My whole family go to the Rocklin Eye Center and have done so for about 9 years now since moving to Rocklin from the UK. We LOVE this place. Everyone is super friendly and the office is so clean, bright and fresh looking with lots of parking spaces out front. The front desk staff are very helpful and polite and they all seem to enjoy working there. All the Doctors are wonderful and really take their time with you and explain everything very well. Dr John Coen is excellent and I have him for my annual examination. My husband and children have Dr Gittins and he is excellent too. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who help you choose glasses or get you fitted up for contact lenses. They are brilliant and very patient and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a fantastic optometric center, look no further, you have to pay them a visit to experience their expertise. They are the best and always win the Placer Herald Awards. I would never go anywhere else. I have given the Five Stars because they are THE BEST.

Do not see Dr. Cohen. He was an extreme disappointment. My exam lasted less than ten minutes and he got my prescription completely wrong. Im very nearsighted (roughly -9.00) and he didnt seem to believe it, instead insisting that my previous glasses were over-correcting. I came back in twice to get the prescription fixed and both times he upped the correction just a tiny bit and then essentially told me to get used to it, he wouldnt go any higher. I was left unable to read street signs until I was in the intersection with them, unable to read subtitles or TV Guide entries on the television. When I went back the third time, they told me that it had been too long since the original exam and they couldnt do anything for me. I paid $200 out of pocket, on top of my yearly insurance benefit, for a pair of glasses basically the same as the three-year-old pair I was replacing. Im never going back there again.

I saw Dr. Gittins and he was very thorough and he is a good communicator. I would have given 5 stars if I had not been sitting waiting for the Doctor for 20 minutes. Michelle was excellent in providing input on the frames and lenses......I bought 2 pairs of glasses and she made it very easy.....she was great. Overall, my experience was very good and I will be coming back to see Dr. Gittins. I did at a later date met with Pedro to adjust my glasses......he was great. My only constructive comment in general is you have to wait to be seen at least 15 to 20 minutes, whether its the Doctor or to have your glasses adjusted or picked up. Dan Segur

Everyone was very professional. There were two issues (not big at all) 1) when I first walked in, I asked if I needed an appointment; I was asked to complete a form and have a seat. I waited 30 minutes to find out I needed an appointment. I would have rather completed the form and made an appointment without the wait. 2) one of the receptionist was either suffering from allergies or a cold, either way, when she coughed into her hand and then pick up a pen and offered it to me. I wish she had excused herself, even if that meant I had to wait while she washed her hands.

Absolutely the most thorough examination my eyes have ever had. I especially liked the diagnostic scan of my retina in lieu of dilation, even if it was at an additional cost. Dr. Gittin was especially professional in his description of the condition of and changes in my eyes. I had no real wait for anything and was positively impressed by the amount of staffing they have for serving patients. I feel that I got my moneys worth and then some. If you think how important your eyesight is in the whole scheme of things, this type and quality of care is especially good.

On June 11, 2015 I had my annual eye exam. I have been seeing Dr. Randy Fuerst for some 25 years. My last visit was great as usual, nice ladies at the front desk, a very competent lady technician, who did all the testing and a great exam by Dr.Randy. I feel that the EYE Center Optometric is the best in the Sacramento area, with the latest in testing equipment, plus the skill of Dr. Randy and his staff. When you get there, you are not just a patient to make money from, you are a person that they genuinely care for.

Had an eye exam with Dr. John Coen at the Rocklin location. He was very professional and explained my condition in easy to understand terms. I felt like I had a good amount of time with the Doctor and didnt feel rushed. After the exam I worked with Rachell ( normally from the Folsom location) to pick out my glasses. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, I had a very positive experience with all the staff and will definitely be a return patient in the future.

I felt that I staff was very helpful and polite. They greeted us (my husband and I) when we entered and were eager to assist us. The eye exam itself was very thorough and the retinal exam was whole lot easier then previously. It was like have "space age" technology in this little old Rocklin. I enjoyed meeting the new Doctor (sorry I am bad with names so I dont remember her name) but she was very personable and easy to speak with. All in all I think they all "rock".

Very pleasant staff and doctors. I did not understand relationship to an ophthalmologist so didnt know what to expect. After I came home and googled terms, it made more sense to me. Main point is that Im having less trouble with my eyes with their treatment. Methods of treatment are introduced gradually so no more than required to improve discomfort of ones eyes. Eyes are having less trouble and hoping for even more.

I recently saw Dr. Coen for my yearly eye exam. As always, the exam itself was very thorough and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Coen is always very friendly and professional. I never feel like I am being pressured to buy anything that is not necessary or not what Ive asked for. Everyone is very accommodating to the patients needs. I highly recommend this office and will be back next year!

Dr Gittens was the best eye doctor I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen a lot of doctors since I have been wearing contacts for 20+ years. He was very personable and friendly and made seeing the eye doctor actually enjoyable. The front office staff were also very nice, warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place.

I have been going to this office for 20 years. Now my daughter goes there and she had to get contacts. They did such a thorough examination and they were very patient while teaching her how to put her contacts in and taking them out. She was so excited that she left that very same day with contacts in hand!
