A 15 year just passed away at this hospital, read below ... grieving Stockton family claims San Joaquin General Hospital staffs negligence led to a 15-year-olds death. Yunique Morris died last Thursday. The 15-year-old was a healthy, active student and cheerleader at Weston Ranch High School in Stockton. Two weeks ago, Yunique complained of ongoing chest pain and was seen by her doctor at San Joaquin General Hospital,KTLA sister station KTXL reported Friday. Speaking to the Sacramento-area television station, Yuniques grandmother, Wanda Ely, said the teens doctor diagnosed her with chest wall pain. She was given pain medication and antibiotics then placed on bed rest. “Her health just started going downhill," Ely said. "It got to the point where she couldn’t even go up and down a flight of stairs without getting out of breath.” A few days later she returned to her doctor. The family said the doctor insisted her illness was minor and she was experiencing inflammation. Yuniques mother was still concerned, so she asked for an X-ray. Days passed, but Yuniques health did not improve. “She felt nobody is helping her and she didn’t really understand what was going through her body, but she knew something wasn’t right," Ely said. Then last Thursday Yunique sent her mother an urgent text message. "I NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL, I JUST PASSED OUT, I’M THROWING UP NOW," the message read. Her older brother rushed her to the emergency room at San Joaquin General where doctors found numerous blood clots in her chest. She died within hours. Devastated by the teens death, Ely and her family are looking for answers. An autopsy is being conducted at the Childrens Hospital in Oakland. The family said a cause of death wont be known until at least late next week. An administrator with the hospital told KTXL that the hospital could not comment on the incident because of patient confidentiality.

Please read this glimpse of the 4 week hell Ive been going through. Western Dental 1332 E Yosemite Ave, Manteca, CA misdiagnosed my tooth pain as an abscess. Saw another dentist who looked at a copy of the xrays Western Dental took, and saw that a wisdom tooth was touching the main nerve in my jaw. It requires surgery that I am currently waiting for. My current dentist prescribed Vicodin which is all California guidelines will allow. This medication did not touch the pain. After being awake for over 50 hours, my wife forced me to go to the emergency room as my primary care provide (which is also in this hosp) could not fit me in for a week. I waited in the hallway for 1.5 hours without my wife. At this point I am crying and embarrassed. The pain has been so unbearable my wife said I blacked out a few times. The Physician Assistant that saw me is named JASON BLACKSHEAR. I told him my story as they would not allow my WIFE to be in the exam room with me. He looked in my mouth for less than it takes to blink and said I have an abscess. I just told him that I do not have an abscess. My wife even brought paperwork from both dentists and the oral surgeon of our visits as she knew I might be labelled as a drug seeker. He said there was nothing he could do. Visually upset and angry I asked the R.N. to see the actual attending physician. He said I couldnt. No compassion. No professionalism. Do not go to this e.r., please, and I hope that MR. JASON BLACKSHEAR, P.A. stops "practicing" medicine and finds a different career to pursue. Thank you.

I delivered my son here a few weeks ago, I was basically forced to breast feed the time I was there. They asked me if i was going to breast or bottle feed i said bottle feed once i was in the recovery room and my baby was brought to me they said i should breast feed because i would need a prescription from the doctor to get bottles. I wasnt producing anything my baby lost 1lbs in the two days that he was there and developed jaundice, he wasnt wetting enough diappers, baby would cry from beeing hungry and after i asked for a bottle again they wouldnt give me one. I was discharged and had to take my baby to the doctors twice that week to have his jaundice levels checked. As soon as i got home i gave my baby a bottle he was finally able to eat and started wetting diapers and in a few days gained weight and his jaundice levels went down. If it wasnt for them making me breast feed I would have given them a positive review. The staff was very nice and attentive but they should respect the mothers wishes if they choose not to breast feed.

Worst Hospital Ever Any other hospital is better than SJGH. It is a learning and practice hospital. I have delivered two babies here, and nothing has changed at all! Trainees comes right in and train on me without asking for permission. Nurses and trainees are not that good. They always have a hard time drawing my blood and or finding my veins. After having my baby, I had to share a room with another mother! Staff members are unorganized. They never gave me back my insurance card because they lost it! Nurse dont know her way around the hospital! Ultrasound tech couldnt figure out to turn on her computer for hours! While I was there, for a few seconds, I thought WTH am I? You often see prisoners still in orange jumpsuit come to get medical attention there! You generally dont see this at any other hospital!

They may do fine saving peoples lives from all the gunshot wounds here in Stockton, But when you are an average patient for lets say, a varicocele that is causing pain and prevent good performance on the job and you want to consult with an expert, expect to wait a few months to be seen, especially if you have covered California or Medical. All they do is mess up their paper work, forget to send appointment slips and then push your appointments back until your conditions worsen and your asking for drugs, which they quickly prescribe in ridiculous quantities after half a day at ER. Ive waited in emergency to get an MRI for my back for about 6 hours once. They treat you just as good as all the convicts that come in with priority service. This hospital makes you feel like the filthy slave body that you are.

I received a mammogram today in the Radiology department. This was not my first mammogram, I expect some discomfort but not to the extent of what happened today. The scan was going well, some discomfort but the third scan on each breast caused me so much pain that my heels lifted off of the ground. This is not what you should expect during a routine mammogram. Either the technician is a rookie or is extremely insensitive, I would give ANYTHING to give her the same treatment she gave me. I will not be getting further exams at this Radiology department, no thank you. I spoke to a supervisor, Rick, on the phone about my experience and felt that the ball would be dropped with him. If you want professional and compassionate care during routine exams DO NOT go here. I will seek care elsewhere.

The staff hear is by far the worst. They generally dont care about their patients. They had discharged a disabled person I know and didnt have the decency to get ahold of his care provider to let them know that this person is being released and to come pick em up, even after the care provider had specifically gave them the info to them so they could do so. Long story short my poor friend sat in the waiting room for almost 24hrs after being released with no food and no $ not even knowing where they were. And the entire time the care provider was calling the hospital asking about my friend, and they said "we dont know know where the person is and we cant find them in our system." Would give them negative stars if I could.
