I had been bringing my animals here since 1997. I always thought it to be a good place with reasonable prices. However, I had two really bad experiences with Dr. Lee Prutton. One was a malpractice incident. If you go here choose another doctor!!! This first incident was when my docile golden retriever of seven years began to tear up the house. Dr. Prutton told me the dog had suddenly developed separation anxiety. He recommended prozac at $2.00 a day, & sleeping with the dog. When the dog began to pee blood, it was an obvious bladder infection. I was very angry with the Dr Prutton about this. The second time I took my cat in for routine shots. Dr. Prutten gave them but then began hard selling some other very expensive non routine vaccinations. He asked me how much I loved my cat. I felt it was very manipulative. Dr Virk, was good with my new dog, and Dr. Matthew Judd seems really sweet. Avoid the owner Dr. Prutton, hes not good with animals. Hes more like a CEO.

Dr Prutton treats feral cats brought in by volunteers. However, when our family cat was trapped by an over-zealous volunteer, he did not take the time to scan her for a microchip so her owners could be contacted. He then anesthitized our cat, cut the top of her ear off, gave her shots, and only stopped in neutering her when he saw her abdominal scar. When confronted by this break in procedure, he refused to acknowledge the error. In addition, he indicated that he will not scan "ferals" in the future. Please support other vets, as his attitude and corner cutting has caused great stress to our cat and our family.

The dog I inherited from my brother who decided to follow his girlfriend to London could only be classified as a "problem child" He is so cute you cant help but love him but, was causing all sorts of problems in my already stressful life. I took him to Abbey Pet for a behavior consultation. Dr. Prutton was great and recommended a group called Serious Dog Training. After eight weeks and a lot of patience I now have a dog I can bring to the dog park and have friends over without "PI" jumping and drooling all over them. The last time we saw the Doctor we were given shots and tick removal. I recommend this place.

Had to take our cat, Prada, there about a month ago and they were great. She was having issues breathing and they took her in without an appointment bright & early one morning - the whole staff was very delightful and helpful to deal with. The rate was very reasonable as well considering it was an emergency. Prada is feeling much better now - think we just found our new Vet!!!! Highly recommended.

I first took my Jack Russell to Abbey Pet Hospital when he was hit by a car and his vet was closed...Im glad they were closed...His injuries required surgery to repair a broken leg and I do not think his recovery would have been as successful had he not been cared for by Dr. Prutton and his excellent staff. Thank You Abbey Pet Hospital for saving our "ROCKY"

I have been going to Abbey for well over 20 years - they are great. Well priced...are they perfect? no, but I have always received excellent care - not a lot of hand holding, I dont need it, I need my pet taken care of. They do that and more - Dr. Prutton just saved my 19 year old cat last week --

Caring staff, I called this morning and I was able to get an appointment very quickly. Dr. Prutton is great. The facilities are clean and inviting. What a great place to bring my dog!!!
