My wife and I both needed check ups and knew that we needed new glasses. We had vision insurance which wasnt much company paid anyway. The receptionist let us know all the coverages that our insurance would handle a week in advance of us coming in for our appointment. Both my wife and I have used the discount vision stores in clinics previously, though we decided to try out a more reputable establishment. I have to say that we were not disappointed whatsoever! Everyone in the clinic was polite and courteous as was the eye doctor. We ended up with three sets of glasses and are very happy to have Bridgeport Vision Clinic as our go to for eyecare!

The doctor there Is amazing. The best eye exam that I have ever had. That being said, The ladies at the front are extremely rude. I have called a few times asking if my glasses have come in yet because it has been over 2 weeks now and i still dont have them. Each time I called I was given and attitude. the customer service is none existing. Also their lenses and frame are EXTREMELY over priced, between that and waiting 3 weeks to get my glasses. I will NEVER order glasses from them again. But I will go their to get an eye exam.

Ive come to this location every year since I was a child, when it was owned and run by Dr. Johnson. Ive had a +15 year history with this office. Although I think Dr. S is a fantastic optometrist, the front staff is short, rude and not helpful. Unfortunately I will no longer be supporting this small private business because of inability to correctly pronounce my name, sassy attitude from the front desk, and the inability of the staff to figure out how to run a valid insurance card.

I dont remember how to spell his name but Dr. S was wonderful and very patient with my daughter. She was very fidgety and made it close to impossible for him to get a good reading but he kept his composure and worked with my child. He even gave me a coupon for a free pair of glasses. So not only did my insurance pay for her glasses completely but they also gave me a free pair for her. ❤ they had toys to entertain my other two children as well. Very awesome experience.

I do not recommend coming here. This place is in network with my insurance and they said vsp wouldnt cover the glasses at all. I went somewhere else and they said it does cover.. not sure why I was lied to by the eye doctor himself. Update: I spoke with the office and they said the other clinic must have made a mistake, however the other clinic ended up writing it off so I got two glasses covered anyways.

My wife just came in for an eye exam. Apparently there are new doctors who dont charge the same co-pays. (increase of 200% without changing insurance) Which would not be a problem if these increases were not discussed until after the exam. Yes you read that right: the increases were not discussed until it was time to pay. There are many more professional and honest optometrists in the area. Do not go here.
