When I checked into this clinic I saw the doctor in less than 10 minutes. The front desk girls were very friendly and the facility was squeaky clean. Overall, for a it being a doctors visit, it went very smoothly. I had been swimming at the La Jolla cove that day with a friend and swam too closely to a giant, sharp rock. I ended up cutting my leg. It didnt hurt that bad but after an hour of non-stop bleeding I knew that I probably needed to see a doctor. Luckily I found out there is an Urgent care right in the La Jolla village. I saw Dr Mann who was professional and nice. I felt very safe. I ended up with 5 stitches and some antibiotics. I was able to fill my script 2 stores down at Pharmica which is this awesome pharmacy. They are also super nice, clean, and efficient. As I was leaving the Clinc I was still a bit shaken up from this whole ordeal so it was quite a shock when I was handed a $5 gift card to The Lot! How awesome is that! After I dropped off my prescription, I walked over to The Lot. The Lot is this incredible indoor/outdoor movie theater + restaurant. I used my gift card to enjoy a cold coffee drink. I have never received such VIP service. What a unique place. Thank you Doctor and staff.

DO NOT GO HERE. First of all, they dont take insurance, which they failed to mention over the phone. Secondly, the doctor didnt check me at all. I went in with a super painful throat infection and he basically shined a light in my mouth and said "minor throat infection" then prescribed me a z pack and told me to take 4 motrin and 2 tylenol extra strength THREE TIMES A DAY. Thats 18 pills.....He didnt listen to my heart, or take my temperature, or blood pressure. As I was walking out, he was like "oh are you allergic to any medications." It was hands down the most unprofessional scam of a visit Ive ever had at an urgent care. I ended up going to Anderson Medical Center in PB 2 days later where they prescribed me the right antibiotics and gave me a cortisone shot...wasnt as minor as the doctor said. Im not the type of person to leave a bad review, but this was really wrong, counterproductive to my health, and expensive.

I started taking a new medication and I started feeling a little funny last weekend was I was down in La Jolla. I tried calling my doctor but he was out of town on vacation so I weighed my options. I could go to the ER and wait in line for an hour or I could try and find an urgent care. MCSD popped up and they had pretty good reviews so I decided to head that way. Dr. Mann saw me right away and he took a blood test to make sure everything was OK. Luckily for me feeling lightheaded was a common side effect from the medication. He let me rest in the examination room for a bit. Just closing my eyes for a few minutes helped a lot. I really appreciated his level of expertise and how he treated me. Top notch.

I’m a local in La Jolla and was pleasantly surprised to find out that we now have an urgent care in town. Medical Care San Diego is a new addition to La Jolla Village and a much needed one. Now at days, ER visits often have three or more hours of waiting time just to get some face time with a doctor. This simply isn’t an option for a family with three young kids under the age of eight like myself. My kids are constantly getting ill or getting small cuts and bruises from playing too rough. If I had to rely on going to ER every time my kids get hurt, it would be terribly inefficient. It’s also nearly impossible to get my kids to sit still for that long when they are not feeling well.

My fiancée and I were just doing some shopping and stopped in because he needed a refill on his prescription. After talking to the doctor, my fiancée and the doctor actually decided on some new and way better meds! We were able to pick them up from a place a few doors down and continue our day out. My fiancée cant stop going on about how much hes glad he switched medicines, thanks to Dr. Manns recommendation. He really knows his stuff, and we will definitely have to return next time we need, or just to visit this cool place. Maybe get some skincare next time because they had some really awesome products up front!

I twisted my ankle pretty badly while bike riding around La Jolla last week. It didnt seem broken but I still wanted to get a second opinion. I asked the owner of a local establishment and they recommended San Diego Medical Care on Girard Ave. Luckily it was right up the street. I limped in and they said they could see me immediately. Dr. Mann checked me out and said it was nothing serious and wrapped it up so I wouldnt aggravate it anymore. He had me out the door in under 30 minute. Their facility is very warm and welcoming. Glad he was able to take care of me without much trouble.

Im from LA and was visiting family in Del Mar. A migraine kicked in and I needed to see a doctor asap I went to Scropps ER but they told me the wait was over three hours so I walked out.. I went to urgent care in la jolla village and they saw me right away. ....less than ten minutes!! I was so happy to receive care immediately that my headache almost lessened. I highly recommend this Urgent Care clinic. It is super clean too. Thats very important to me. The doctor was very thorough and staff were on top of it. I felt safe and there is nothing more important than that. Thank you.

I love this place! I found it while vacationing in La Jolla, and it was very easy to find. I walk into a beautiful clinic, which also carries skincare, and was greeted immediately by a friendly staff. I was hoping I wouldnt have to wait because I had a movie time to make and they saw me immediately! I was in and out within the hour. The doctor, Dr. Mann. is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. Low cost for the visit, fast service, friendly and trustworthy staff? Dont mind if I do. Ill be back for any future needs, including skin treatments/products.

I stepped on a piece of glass on the beach in La Jolla last weekend and it cut me pretty good. It wouldnt stop bleeding so the lifeguard suggested stirches. I didnt want to go to the ER so I googled urgent care and this is the first place that popped up. I showed up and Dr. Mann saw me immediately. He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. He took care of the stirches and prescribed me some antibiotics to make sure it wouldnt get infected. Very impressed. If you need urgent care in San Diego I highly recommend MCSD.

La Jolla is a great spot for kayaking and water sports, and this clinic is very convenient because I ended up having to get stitches from my kayaking adventure. I was recommended to Scripps but its pretty far and I know Id be there for way longer. When I googled urgent care spots, I found this one and Im so satisfied! Im already back out in the sun enjoying my weekend and it was a really good price. Next time you need urgent care, Id recommend here over Scripps unless you want to wait all day to be seen.
