Oh my Jesus I hate going to the dentist. Ive been procrastinating on getting my cavities checked out (surprise, surprise) but a friend recommended me to summer smile dental since my teeth have been hurting lately (4/10 on a scale of 1-10). I called ahead to verify that they accepted my insurance and the receptionist was very friendly and made a same day appt (10am). I took the metro and quickly located the office. 15 mins of filling out forms later, Dr. Torbati took me into her office and explained the process to me: they were gonna take an X ray to check out my teeth, identify the problem, and discuss treatment options. Her confidence and sensitivity to my pain eased my nervousness. Going into it I knew I had a few cavities and after the X ray, Dr. Torbati found the one causing me the most grief and told me my treatment options. It felt like she was genuinely concerned about my well being and the 1-on-1 attention made me feel safe enough by that point to get the cavity handled the same day. The whole procedure took maybe an hour and the pain level was between 0.5-1 out of 10. Mostly my jaw hurt from keeping it open but no pain from the procedure itself (+3). Ive been to some dentists where the pain from treatment was equal to or worse than the pain from the actual problem so the fact that there was hardly any pain with Dr. Torbati pretty much blew me out of the water; I feel much more secure about returning for the rest of my cavities. Plus, the treatment was surprisingly affordable considering the quality of care I received. My SO sees a dentist on sunset and he tried convincing me to go there at first but while his dentist is good, Im not about to pay the cost of a used car on my teeth (it is sunset, after all). Overall Im really satisfied with the price, service and attention from this clinic and will for sure be returning

Terrifying, bait and switched. Here is why I dont like this group. I went in for 2 extractions and one implant. As I was having my teeth pulled Dr. Dona Torbatis 3 year old is running around the office its spring break and she cant find a sitter. As my mouth is being packed and sewn up the child is running around my head over to mom whos hands are in my mouth and Dr. Dona is yelling for her sister to come watch the child and makes a comment she needs more practice sewing up. Needless to say I had an anxiety attack which takes a lot to trigger. Finally I go in for implant. Her sister Dr. Shaila Torbati is taking over her sister just had baby. Shaila says Im not ready for implant took all my money up front and still waiting for implant. I demand a refund, in the end I was charged $600 for bone grafting and $200 for teeth pulling. Moral of my story dont pay for services until they are rendered. Dr. Shaila said she wouldnt pay for a pair of shoes only to wait 6 months to wear them, I will pay for my teeth when service is rendered and nothing up front. Thanks for teaching me a valuable lesson Glow Dental I sure miss Dr. Shearer. Very dirty, dusty light fixture as I looked up and opened my mouth for surgery. When I went in for simple teeth cleaning $85 then the girl cleaning tried to get me for $300 for deep cleaning, ended up doing bad basic cleaning for $85. They threatened me that Dr. wouldnt put implant in without deep cleaning. I told them Im going on vacation in 5 days Dr. should have told me that before she took my money. Get ready to continuously pull out your wallet or be smart and go somewhere else like Im going to do.

WOW I am impressed! no pain what so ever. The doctor was very honest and trustworthy. They explain everything you need in detail, and dont over charge for unnecessary work. Martha the dental receptionist was very helpful. She answered all my questions regarding the fees. They never made me wait. Its not like my old office that over scheduled. I am so happy I found this place. I have sent them all my friends and family. The doctor is the best. She always takes her time. I love this place. I will never go to another dentist. It has an homey feel to it. I dont feel like a number. I truly feel like I need to send them a christmas card because they feel like family. I called them after hours once because I was having pain and the after hours answering service patched me through to talk to the doctor herself at 10 pm. I was so impressed. They actually care. Thank you so much. I love my new smile!!!!!

Nice and seemingly competent staff, but their office hours are more flexible than the website would suggest. They tend not to be in unless there is an appointment, so dont expect the office to be open during the actual "office hours". Though the schedule is a huge pain to deal with, they will work with you on a lot of things, including payments, procedures, and make excellent referrals if they have trouble diagnosing an issue.

Just moved to Orange and needed a new dentist, this office is the perfect fit. They are very thorough and knowledgeable. Everything is clean and they use digital x-rays, so i was able to see my teeth up on the screen which was nice. The dentist is super gentle and calm. They even have 0% interest payment plans.

I came in due to pain & had the most pain-free treatment Ive experienced. I have a huge fear of dental procedures but had multiple cavities filled quickly & without the pain/soreness Im used to with these types of procedures. Definitely coming back!

Nowadays its hard to trust any dentist, some of these guys are worse than used car salesman. But I love the fact that I found Dr. Torbati here on Yelp, she was nice, courteous, professional and her rates were very fair. I recommend her to all.

AMAZING experience! Very nice office with great staff. The doctor was SUPER GENTLE and nice. She explained everything to me and helped me understand what and why i needed. I could tell she is very knowledgeable and experienced.
