So i read through most of reviews and noticed that for every one bad review there is 2-4 good ones ....not really sure which of the good ones were actually customer reviews....just saying. Anyway the reason i call them Money Hungry theives is because i took my cat in for 3-4 months and they could not figure out what was going on ...everytime i went in it would cost me an average of $500 bucks .....i gave up i was going to put the cat down because it was loosing alot of weight ...i new there was something seriously wrong with my cat, but American hospital wanted to do exploratory surgwery on the cat even though the x-rays did not show anything. So finally i decided maybve a new vet just to see if the results were the same ...People i spent less th an $300 bucks and the cat is better and gaining weight. Let me give you some comparison American hospital blood work was costing me about $350 the new vet did a senior comprehensive blood test for $134 and the meds were a lot cheaper too. when i spoke with the vet over the phone before he saw my cat he had had aready diagnosed her and now she is getting better. HAd i continued going to american hospital i would of been broke and with a dead cat. Go to Central vet Down the street you will save money and possible your pet.

This place is absolutely, completely and utterly the WORST vet Ive ever had the misfortune to deal with. The front staff is the wonderful combination of rude, glacially slow, and clueless. They would much rather gossip and shoot the breeze with eachother than actually help a customer. The Vets themselves seem nice in person, but they are also clueless. Ive been trying for three weeks to get them to authorize two perscriptions through Drs. Foster and Smith. At first they authorized one and denied the other since I needed to pay them for "blood tests" and an exam. I sucked it up, blew $100, and tried to resubmit the order. Now they authorized the one I blew the money on and denied the original one, claiming they need another $200 for a uninalysis and blood test. Then they flat out lied to me about it when I called. They coudnt possibly care less for the well being of my dog - they only do anything ever if it involves them getting their fees. I hope they fold and their employees end up on the street. Businesses this bad dont deserve to survive!

When picking up my cat after surgery I reviewed the medications with the "tech". I noticed that they had the wrong weight for my cat. I asked if they had based the medications on this weight and was told they had. I then requested to review my cats chart to see if they had using the wrong weight while under their care and they refused. Had I not noticed their error I would have gone home with an inappropriate dose of the medications. This could have caused harm and potentially killed my cat. This is a practice that allows unqualified people operate as the Veterinarian. When I pointed out the error the veterinarian in the practice at the time had accountability and blamed it on a "tech" that was distressed due to his father being in the hospital being treated for a cardiac condition. Do not trust that these veterinarians are ethical.

Horrible. How does this Google review have 5 stars for this place? Check out Yelp. Ugh. This place nearly killed my cat by giving wrong medication. The bottle was labeled correctly but that wasnt was inside it. My cat was near heart attack stage. Took her and the meds to another vet. They confirmed my worst fear. Thank God for the new vet. She saved my cats life. She also got UC Davis involved. I took the pills back to AACC and spoke to someone who said she was the director. She claims different manufacturers can make them different looking. Okay, but i told her it wasnt the same medication. I let her keep one so she could look it up She wanted all the pills back. I told her no and said I will never be back.

Please beware!! Our dog had his ears cropped and they did a terrible job. One ear is longer than the other, he had infection, one of the staff members quite and called me and said they quite because of there terrible practices. They will drug your dog and let them sleep in there own feces. They wash your dog right before pickup, they told he this is there normal practice. They also dont give any of the animals food or water. The abuse can not continue. Our dog now has mismatched ears. Please do your research there many terrible stories about this place with similar stories. There in business for your money, not the interest of your pet.

American Animal Centers Dr Salwan is obviously a fantastic vet. I brought in my 15 year old cat, and he obviously knew what was going on immediately. He did a touch-test and knodded to me - no need to run expensive tests - Max is hyperthyroid, and the doc wrote me a prescription right away. One week later, I was able to get the prescription compounded, and now I dont need to give my cat a pill! A little ointment on his ear, and thats it. Max is eating and keeping his food down now, and hes gaining weight again. I am going to use Dr Salwan for as long as hes a vet! Hes fantastic.

Ive only been here once, on a Emergency basis, but the care and service were outstanding. Our pet had gotten into some cleaners and degreasers in our garage and within hours was very sick and not moving. We rushed him to the hospital and they IMMEDIATELY took us in and gave our dog the treatment he needed. We picked him up 2 days later and he was great, back to his old self. We seriously thought we were going to lose him. Thank you Dr. Tama, THANK YOU for everything including you follow up calls to see how our dog was.

It was our first time in here and we love the staff they all seem nice and the ones that helped us out were really nice! I go here for convenience. The place looks great on the outside and inside. But everytime I go there, it is mass confusion....it feels like they just opened the doors. I went there recently and just needed to pick up a few things...after about 30 minutes waiting in mass confusion, I just left. I also think they are very expensive and my Vet acted scared of my very gentle dog. I thought that was weird.

Ive been here numerous times with our new kitten and I think the service is great! We had her declawed here and she has come a few times for shots and other times she has been sick. The staff is great and they never leave your pet alone if you leave them here overnight. Dr. Tama, Dr. Salwan are wonderful and the staff treats you like you have been a customer for years.
