I had been taking all my animals, both cats & dogs to Brandner Veterinary Hospital for well over 20 years. I became very unsatisfied with the quality of care as well as how I was treated and decided to switch vets. I decided on Petaluma Veterinary Hospital and had been there only one time prior when my beloved dog took a turn for the worse and needed to be put down. I had an appointment for my other dog this particular day and called to see if I could combine both dogs on the same appointment and explained the circumstances they said they could. I was not only putting Sophie down I was also having her cremated. After being by her side as she passed, I was so distraught & crying, I walked up to pay and they said not to worry about the bill which was a few hundred dollars and that we could square up in a few days. They actually let me leave, owing that much money, and I had only been to them one time prior. They didnt know me or my history of payments but they took a chance on me. Ive never had a veterinarian do anything like that before and it warmed my heart when they were more concerned with the pain I was feeling at the moment, and the money was secondary. That made a tremendous impression on me and because of that and the great care they provide my animals, they deserve my business and my loyalty. It was days later and I still hadnt received a bill yet so I called and the gal I spoke with said they didnt want to appear insensitive by sending a bill too quickly. Who does that these days?

Dr. Smith and staff are always happy to see my pet. I love the fact that the doctor takes the time to explain everything to me in a way I can understand. The technicians are nice and really care about my dog and the receptionist always remembers my name. I highly recommend Petaluma Veterinary Hospital!
