I spent almost two hours at the optometrists office today, trying to pick out glasses frames. Its very hard for me because Im so nearsighted. In addition to that, I have to have a minimum height on the frame because of my progressive bifocals, and am limited on the width of the frame because of my narrow face. The staff at Family Optometry Center in Santa Rosa were so patient with me. They didnt get annoyed that I took so long to decide or that I hemmed and hawed between getting one or two pairs (decided on one, it was just too expensive, despite the second-pair discount). If you need a good optometrist in Santa Rosa, go to Family Optometry Center on Farmers Lane.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ian Middleton for many, many years. He is the best. I have very sensitive eyes and it is difficult to get my RX correct. He always figures it out perfectly. He provides an extensive eye exam - not just cursory. One never feels rushed and he answers all questions and concerns. The staff is just as competent and his fairly new male assistant provides humor, knowledge and caring. I dread the day when Dr. Middleton retires. We have "grown old together". The staff is friendly and welcoming, the office is a pleasure to visit, and Dr. Ian Middleton is thorough, friendly, and knowlegeable. He has answered all my questions and been very accomodating about explaining the tests and having me see the results. I highly recommend Family Optometry Center and will be continuing to see them for my vision needs in the future.

I took my little granddaughter (age 10) to the office for an appt. I cannot recommend this office more. The exam was thorough. The staff and the doctor were wonderful. In particular Barbaras help in choosing her first pair of glasses was outstanding. She was thoughtful and considerate and helped Emma find exactly what she wanted. A tall order in working with a child. Thanks you Family Optometry.

Had a 4:15 appt and a 4:45 appt for me and my bf, we were running late because we live an hour away from Santa Rosa. We called at 415 saying we would be 15 min late because of traffic. They were really kind thankfully they didnt cancel my appt. Had the best experience there. Rick was an amazing help during our exams. Made us feel welcomed and at home. Will definitely be going there again.
