As an adult who actually had braces when I was a child I found myself needing them again. I never once wore my retainer after braces the first time, a big mistake. But even after the braces the first time I wasn’t very happy with the results as they were still uneven, un-level and not as straight as I would have like them. After waiting for my children to be done with braces I was amazed at how much my teeth moved over the years. I think they were worse than before I had braces as a child. Getting braces again as an adult was a difficult decision for me. On one hand I was ashamed to smile, it was starting to affect my speech, and having braces as an adult I thought would be really embarrassing. On the other hand, I loathed getting my picture taken especially when they say “Smile”, it was getting worse and as I got older how bad was my smile and self-esteem going to get? I was examined by two other Orthodontists before visiting Dr. Boese’s office but didn’t feel comfortable or confident in the possible results. However upon recommendation from a co-worker I tried Dr. Boese and I never felt more at ease and confident during my first visit to his office. I was impressed that his practice unlike others has come way beyond the archaic ways and embrace’s the digital age, all its enhancements and other cutting edge orthodontic technology. While I had braces as an adult I was surprised of how many other adults I met that had them or have had them as adults. I also saw other adults during my visits to Dr Boese’s office. So all in all I didn’t stand out like I feared and wasn’t embarrassing at all at any time. Also, the Dr. Boese management team did a fantastic job of selecting staff, they are not only friendly and warm but they take pride in their work and your comfort. Office visits I always received personal attention, good communications, and care about my comfort. I am 50 years old and just got my braces off this year and it was worth it! Not only did they get them strait they got them level and adjusted the gum line. I went in with a mess and came out with an awesome smile! Now I smile big at every picture event. I highly recommend for Orthodontic work Dr. Lee Boese D.D.S. and there outstanding staff. Thank you Dr. Boese & Dr. Boese, Jr. and all your outstanding staff for new bright smiling chapter in my life! My wife also thanks you for the changes she has seen in me since the new smile. Im the transfer case of Dr.Boese 2 years ago, and now I have to say that Dr. Boese is a smile-saver! When I first came to Dr.Boese office, I was in a pretty bad situation as my former orthodontist in Orange County "messed up" with my teeth and was being dishonest about money billing issues. Thank God I got admission to UCMerced and had to transfer to a different orthodontist, who is DR. Boese now. I have to say that this change is the best thing thats ever happen to me and Dr.Boese has given me the best present of life that everyone wishes for: a beautiful smile. The staff working at the office are extremely nice and they all work in a professional manner as they always make sure that you feel comfortable and you NEVER have to wait a long time for your turn. Dr.Boese is especially nice and he always take good care of every single case. He will talk to you and tell you what he is going to do step by step to make what change accordingly. During the process, depend on your case he will adjust the method to make sure it is the most effective and fastest process. As a college student, the last thing I want is to get extra charges for some reason like the brackets fall off because I dont take good care of it .... (which I encountered with my former dentist) here Dr.Boese will tell you how much the whole process cost, and you can make payment easily every month knowing how much you still have to pay and how much you have paid. Everything is crystal clear and I feel really comfortable every time I visit the his office. There I feel that Im cared for by very best people, and you will never feel being left out or "forgotten" even when the office is its "busy" hours. The money that I paid is completely worth it. Its unbelievable how different I looked before and after the magical hands of Dr.Boese. He has given me, a college student, the confidence I need to live and study at my very best. You have no idea how much a beautiful smile can change your life until you really see it yourself. For me, Ive never felt this confident before. This is the best option for who is looking for an orthodontist in Merced if you want to feel beautiful everytime you look at yourself in the mirror. Good luck, Anh

Amazing, Amazing, AMAZING!!! It has been 8 years since I had my braces removed and I still get tons of compliments on my awesome bite and smile! I transferred to Dr. Boeses office with an extremely difficult case. I was in my mid-20s and had permanent teeth that were impacted in my palette and the chances of saving these teeth were highly unlikely (according to my previous orthodontist.) For an entire year my previous orthodontist had me in some kind of appliance that pretty much just sat on the roof of my mouth making absolutely no positive changes. I was extremely frustrated and the thought of losing my permanent teeth terrified me as well as the thought of having to come up with $10,000 for implants to replace my soon to be missing teeth. I was so desperate that I reached out to an old classmate on Facebook whos father was a respected dentist and he said, "hands down, you have to go see Dr. Boese, he handles tons of difficult cases!" At my first consultation, Dr. Boese said my case would be extensive but assured me that he would be able to save my permanent teeth 100%. He even showed me successful cases that were identical to my case. I could have cried I was so excited and treatment started right away. It took 3 years to complete my case and my smile looks better than I ever imagined. He has an amazing well trained staff that seem to take pride in their work and the office environment was ALWAYS warm and friendly :). I also learned the huge difference between having straight teeth vs. having straight teeth and a perfect bite. Any orthodontist can straighten teeth, but it takes a special orthodontist "bite-specialist," to not only straighten the teeth but correct the bite as well so that the teeth are protected for the rest of your life. I have since referred a handful of friends and family to Dr. Boeses office and they ALL share the same respect and satisfaction that I have for his work. Dr. Boese is a true perfectionist and my bite and smile prove it!!!!

I began going to Boese Orthodontics when I was 11 years old, because I was in dire need of braces and other orthodontic reconstruction. My older brother went to Boese Orthodontics as well, and I always admired how perfect his teeth turned out. My journey to dental bliss is ALL attributed to the Boeses and their amazing staff. When I began going to the Boeses, I never knew how amazing they could make my smile look. When I was young, my smile was something I tried to hide, and now as an adult my smile is something I love. In high school, I won best smile, I compete for the Miss America Organization, and was crowned Miss Merced County 2012, and now currently Miss Gavilan Hills 2014. I will be competing for Miss California 2014 in June of this year. My smile is one of the most complimented things about me, and without the Boeses and their kind staff that would all be not be accomplishable. I have never felt more welcome in an office than I have in the Boeses. When I say how kind they are, I mean it. They truly care about what they do, and want to make you as comfortable as possible. The entire office is warm and bubbly, and the Boeses truly know their craft. They will go above and beyond to ensure that you walk out with a million dollar smile. I put my word behind Boese Orthodontics, 100%. They are the best in town. I owe them so much, especially for giving me the confidence to smile as big as possible.
