Ive been acutely nearsighted since early childhood . I had 2 RK procedures with varieties of contact lens and eyeglass combinations that never worked very well. Dr. Geissler is the first opthamologist, out of many, who produced a great outcome for my vision. I didnt have cataracts and was dubious about Clear Lens Extraction; he convinced me to try. I can now see medium-near and far without glasses or contacts. Its quite miraculous. My right eye had been particularly compromised, but Dr. Geissler demonstrated total technical mastery in the procedure. I cant thank him enough. Special thanks to Kevin, his great, primary RN; Glenn, the super nurse anesthetist; Janna, the med assistant; and Sharon, the surgery center receptionist. I worked in healthcare, and am genuinely impressed by their professionalism and their care for patients. Thank you, Dr. Geissler, Kevin, Glenn, Janna, and Sharon. Youre a top team.

Other than the address appearing wrong on GPS - suggest that gets updated. My overall experience was beyond exceptional. The staff was/is extremely professional and very helpful. Ive never really known the difference between an Optometrist vs an Opthamologist until my visit. From this point further, I will now make this my new place for eye exams. I was amazed at how thorough the exam was. Very impressive. Although a little sticker shocked at the price of my glasses - I am certain theyll be perfect. Unlike the other place we went to. There is definitely something to be said in regards to paying for a "professional" service vs a place who literally has no education involved in their service. I will definitely be back --- thank you

Having relocated from the Midwest, I needed a new eye care professional. My MD recommended Dr Geissler and his staff. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist, waited briefly, was invited inside and met Kevin, who conducted a very thorough eye exam. He discussed new technologies, assured I had the necessary information to decide my next steps and helped set my next appointment. The contact lens specialist is highly skilled, discussed options in more detail, and fit my lenses a week later. Eye MDs of Puget Sound is professional, highly skilled and delivered everything as promised. I highly recommend the Tacoma Office.

My first visit. Very nice people, very professional, very knowledgeable, I really like the way Dr Deem talks to me about what he sees while he examines my eyes. I came away with so much more information than previous eye doctors. Robin, the ophthalmic assistant is very nice, and obviously knowledgeable and efficient. The receptionist at the front desk was crabby, so I wondered for a few minutes if this office was for me... everyone else was wonderful, though, so I chose to ignore that... maybe she was just having a bad day.

Had an eye emergency come up...as always, it is never a good time for bad eye problems to arise. I had never been to this clinic before and I wasnt sure what to expect, but to my surprise, the staff here was excellent. Everybody was very professional, helpful, and caring. The front desk ladies even got us in on a 2 hours notice, even if we didnt have an appointment. If it wasnt for them, I am not sure what would have happened. I highly recommend this place to anybody with some type of eye problem.

I had a standard IOLwith Lensar almost two weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. I did not realize how bad my vision was until I got the new lens. I am seeing with so much more clarity and whites are now white instead of yellow. Dr. Geissler is so informative and answered all questions I had, putting me at ease. Kevin is also very knowledgeable and I feel like I have found a very good team. I go in for my second cataract surgery next Tuesday and am excited to have two working eyes.

This is a very large practice. Dr. Geissler is very competent. However, on my last visit I had to wait a very long time for the doctor to come into the room after the initial exam by the technician. The entire visit lasted almost two hours for the total of 20 minute exam time by the doctor and the technician. I also have had problems with the billing office each of the 3 times I have been to this office. They are not familiar with insurance issues. I am not sure I will return there.

I arrived at 1:28. Front desk person was very nice...I needed to update my information, which meant providing the exact same information that they already have... was a bit frustrating...she filled out the insurance portion, which was nice, but the only changes...seems somehow the only need would be for any changes... I waited about 25 minutes prior to being invited to an exam room. The tech was very kind also. Clark, as always, was a perfect gentleman... I exited the office at 3:20

I am a patient of Dr. Geissler. I had cataract surgery on both of my eyes recently, and was very pleased with the outcome. He and the people in his office (Kevin, Janna, Jackie, and Glen) are so very friendly, and professional. They all made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. I hope I did not leave anyone out when naming these wonderful people. I would recommend Dr. Geissler and his staff to anyone seeking cataract surgery and/or annual eye exams. Thank you for your care.

Dr. Deem is really friendly and personable and it seems like he really knows his stuff. The office is clean and orderly. Very good experience. My only gripe is that they typically dont get you back to the room on time (Ive had to wait quite a bit of time past my appointment time)...and then once you get to the back room and the initial lady does the first part, ive had to wait up to 30-45 minutes for the doctor to get to me. Everything else is first rate though...I will return.

The quality of technical staff and the exam are tops. Ive been here before and will keep returning. It can take about two hours (1:45 for me) as they apparently allow a half-hour for updating paperwork, a half-hour for the technician, and a half-hour to wait and be seen by the doctor. But given the layers of bureaucratic requirements from the government and insurance providers, that just seems to be about par for the course anymore, so I cant fault Eye MDs for that.

Love the staff, everyone is professional and knowledgeable. One star off since they stopped writing contact lens prescriptions. Now I have to deal with two different places in order to get my contacts, and if I want to order them online I need a whole different prescription from somewhere else. This is inconvenient. Last year the MD tried hard to talk my daughter INTO wearing contacts, 6 months later hes trying hard to talk me OUT of them. Very weird.

The optomitrist (Kevin) that did the initial intake, screening, & eye chart stuff was helpful and professional. Dr. Geissler was pleasant and amiable and took time to tell me particular things about my eye health that nobodys bothered to tell me before. The Optical department was very pleasant, straightforward and helpful. I will definitely move my eye care to Eye MDs after my experience yesterday (visited May 5, 2015).

I went in for my annual eye exam and as always I was pleased with the professional and organized treatment that I received. Both Kevin and Dr. Geissler were very friendly and thorough in my eye examination. They answered all of my questions and I would highly recommend Eye MDs of Puget Sound for your eye care. Dr. Geissler took care of my cataracts and laser a year ago and my vision is the best it has ever been.
