Ive been seeing Dr. Sweringen since the mid-1980s when I worked in the area and he was recommended by a co-worker. Thats been over 30 years. When I retired in 2004, I made the decision to stay with him and now I drive about 100 miles round trip to my annual exams. Why? Because he is personable, extremely talented and funny. His state-of-the-art equipment provides the exacting measurements required to keep my monocular vision tuned to perfection. I recently "forbade" him to retire...just kidding...but I hope he continues on with his practice far into the future. The office staff is well-trained and they smoothly handle insurance and contact re-orders. I never have to wait to see Dr. Sweringen and I recommend him highly. The patient who gave OC Optometry 1 Star for a bad first visit has written a total of 6 reviews with AN AVERAGE of 2 Stars. She doesnt like anything.

I have been going to Eyecare Optometry since 1989. . After the death of my husband, I no longer was on his insurance plan. I tried two other optometries that my new plan gave me, but I was not satisfied so I chose to go back to Eyecare Optometry and pay without insurance. I have done that for the past 8 years. I feel getting the right care for your eyes is of utmost importance so I chose to return to the one I knew would be thorough and caring. Dr. Robert Thomas has been my Doctor all these years and it was great to know I made the right choice. Besides, I like the office personnel. I always am recognized and made to feel at ease.

I have been with Eyecare Optometry for many years through lasik and cataracts, and many other issues. You provide the best care available and I especially appreciate your fitting me in for my last appointment. Even though you are not covered under my insurance, your standard eye exam allows to get me eyes cared for at a very reasonable cost, and with the assurance I will get a good exam and the right prescription. I have been seeing Dr. Dougal since 1968. I have had every issue with my eyes you can imagine. Dr. Dougal has always been there with solutions and just recently I had cataract surgery with some additional laser adjustments per his recommendation and for the first time in my life I see 20/20. I am his number one fan and would recommend him and his office to anyone who wants a really good optometrist!!!

Dr Thomas is the best! I had been told by another optometry office that decreasing peripheral vision was normal as I got older!!! My wife suggested Dr Thomas and he discovered (and just in time!!!) I had a detached retina!! Two surgeries later, I have sight back in my left eye. If it werent for Dr Thomas, I hate to think where Id be now.

Dr. Swearingen has been my optometrist since I was a child. He has cared for my family for over 20 years. He is now caring for my own family. He is personable, professional, and polite. The office staff is great at taking care of all the insurance components. I never have had any issues. They are prompt and never have to wait.

Our neighbor recommended Dr. Thomas to us two years ago and we couldnt be happier. Dr. Thomas is the ultimate professional, very personable, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and knows his trade well. I have been seen by Dr. Swearingen for my vision since I was a kid. Now I have my own family and were still going to see him for our vision health. He is professional and up to date on the latest technology with both glasses and contact lenses. I would highly recommended this office.
