I have been taking my dogs here for years and they have always been great i had given them good reviews everytime i went in and brought people to their sunday vaccine clinics but just this past month my dog had a really bad cough so i took him in and he was diagnosed with a very serious heart problem the doctor put him on prescription food and prescription meds that i cannot get without a written prescription they arent calling me back with any of my concerns at all, they arent getting prescriptions ready before my dog runs out of his meds no matter how many times i call and did not even call me back when my dog wouldnt eat the prescription food at all and was dropping weight rapidly and i didnt know what to feed him NO CALL BACK AT ALL since he cant have anything with sodium. I was freakin out so my friend called to check if his prescriptions were ready and she was yelled at and then hung up on!!! Then when i went in today to finally get his precriptions after waiting for 10 days with a coughing dog the receptionist that hung up on my friend (Kelly) wouldnt even look at me she looked at the floor the entire time i was there and wouldnt even talk to me the other lady who was friendly didnt have an answer for ANYTHiNG!! Not sure what happened but please do not go to this place anymore they obviously dont care about your pets. There are much more compassionant vets in the area that will call you back and answer questions. please dont waste your time and money here. Sorry Dr Isaacs I really liked you as a vet but Kelly is just horrible to your patients with a terminally ill dog. Very, very hurt and disappointed.

PLEASE do not bring your pet here! I brought my cat in because he suddenly went blind and was displaying dementia like symptoms. Dr. Isaacs looked at him and watched him walk around the room and ordered a bunch of tests. He did NOT take his blood pressure. He said my cat was too fractious and it would have resulted in a false positive. My cat is always highly stressed and fractious at the vet, so with that logic, when IS a good time to take it? He sent gizmo home with main meds and said there is more tests we could do if symptoms dont improve. He kept getting worse so I called down there and they said to bring him in . I brought him in and Dr. Isaacs didnt even see me! He apparently saw my cat and the technician came out and said to me, verbatim "Im sorry but theres nothing more we can do for you." And referred my cat to a neurologist. I went to the neurologist who looked at my cat, looked behind his eyes and we went over his symptoms and the doctor said it sounds like high blood pressure. Sure enough, it was 270!! With that high of a reading he could have had a stroke and died. He is now on blood pressure meds and doing better. Dr. Isaacs pure negligence and incompetence could have killed my cat!!! If he cannot solve a basic problem like high blood pressure, then how can you trust him to solve anything else? PLEASE, take your beloved pet elsewhere!!!!

I happen to disagree with some of these reviews. I think Encino Veterinary Clinic is very thorough and I think their staff is very helpful. The technicians are friendly and the reception area / appt area staff is informative. I think people forget the expense involved with owning a pet. I take my dog and cat here, yes they do a lot of exams but you can easily say NO to them. I recently had taken my kitty in and she was nervous and had an accident in her carrier and the vet was polite and had the technicians clean my carrier for me and also give my kitty a good cleaning to remove the urine from her fur before the exam. I was so embarrassed but the staff was very professional. Everybody seems to be very animal friendly and shows a lot of care and concern for the pets and the customers. I will keep taking my pets to the Encino Veterinary Clinic.

My pets have been cared for by the staff at Encino Vet Center for many years. We have always received excellent care. Dr. James Issacs and his associates are extremely knowledgeable in diagnosing ailments of their patients. All of the staff exhibit deep dedication and caring for the well being of my pets. Dawn has been grooming my dogs for years. She does a magnificent job. Dawns love and devotion shines through in grooming of my pets, and the friendship she and I have developed over time. The entire staff, from the front office, the technicians, the doctors... have always been extremely kind, helpful, and have always gone above and beyond to provide the best care possible to my pets. They have always treated me with the utmost of respect and kindness. I highly recommend Encino Vet!

Encino Veterinary Clinic is the best place to take ones pet. My experience was one of the best and I would not hesitate to going back to them. The staff is extremely polite, helpful, kind and compassionate. The technicians are excellent and very professional. Both the doctors are fabulous. They literally brought my Ayesha back from the jaws of death. I was extremely upset that my Ayesha would not recover from her illness but to my greatest joy, her life was saved. They are VERY BEST veterinary clinic in town. Everyone who works there, understand how owners feel about their pets as they also have pets of their own. This is an organization where they will work with you in giving your pets the best care in town! They have my vote and business for life!

Today, i dropped off my 1 year old boxer for neutering surgery, he had undescended testicles. As i came in i was very nervous at first, you just never know, complications might happen. We bring him to this place since he was 8 weeks old. The doctor and all of the staff members are very friendly and understanding. Jose, the practice manager, is the guy i always talk to. Very knowledgeable with a big heart. We had a small talk prior to the surgery, right after the procedure he called with an update on my boy. I had nothing to worry about! Thank you, you guys have a great team! Now the big part is the recovery! Good luck to us with this hyper buddy!

they are extremely expensive they did alot of unecessary tests and work that escalated to over four thousand dollars , never saw the doctor once , the assistants seem to run the show , i will never go back tbere again , for example the fluids we bought were literally twice as expensive as other veterinary clinics they knew very well that kazoo would die soon anyway . after trying three veterinary clinics in the past years , sharps pet hospital is honest and best of of all them put together also great staff that truly cares.

Watch out because this vet wants to charge you for all sorts of tests and then shove some quack diagnosis. They could not even tell that a dog had kennel cough for crying out loud! I took the dog to another vet and got a shot of antibiotics and the dogs is just terrific now. This vet wanted to do a number of tests to the tune of hundreds of dollars. They are either incompetent or know they are in a wealthy area where they can charge a lot of money. Shameful!
