Great doctor and pleasant staff! On our way back to LA from San Diego, Dawg got into a bag of trail mix that had macadamia nuts in it. Knowing that these particular nuts are BAD for dogs, we called our vet in Pasadena. He said to take her to the closest vet. There were several around but since my favorite aunts name was Paz... I know thats not a proper way to choose a vet, but we were in a big rush to get her to a vet, any vet, and Paz seemed like she was pointing us to this hospital. As it turned out, it was an EXCELLENT CHOICE! They treated her immediately! They even let Dawgs dad go back and be with her during the whole time she was there. While she was so cooperative (drug induced!), and after the nuts had been expelled, they cut her nails and cleaned her ears. A half hour later, she came out looking a lot better than when she went in. In fact, she looked better than she had in a long time! She was high on morphine! If we lived near here, Dr. Abdella would be our vet. If we need a vet between home and grandmas, this is where well return,

Best Vet in Orange County. Weve been taking our Westies to Dr. Abdella for years. He and his staff are friendly, helpful, and very skilled. He has extended the lives of our pups by catching problems early. If you love your pets, take them to La Paz Animal Clinic. As to cost, weve taken our pups to other vets over the years and ALL medical care is expensive. We now have Pet Medical Insurance, but even without insurance, our pets are very important and cost is not an issue. Ask if you need an estimate before any work is done.

Make sure BEFORE this clinic runs ANY labs on your pet you get them to quote you a price for all lab work they intend to run. We got a SHOCKINGLY LARGE bill for lab work on our family cat after we brought her in for a sore paw. The lab work was mostly unnecessary. Im NEVER bringing my pet back here again.
