Children deserve better service. The customer service here/ environment really needs improvement. It feels uncomfortable being in this office. The people at the front desk are not very friendly, not helpful and they seem unhappy to be there. They also seem rushed when they saw my child. I had two appointments where they turned me away because of "lack of insurance coverages". I was confused because right before I made the appointment I spoke to my sons insurance who said that he was assigned to a doctor at THAT office. The office personnel could simply not make the call to verify. When I asked them why they said that "it was not their job" they only look it up in the computer system which was not updated. They also said that "they did not want to stay on hold for two hours" to verify the insurance if they were to call. They told me that my sons insurance "was awful to work with". Unfortuneately it is the insurance I have and their medical group accepts that type of insurance so why could they not just be a little helpful or simply go a tad bit out of their way to make a simple phone call to verify for accuracy! My son has a bad dry cough which is concerning me because he is having trouble breathing. I did not expect the best. I only expected him to be seen and treated. I plan to never take him there again and am currently waiting at a different doctors office. I will also add that it is very hard to find parking there unless you want to pay like $20 to park in their garage for an hour or two or walk a couple of blocks. I also almost got a ticket which start at $68 a piece. Last thing I want to add is about the nurse there with short brown hair, older middle aged and wears glasses seems to stare you down and never smiles or greets you. My son and I were given poor service here.

I think Dr. Jeffrey Bourne is very nice and he is great with my baby. As for the office staff, I dont think they are so bad. Nurses in my opinion are all impersonal and most Santa Monica doctors fall behind schedule and have waits. I think Pediatrics is unpredictable and you have to understand that it is easy for the office to fall behind. They recently added a wellness waiting room which is great. I usually only wait about 10 minutes before I am taken into an exam room. I was running late for one appointment and I called to let them know, the receptionist told me no problem and thanked me for the call. I am a little surprised by the bad reviews I have read, I felt my office visits were typical and normal. Based on my 3 visits I would give them a good rating and would recommend Dr. Bourne to any new mother as he is very reassuring, answers all of my questions and he always seems to be in a great mood which is a bonus.

My 3 sons went to Dr. Bourne at Kiddox Medical Group for over 10 years and we really appreciated the care, patience and concern that he and the other Drs. and nurses in his office had for our children. Even though our kids were over 16 when we moved away, we would have kept going to that office until age 19, but we moved to other city 500 miles away.

The staff here always bends over backwards to help us. All of the doctors on staff are great. My son has some extreme medical issues and the staff here have been absolutely awesome at helping us navigate dozens of referrals and insurance problems. Weve been going here for years and always have a good experience.

My wife and I are both doctors and take both of our sons here. Love Dr Bourne and staff. They work together with us and take great care of our kids
