HORRIBLE experience at this Quest Diagnostics. My phlebotomist, Patricia, was angry, rushing and very volatile. I have worked in doctors offices for 6 years, and I know the pressure is high and patients get rowdy but I have never seen a medical professional behave the way Patricia did. I went in, gave my forms to the front office staff (who also happen to be other Phlebotomists) and everything was taken care of. I waited for 25 minutes until I was called up by the phlebotomist for my physicians phone number so they could get authorization for a Cortisol Baseline test. I gave the phone number to that phlebotomist and went back to sit down. Another phlebotomist ran back in from her lunch break and called me up -- this phlebotomist was Patricia. She told me to sit down and began asking me what labs I needed done, all while she was holding lab forms in her hand. At that point it was evident she had no patience and before I could even register what she was asking me, she began berating me regarding how the Cortisol Baseline test needed to be authorized if I were to take it after 9 am. I am not a doctor, and I am not a phlebotomist. I cant give authorization and I was given 0 directions in regards to my lab tests, so I told her that the other phlebotomist was going to call my doctor for the authorization. Patricia became visibly annoyed and told me to call my physicians office for her immediately and get the information. I called my physicians office for her all while she spoke to me as if I were a child. The staff had taken a copy of my insurance form and without even looking for it, Patricia huffed and puffed about how I was on MediCal - which I am not, I am Blue Cross PPO - and told me to stay on the phone but to get my insurance card out. By the time I pulled it out, she had found the sheet that the Quest staff had made a copy of my insurance on and yelled at me to "forget looking for your card, I found it, just stay on the phone! Get the contact name!" That was the second time in that 10 minute exchange that I felt so uncomfortable I wanted to get my lab sheets back and leave. I was already on the phone with my physicians office, though, so when I got a hold of my physician and asked the question that Patricia wanted me to ask, Patricia literally snatched my cellphone from my hand in order to yell at my doctor about how busy she was -- and I quote, "Oh my LORD I need a yes or a no answer, I dont have all day! We are very busy...oh GOD youre just not getting it are you?!" and hung up on my doctor. Shaken, confused and quite frankly, a little scared, I promptly requested my lab forms back and told her I was extremely uncomfortable getting my blood drawn by her after the way she was yelling at me and then yelling at my doctor and his staff. I left so shocked that one of the other staff members in the hall came over and apologized for Patricias behavior. Im still in disbelief. If you go here, DONT go to Patricia.

The front desk people are usually pretty great, but the wait time if you dont have an appointment is usually not so good! If you dont know when you have time to go in and want to make an appointment the week before, good luck! You have to schedule weeks out to get a good time (A good time being 7:30 before most people have to go to work. Walking in normally takes about 45 minutes unless you get there right at 7:30 and you will usually get helped after 20-30 minutes, at least in my experience. Having to call their number to try to talk to someone is absolutely impossible! I was trying to schedule an appointment and it makes you say the day you want, I spent 10 minutes just saying the day that I wanted for my appointment and it would either get the day wrong or when I would confirm for the right day, it would say "Sorry, please tell me the day you would like". Finally I was able to get the day I wanted and when I said yes to confirm the time and everything was correct, it said "Sorry, please tell me which is wrong: the location, day, or time." I tired to say "None!" but that wasnt a response and it sent me back to saying the date again. After a couple more attempts I finally gave up. (Oh, and I dont have an accent or anything, I spoke clearly and enunciated and it was useless.) I almost wonder if they have that helpline to record people getting angry. I am normally pretty calm but it made me want to throw my phone across the room.

One of my blood test was skipped. I had done several blood test in this center few days back.Among them one imp. blood test was not performed. On asking them the reason for it ,i received kiddish answers which are not at all acceptable. I have sent detailed e mail to them regarding this and still waiting for the reply. Further once the lady that draws the blood(the lady in both the incidences was same) drew 2 tubes extra blood and then simply said sorry about it.Can u imagine two whole tubes of extra blood!!!!!! Words are few to write about this lab.........really........ I truly hope none of you ever have to experience such a thing.

The incorrect codes were submitted to Medicare which were not updated on the next invoice. I paid the bill so that it did not go to collection. I spent two days trying to contact a real person on the phone. After finally talking to a real person she was still unable to show that the corrected codes were resubmitted to Medicare. It was a simple blood test for an annual check up that was not approved. I will not be using Quest Diagnostics again with no resolution in site. This oversight cost me $208.00 for a senior with limited income is simply not acceptable.

Came as walk in at 10. Took two hours. The passed by my name and then claimed they called me. Its not too hard to pronounce "Joe" but the rude person who calls out the names couldnt even pronounce Joe when asked. So of course she could only frown at me for having such a difficult name to pronounce -- "Joe" During the week this place is OK but honestly, folks, we gotta quit putting up with this from Quest.

I arrived without an appointment, and I was told that it would be approximately over an hour wait. It was only a 45 minute wait. The person who took care of my daughter was very good. His name is Julian. He made it easy and relaxing for my daughter. My daughter left with a smile. If I ever need blood work done again, I would definitely go back to this place and request for Julian.
