Because of this company and their employees of pure blind incompetent care, I ended up in the hospital a 4 day say being stabilized before emergency surgery when all they had to do was read lab work. Lab work that one of there nurse assistants looked me in the eye afterwards last week and said they were normal. Not realizing Id be getting the results through quest imaging. I have had the worst experience with this plan, do not go to the clinic on 3000 L street in sacromento! Do not let godwin okungbowa lay a finger on you let alone anything else. And do not use the patient portal through this or sac clinics, its used against you, they arent able to read an entire message and will treat you like dirt if any complaints are made. I was scheduled an appointment after begging for help after surgery through the portal because no one would fit me in for a follow up, when I got the call to fit me in I thought great someone actually cares. Wrong! All he did was yell at me, the guy is nuts he works for dr. Forde and its also billed out as if youve magically seen dr. Forde all a giant scam. Something is very wrong with this guy, he even told me let this be a lesson I did what I do. So I deserved what I got, because he acted like a child over a message he was unable to understand its all he talked about my message. Did not ask if I was ok, if I needed anything, wouldnt look at the hospital findings, and over 3 times asked what I was there for. Unbelievable experience the nurse was horrible tòo, I swear those employees there knew what I was scheduled for and it was not health care! He also thinks this plan is called greenhaven and laughed at me for not knowing this. Green haven is the address, told me to call greenhaven for my referrals. The manager was the one to fill me into the schedule, why would a human treat people this way? Shame on this place, services and care. Ill be making some calls also, too bad I cant afford an attorney. I recorded the appointment because I have a hard time remembering and understanding this guy. It was almost as if he wanted to get a rise out of my husband and I but it didnt work, bizarre. Stay away! River city medical shame on you for allowing this! A man falsifying a patients lab findings all because he didnt want to take any responsibility for have spent 2 days getting my heart stabilized before emergency surgery. Nice guy.

i want to start out by stating that i would give River City Medical Group a minus stars if it were possible. hen i first put my mother on river city it was because in the medical handbook they have river city /Anthem Blue Cross as having 3 stars across the board out of 4. especially when it comes to the elderly and people with breathing problems. it took no time at all for me to find out this was a lie. when i attempted to go on the medical web site and leave a truthful revie for anyone who might make the mistake of enrolling in river city for health care, the site would only allow me to leave a score of 3 stars or more. anything less it would give me an errore message so the web site is rigged. to make a long story short they refused any type of care for my elderly mother, no nebulizer, no pulmonologist,noe bi-pap even after several sleep studies and doctors requests even two requests from 2 different hospitals as a matter of life and death. i even took them to court and the judge found for my mother and they still denied these life saving appliances. bottom line is because they refused to help my mother she died. the hospital was able to revive her after many minutes of lack of oxygen and she has been in a coma ever since and the doctors are giving us no hope. I pray that my mothers life was not in vain and people see this post and DO Not Please Do not put your trust and the life of you or your loved one in river city or health net blue cross hands they will let you die,with no hesitation. Worst Worst WORST incompetence EVER!!! I have 2 torn tendons and a torn labrum in my shoulder. I only got an MRI after vising my office 4 times, the referrals office three times and filing a complaint AND a grievance through Blue Cross. Now I have an MRI and PROOF that my pain and injuries are real. I went into the office yesterday and handed them my MRI results. I was told the doctor would look at it today. I went over today and was told, "I dont know who told you that would happen, your doctor isnt in until next Tuesday (that is 5 days from now!) I am in so much pain that I wake up several times per night. I had to get a referral to "pain management" through their office. It was denied because the referrals office never received my medical records that I submitted 4 TIMES (once by FAX and 3 times I handed it to the desk person and WATCHED them make copies of it.) I have had to drive from the office on How ave. to the referrals office on Sunrise now 3 times. I fear this will not get handled at any point in the near future. I am furious by their treatment of me and saddened that they probably treat people like this who dont have the time, means, or energy to drive the 30 miles back and forth between offices. Oh, and BTW the only positive reviews of this office that I can find are from people who are in business/cahoots with these people. FRUS-TRAT-ED!

In February River City took over as IPA for my insurance and it has been a nightmare ever since. I have severe endometriosis and am in need of surgery to extract the endo implants, remove adhesions that are gluing my insides together, and possibly a full hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. My gynecologist referred me to an oncology gynecologist, which River City denied. I was then told they had authorization to send me to UC Davis instead, but then River City denied that as well. They authorized to send me to a specialist in Roseville....an ABORTION specialist contracted with Planned Parenthood. That they are too stupid to know the difference between a hysterectomy and an abortion is horrifying and this is completely unacceptable. So now I have to wait for the referral to be bounced back to the insurance AGAIN in hopes that theyll get it right. Im already being treated by a board certified OB/GYN...why they thought to send me to a lower level clinic in place of a surgeon at an actual hospital is beyond me! As soon as I get this issue resolved Im finding another medical group.

My name is Thao. I head patient referral coordination at the office of Dung Cao, MD in South Sacramento. In the past couple of years, I have seen and greatly appreciated the efforts River City Medical Group (RCMG) has put into making the referrals process as painless as possible by using an online portal system for authorization requests. I am particularly pleased with the customer service regarding help tickets. In the past, I would need to call in if I had an issue with a referral, but now I can just submit my problem online and it will be resolved in 1-3 business days. This greatly saves my time and ultimately shortens the time delay in patient care. In other areas of healthcare, RCMG has been diligent about keeping good communication with our office. RCMG representatives come to our office on a monthly basis to furnish us with reports of our patients and advice on how we can better serve them. I would like thank RCMG in general for its continued efforts in making the important duty of patient care easier and specifically Jose, Paul, and Tiffany for their direct assistance.
