I hate myself for taking Willie on his last day to this vet. I paid $150 to put Willie to sleep as he was gasping for his last breaths. The vet took a needle on a syringe and searched for the vein. He thought he was in and then he pushed the medication to put him to sleep. The medication didnt go in the vein it infiltrated in the tissue. Willie didnt get the medication in the blood. The vet realized that the medication wasnt working. He then took another syringe with needle and stab Willie in the abdomen. It was so barbaric that Willies legs stretched as he agonized in pain due to the intra abdominal stab. God knows what organs he injured. The vet then attempted to push the medication in the other leg. He fished for the vein. This time the medication went in and Willie quickly went to sleep. It took about 10 minutes to put Willie down. I understands not getting an intravenous site. I am a nurse, but I dont understand why a veterinarian would stab a dying dog in abdomen to inject pentabarbital. Not even death inmates get stab with medications in the abdomen to be put down. I wish the doctor would had started an intravenous site and then injected the medication in a patent iv site. I will be contacting veterinarian board in the next few days to see if this is standard treatment for euthanasia. Please refrain from using this vet!

Dr. Tremazi has shown nothing but compassion and professionalism during my years of employment at Garvey pet hospital. Took my cat to get spaid. Also took her because my cat was attacked by another animal. She got a few stiches as well as some antibiotics. Stayed overnight and seemed to be well taken care of. She back to good health. No problems with her now. Good place to go. Highly recommended. Definitely will go back if needed.
