Not the worst, not the best. I bought my 8-week old puppy and brought her in same day for the an overall exam under the pup plan. Mind you, I had previously called a week prior or so to make this appointment and confirmed that it wouldnt be a problem to do this exam and initial shots, etc. after driving 3 hours north from where we got her. Upon arrival, Dr. Dhanoa said that we probably shouldnt give her the shots because of the drive... Okay, I live far away, so I asked we please do them. She was a big puppy so I doubted shed get sick. And she was fine. He also urged several times we get her back dew claws removed because the family we bought her from couldnt stomach the thought of cutting them off themselves. Thats fine on both of their parts, but he made us feel bad about it like it was our choice. And since we have a shared yard with our neighbors with dogs, he said to absolutely not let her outside until she got all of her distemper shots plus a month on top of that.... Anyways, they said they would call me within 2 days for the fecal results but I didnt hear anything so I called on the third day. Not thinking anything of it (because silence is usually a good thing), they surprisingly told me that "she came back positive for a few things"... uh what? I asked to talk to the vet and they said he was very busy, probably wouldnt call back until tomorrow. I am biting my fingernails hoping he will call and tell me whats up. I finally hear from him and he says she has roundworm and that she needs medication right away. This was at 4:30pm in the middle of the week, I work in Long Beach and I didnt get off for another hour. I had to zip down there and get it before 7pm. If it was so urgent, youd think he wouldve actually called himself, you know, with some sort of sense of urgency. I asked if I could get dewormer for my cat, too, since I had no idea for the past few days (I even thought I had it at once point, theyre super contagious) and they tried to say they really shouldnt but agreed to finally after I said that the doctor insisted I keep the puppy inside and had had accidents all over the house already. A few months later, my pup was having digestive problems and I spent over $200 running tests that proved nothing. I thought it was bacterial from being in the ocean, but come to find out that the $65 I spent on an upgraded fecal test didnt even test for bacteria. Ended up fixing the problem by going to the local Pet Supply down the road who offered solutions the vet never did. Long story short: Vet techs and front desk are very nice and helpful, but I found another vet.

I used animal Medical Center of MV for boarding a new rescue cat (Jackson) that needed multiple daily medications post-procedure. The poor dear had an ulcerated cornea from a claw in the eye. He had an ophthalmology procedure performed by the SoCal Veterinary Specialists (Dr Mar) and needed medicated eyedrops administered 3 times a day. As Jacksons brand new caretaker, I was confronted with a scared, anxious cat that had been abandoned twice and did not like or trust people. I was so stressed out that I couldnt give him his necessary post-procedure eye drops (he was NOT having it!) that I reached out to this local vet center for help. The wonderful staff here at Animal Medical Center boarded him and had no problems giving him his prescribed eyedrops. When I contacted them, Jill was very helpful and caring, and Sara & Morgan were outstanding staff members that radiated compassion and their love of animals. These two wonderful ladies were professional and empathetic towards the tough times this poor animal had been subjected to. I visited Jackson most days he stayed here (which was the most Ive ever been at a vet) and their operations here are top notch - with animal welfare being a top priority. This place and the staff members mentioned above are real gems. Theyve earned my trust and I will be back.

They were extremely helpful with advise on prepping new diet to help resolve his skin issues. Just food for dogs has a option where you can make the food and add proprietary blend, (which you purchase from Vet) office. Vetanarian and the staff were very responsive to me and my dog. They answered my questions and I feel they gave above average care because of the time spent with me answering my questions. I better understood the treatment plan because of it. I will continue to take Jack there! My dog received the best care here. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. There prices are reasonable, and top notch care is provided. Dr. Singh, very caring and top notch bedside manner with my dog and myself. He truly cares about what he is doing. He is also very skilled and competent. I recommend bring your pet here. Dr. Redlinger also cared for my dog with top notch skill and bedside manner. I have been very impressed with both Vetenarian and all the staff too. I highly recommend them!!

My girlfriend and I recently adopted a sweet Shih Tzu puppy named Mojo. A couple days ago we noticed that he has a "cherry eye" in one of his eyes. We contacted Animal Medical Center of Mission Viejo and they got us an appointment the very next day. We were shocked that we left the appointment without paying a penny. They gave us our options of what to do without any pressure of getting it done today. The staff couldnt have been nicer and they even called us the next day to make sure our little Mojo was doing ok. We would 100% recommend Animal Medical Center to anyone needing a Vet, even if you currently have one I would still give them a call. We couldnt be happier, thank you Animal Center!! Helpful when I needed help! My lab had been swimming and when he came in, he wouldnt put his foot on the floor. Next day, the vet here squeezed him into her already booked schedule, and I was very grateful. She suggested x-rays of his foot; as it turned out, he had a split/broken toenail which had to be removed by my regular vet the next day, but I appreciated the antibiotic/pain med he was able to start until the real cause was identified. The x-rays ended up not being necessary and they were pricey - but we didnt really know that at the time.

Wonderful! My dear dog of 12 years had surgery to remove a sore/growth, this was her second surgery for the same area. The first surgery never healed well this time she healed so quickly. It was a big surgery plus she had three teeth removed and teeth cleaned. Excellent care and great results. This is our vet from now on. They also go over the bill with you and explain all charges and choices ahead of time and dont pressure you at all. I feel they are honest, fair and give great care. Thank you.

The staff at Animal Medical Center in Mission Viejo are amazing. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and have a genuine love for all animals. My dog was given to us by a friend whos boys were allergic. We took her in and loved on her but she did have lots anxiety and difficulty trusting people. AMC knows this about her and when she comes in the office they are quick to love on her and shower her with affection. The doctors are great and always have a pleasant experience when we go.
