MY DOG DIED HERE DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE! I brought my small rescue dog here because she had a little piece of steak stuck in her throat that she couldnt quite cough out. The doctor who saw her said "oh, its not a big deal" and used a metal rod and literally shoved it down her throat and did and said "she should be fine now" and sent her home with me with some pain killer for her throat. Well, when I brought her home, she was not acting normal and was clearly lethargic and would not eat and so I brought her back to Adobe. The doctor looked at her and said maybe she just needs some fluids and so she suggested I leave her there so they could administer IV fluids for a couple of days. So I did. When I went back to check on her the next day, they would not let me see her and staff were running around and I asked what was going on and a nurse said my dog was going into cardiac arrest...long story short, whatever that doctor and hospital did to my dog, wether it was the aggressive manner the doctor shoved the metal rod down my dogs throat or unnecessarily giving my dog too much fluids, who knows, but my otherwise healthy dog ended up on a respirator at that hospital for over a week and later died from her little lungs bursting because they could not take the machines pumping oxygen in them any longer. And not once, did that doctor ever call me to apologize or offer words of condolences... To make matters worse, they STILL BILLED ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for their hospital services!! When i went to pick up my babys ashes, I was still in shock and mourning that I paid the bill without even thinking, but later realized what I had done was a huge mistake. I begged that they donate the money used to try to save my poor dogs life to a non-profit rescue group to rescue hundreds of dogs with that money but the Manager refused. Her comment to me was "Pursue us in other ways if you like..." Heartless Corporation. They are not a compassionate Animal Hospital. PLEASE! If you love animals, as I do, support your local Vets and take your fur babies to their private Veterinarian Clinics and not to this greedy Corporation that only cares about PROFIT!

I have been going to Adobe for my cats medical care for over a decade. I have always gotten the treatment I need, but they are a half hour drive away and rather expensive. I have always considered trying another place and one day my cat stopped eating. After two more days of not eating and napping the whole time I decided to take her to emergency. I tried in vain to find an open clinic that didnt have bad online reviews. While at it, I noticed Adobe had bad reviews for a certain Dr. Roos. So I gathered up my cat and wallet and headed to the clinic with deep concern. How surprised was I when I was informed the only vet on duty who could see my cat was the same Dr. Roos. I expected the worst. "He hates cats!" I had read. Well, Im here to say that he doesnt hate cats. Mr. Roos looked me straight in the eye and shook my hand firmly. He checked out every inch of my poor kitty and explained in detail his concerns and the many possibilities of my cats affliction. There was little to do but give her some fluids and a shot of steroids to give her the "oomph" she might need to get well on her own. He sent us home and said if she doesnt improve that night to bring her back the next day for more extensive diagnostics. Before I left he mentioned that he had to leave the next day for his vacation, but that (much to his wifes potential chagrin) he wanted me to keep him informed of my cats progress via email. Sure enough my cat didnt eat and I brought her back the next day. Another vet saw her and took her to stay overnight, get more fluids, and hopefully eat. Luckily she did eat and I picked her up the next day with a course of antibiotics. I was relieved to see her perk up and become her old self. I relayed the events to Dr. Roos every day and replied promptly. Never once did I have cause to think I was being shuffled or disregarded. It wasnt cheap, true, but it was good care and my pet is well now. I am comforted to know I can take my pets to Adobe and count on them for professional care.

ZERO STARS for ZERO care. Do NOT come here My bird received nothing but absolute apathy from the personnel at this "hospital" My bird was denied to even be seen by the 5 personnel at the lobby never mind there were no other clients at the time of our visit. No need to make faces at the presence of a sick animal that urgently needs care. We are more of a threat to a sick animal than the other way around. When the time is crucial and its a literal life or death situation, you want to find empathy, hospitable care and see professionals put their expertise to work-but most of all, you need actual care and love for your animal. The personnel did not possess the most caring, appreciative traits for the life of my bird. On the contrary, they were inconvenienced and it showed by their facial expressions. This is the last thing you need to experience in times like these. When the going gets tough, dont take your sick animal here, they did not care for the life of my animal when it mattered the most. I only wasted my birds precarious life by coming here only to face this nullity. Your pet deserves to be seen by people who actually truly care for its life and recovery, both in good times, and in the bad times. Your pets deserve to go somewhere where every life of the animals that arrive at its premises are truly valued, not where they are turned away when they need help the most. Thankfully My feathered friend found a true functional animal hospital that was able to see him. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy. ~Martin Luther King Jr.

We have taken our two dogs to Adobe since 2003, and have had many, many visits both for routine scheduled care and for emergencies: they are both extremely active, and the male has managed to puncture himself several times while running at Ft. Funston. Before these two, we adopted a blind dog and because of pancreatic problems had taken her to (it seems like) every vet in CA and WA, but never before have we experienced the level of care and personalization we have had every time we have been to Adobe. Are the waits long, especially if non-scheduled emergencies? Of course: they are extremely popular, and the old facility was very, very small. Are the prices high? Maybe, but not by much, and you get what you pay for, and it saved our dogs life. Last but not by any means least, we have been able to stay with our pets every minute of every step, even in extended stay after major life-threatening surgery. This has not only kept our pets much less stressed, but we have been able to assist in innumerable ways that resulted in quicker and far more effective procedures. When a question came up, we were there to make the decision.
