They killed my dog. I took him for a teeth cleaning. While my dog was under anesthesia, the vet decided to take a phone call in another room, leaving my dog with a mildly trained intern for roughly "10 or so minutes" (thats what he said). I later found out the call wasnt an emergency. Which leaves me to wonder why he took the call anyway. Once my dog was dead NO ONE from the vet called us. It wasnt until my wife called to check on him, did they tell us our dog was dead (and had been for at least 30 minutes). Once we got there, I asked the intern what happened since she was the only one in the room with my dog when he died, and she couldnt give me a straight answer. Kept stumbling over her words saying Im sorry and "I dont know". They volunteered to do an autopsy, which I declined, but my wife decided to do one with them. I told them that I wanted another place, any place but them to do the autopsy because I didnt trust them at this point. What they ended up doing was the autopsy themselves, and tried to blame it on "potential heart problems". We asked what does "potential heart problems" mean, and he said that my dog possibly had an enlarged heart... once again asking to explain...and he said he couldnt but for us to know the "hes sorry for the accident". For one, my dog was very healthy, had no heart problems. Second, before they did his teeth cleaning, they did a screening which we had to pay extra for, to make sure he was good to be put under anesthesia. Not only was all test good, we were told he was in good health. So to hear AFTER THEY KILLED MY DOG, that he believes my dog had health problems is bullshit. Please do not take your dog to this place.

The kennels look like a place that dogs are abandoned and ultimately put down. The kennels were miserably small and uncomfortable looking with a pee/poop hole in the middle. The staff lied to us about what we could give our dog to comfort her while we were away and after driving out to the sticks to see the place, told us she couldnt have any of her own bedding/toys. My girlfriend couldnt forget or feel comfortable leaving our dog in the conditions we observed. There is a small bare outdoor area that the employees supposedly take the dogs out several times a day although I didnt see that happening while I was there and the dogs are left overnight without care/supervision for 14hours. Im not an expert in animal care but we treat our dog like a beloved family member and dont want it neglected/punished just because we go on vacation.

We have been going here for years for all kinds of dog and cat problems. This place is really great. The other place "in town" is ridiculous and charges $100 just to be seen that day. Country vet is thorough and does most of the lab work on the spot, without the "well have to send it out for $400 and wait 4 days". Everyone has been nice and they follow up when they say they will. I agree with the other reviews about the kennels, but I have never seen any better and would consider standard.

I have been taking my animals to Country Vet Clinic for over 25 years. The staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable. The vets have changed over the years except for Dr. Long. He has been there every time I needed his help and returning my phone calls to just answer simple questions. Over all the years the new vets that have come have all been great too. I have sent numerous friends to them for the animals care. I would recommend them to anyone needing pet care.

My dog was injured while boarded in the kennel facility. The staff did not take any notice, and the vet did not provide any care. Dr. L refused to take responsibility or share in the cost of follow up care with a different vet. The staff even made accusations that my dog entered the boarding facility with a pre-existing injury. After 12 years of being a patron of this business, I will no longer recommend the Country Vet to anyone.

My little girl tinkerbell was not felling herself for a while. Wouldnt play or go out side. To her to see Jerry yesterday he gave me some meds to help with her arthritis. Today she is wanting to go outside and wanting to play. I am a happy mama. Thanks Jerry and staff.
