I had happily used Medical Vision Optical in Roseville for many years, until my insurance carrier removed them from its list of approved providers. Theresa at MVO referred me to Granite Pointe Eye Care. I read the reviews of many optometrists, including Granite Pointe Eye Care, and Granite Pointe was in the top group. Because I had an eyeglass prescription from my current ophthalmologist, I focused on reviews of the staff who assist in the selection of frames, and not the doctors who write the prescription. Several reviews praised “Donna,” so before I drove to GPEC, I called to insure she was available. Granite Pointe carries a large number of frames, and Donna was very helpful in selecting styles I preferred. Several were OK, but none were quite what I wanted. Not being interested in shopping for anything, I selected one. Donna understood what I was doing, but she wasn’t satisfied with my accepting “good enough.” She pulled up other eyeglass frames on her computer, showed them to me and selected several that she thought I would like. She promised to order them. A few days later, the frames arrived. When I tried them on, one was just what I wanted. Donna could have “made the sale” and moved on to the next customer. But to her, it was more important that I got what I wanted. After wearing the glasses for two weeks, I didn’t hesitate to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, again with her help in selecting frames. To say Donna is “customer oriented” is to minimize her level of concern for her customers. I’ll pass on some excellent advice from a previous review: “Be sure and ask for Donna.”

Such a beautiful welcoming office. Everyone was very kind and working with my hard schedule. Donna help me to look for frames that would fit my face and be comfortable for me. We found the perfect pair. I couldnt have done it with out here. She was very detailed and I went for the upgraded everything. Thank you to the friendly staff and Donna. My child and I have both been there now and the service was beyond what I expected. I will always be back! If your looking for amazing eye care and fantastic customer service this is the place to be!

Dr. Okamoto always makes me feel comfortable and explains everything in laymans terms so that I can understand how my disease is affecting my eyesight. I love having Victoria assist me with my in office visit. So sweet and professional and she made me feel at home. Very nice, clean, chic atmosphere and very professional. Been with them almost 10 years and will continue for many more.

This was my first time getting glasses and I hadnt gone to an eye doctor in 10+ years. The staff are all so knowledgeable and kind! Everyone there strove to make sure I had the best eye care, the glasses I wanted and they always let me know what was and wasnt covered by my insurance so there were no surprise charges. I would recommend them to anyone! You wont be disappointed.
