certain measures. Ill never go back, and he should be fired. I will now record every office visit to catch the next dr like him so I can sue the hospital.

I took my 2 month daughter to the emergency because she had some blood coming out of her nose. Well we get there and they treat her and basically say everything is fine. 2 hours later we go home. A couple weeks later we get a bill for $1600. That is correct: 2 hours = $1600. Talk about being legally robbed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rediculous!

Tried to charge 10000 dollars for a 15 minute out patient procedure. Then told me Medicare would only cover 90% of it and i would need to pay them the balance?!! I thought this was against the law?!!! Your not allowed to charge medicare patients before anything is done. Dr. Harrie was doctor do procedure

Profiling sucks wouldnt let me smoke because "I might do drugs" just wow discriminate much? Just because someone looks as I do doesnt mean you should ASSUME they do drugs. Other than that they are way more better than my own doctor more thorough too in finding out my medical issues.

The nurses and dr. both made me feel like I was such a bother. They didnt seem to care that Im having trouble breathing. After I left I read the pile of papers an they said id had a seizure when all I did was have them check my dilantin levels. What a bunch of BULLSHIT!!!
