Is there anything less than one star? What a ridiculous experience this has been. The lady that helped fit my prescription sunglasses and progressive lenses seemed very nice, maybe a little too over the top. I was promised my glasses in two weeks. Two weeks rolled around and I didnt hear a word. I called Eye Designs was told they were not in from the lab. They offered no other explanation and did not even offer to check with the lab until I pushed them to do so. They told me they would call the lab later that day. Never heard back from them. Called the next day and was told they just took the coating off the lenses and we would get them any day. No ETA. A few more days went by...no word from this joke of a business. So I called them back. The glasses still were not in and they had no idea why and didnt offer to even try to find out. After pushing them they said they would call the lab and get back to me. Needless to say, I did not receive a call back. So I called them back the next day. This person told me that something went wrong with the glasses and they had to remake the lenses and it would be another two weeks. I called back after a week. This person told me the lab has been out of the coating I ordered. In other words, yes, someone has been lying to me. Regardless, they told me they would ship out on 2/22 and they would receive them on 2/23. Guess what? Didnt happen! I called on the 22nd, they had no idea where they were and said they would call the lab later in the day. Guess what? No call back until the next day. Now they tell me the lab shipped the glasses, two weeks late mind you, and they shipped them ground and it would be another week before I get them. Ridiculous, incompetent...the adjectives could go on and on. If I ran my business like this, I would be out of business. I can only hope for the same fate for them. Not even one apology along the way. I hope no one there has an ounce of self worth when they go home at night. They dont deserve it.

Been going there for years. However I have been noticing that their frame prices are higher than other places and I believe its because of their location in the mall. and for their remodelling. Too bad they didnt didnt work on maintaining their test equpitments the one they test people on before you see the doctor had glitches and since they determine I had cataracts they sent me to my HMO which is Kaiser an let me tell you Kaisers equipment is a 100% better and their equipment had no glitches and they redid my eye exam with state of the art equipment and in alot less time. I strongely feel that Eye Design has jacked up their prices to cover thier rent and the remodels to their locations. I ended up going to another Optometry office who carry basically the same frames and designers and got my frames for less. Kaiser has some of the same frames that this place carries and even they are cost less. Fancy that. My recommendation is that you can go them for the eye exam but look around for frames at different locations before you purchase from Eye Design. Or you can go in there and price their frames and go to other offices that arent in malls and price their frames. If there is a frame you like , you can find a place that carries the line and if they dont have it, you can ask them if they can order it and how much it would cost.

Poor Customer Service. I had to wait roughly 1/2 hour to be seen after I walked in the door. It was to do a simple exchange on the glasses I had. One lady was helping one guy, then he went to see the doctor, and instead of helping me, she ignored me and slowly removed frames from the counter like she was busy. She never even looked at me. At the same time, I noticed another lady who had finished her previous customer and sat down at the front desk. It was 10 minutes later that the receptionist, who had the same poor attitude others have expressed here, turned to that lady and gave her what Im guessing was my file. The lady came over and was friendly, but it only took 5 minutes to complete my transaction. Waiting as long as I did for such a minor service seems silly and, in my eyes, represents poor customer service.

I have used Eye Designs to purchase glasses frames for the past three years. I like them, but know that Eye Designs can be VERY hit or miss. The optometrists are very nice and professional. The sales staff, however, can be great or poor depending on the person. Typically, I have had good experiences. However, I went to Eye Designs with my younger sister (she was 18) to look at glasses for her. We got the feeling that they did not really want to help her because she was a young person. We waited for quite a long time and then worked with a saleswoman who seemed to want to be anywhere else but with us. That was only one experience though. Overall, Eye Designs has a good selection of frames. Go mid-day to avoid the crowds.

I’m due for a new pair of glasses, so I decided I would go to this place and check their frames out before making an appointment. The employees there are BLIND! After walking in… no one made eye contact and no one greeted me. I thought they were probably busy with their work so I went about and looked at frames on my own. I looked at frames for almost 20 minutes without anyone coming over to help! The worst thing about it all was that I was consistently behind an employee and although I was in her way, she never acknowledged me and she very carefully made sure not to bump into me as she got up from and to her seat MULTIPLE times.

I have been going there for around fifteen years....and they work with my needs and preferences....I "make" them dig out the "manframes" for those of us who do not care for the tiny things that pass for eyeglasses these days...(I monitor a lot of stuff at work, I need the corners of my eyes to see things...the same in playing lazer tag)...just remember its easier to look at frames on the wall before your eyes get dialated! Once in a while the suppliers let them down but the service is usually very good. Sometimes they are very busy...but the location is right in front of the mall and sometimes I can park very close.
