I have taken my dog here since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 7. I recently noticed some irregularities with his urine and brought this to the vets attention. During our visit the vet was rude to her staff, very critical of me, seemed irritated by my concern and got mad at me that my dog snapped at her when she pushed on his abdomen and back legs. I tried to look past her attitude and took her advice. Did the urine analysis. The urine came back with blood and bacteria. We did a 10 day antibiotic and did another UA which came back with bacteria. So they thought neutering him would fix it. So I neutered him. After a few weeks of not hearing back from them I called and asked if we needed to do another UA to see if the problem was fixed and they said "yeah, the doctor said that she wants to do another one." Before I could bring him in for a UA he stayed up all night panting heavily. I decided at midnight I needed to take him to the emergency vet.they did x-rays and discovered he had a urinary stone and prescribed him pain meds, but suggested i go to Animal Hospital to confirm. I waited a few days to hear from animal hospital and then called them. The lady who answered the phone confirmed she received the fax and I said "what do we do now?" And she replied with "what do you want us to do?" To answer your question publicly.. take care of my dog like hes a member of your family, like you would expect your dog to be treated. I wasnt a demanding patient. I just wanted your help. I took my dog to another vet and they agreed with the emergency vet and they did surgery on him today. They removed a stone similar in size to a nectarine pit. If I had left my dogs care in the hands of animal hospital he could have passed away from getting this stone logged in his urethra. I feel they have more patients than they can handle, disorganized (could benefit from making appointments instead of walk-ins only), and have become calluced and lost compassion. My heart breaks thinking if I waited any longer I could have lost my dog, my son, my family due to their neglect. Im sorry to say this but I completely protest this vet hospital and tell everyone not to go here. I hope they change gears and this review opens their eyes and make ALL their patients a priority along with their owners. I will say Diane and Dr. Castinelli were the only ones who ever showed compassion at this place. But the overall experience was poor when it came down to serious matters.

this teriffic place has been treating all my animals (dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits) forever. They have helped us thru many an emergency and crisis, always caring and compassionate. They give all the options available, including the less costly ones. They have waited for me even close to closing inorder to treat my pets, and always keep me updated on the animals who are spending an overnight visit or more with them. My pets have had long and healthy lives, and I attribute this to the great vet care. I would recommend this vet whole heartedly.

We have several dogs that suffer from numerous dental issues, as well as seizures. The staff and doctors at Lodi Animal Hospital are always very friendly and knowledgeable. They are kind and compassionate when treating our dachshunds. Their procedure fees are much less than neighboring competitors. We highly recommend this animal hospital for your pet needs.
