Caveat emptor!!! Where shall I start???Firstly they are very over priced, but I needed glasses and I had a living social deal. First pair of glasses were made wrong rx and the edges werent ground so they kept making a prism effect/glare. They did let me pick out another pair but the temples on the second pair are loose/coming apart and they still cost me over $240 bucks! They tried to give me an off market case and I insisted they give me the brand name case. They had to order one from "another" store. Seriously w.t.f? The free second pair is a joke and when I asked for a credit to get contacts they only wanted to give me $50 credit which was lame. I still havent been called that my free pair are ready for pick up. (So much for ready in an hour!!) The eye doctor I saw the first time refused to let me try colored contacts and the trial pair he did give me actually made my eye sight worse. He just handed me the contacts and said come back in a week. No explanation on how to put them in or even a case to store them in. I had to practically beg the sales clerk for a case even though they had a huge bowl of freebie cases sitting on the counter. The second doctor did fit me for a pair of contacts that were better. However I brought in trial certificates for like 3 brands that they had and he still refused to give me the free trial pairs. Thanks for the prescription but Ill get my contacts else where for a fraction of the cost. Also the doctor would let me take the trail pair of colored contacts home. (Um dont yo think I need to wear them to decide if I like the color??) Back to the defective pair of glasses. After about the 3rd visit they said they would order another pair as a replacement. However after a month of no contact from the store I call and am informed that the replacement pair were damaged in shipping and have now been discontinued. They did agree that I could come pick another pair of the same brand. ok.. I think to myself thats fair. When I went in there were no pairs that were of the same shape (you see I have a very odd shaped face so only certain shaped glasses look good on me). I spent about 2 hours trying on almost every brand of glasses and was about ready to cry. Finally I found a pair that looked good on my face and felt good too, however there was a price difference and they wanted me to pay $100 more. At this point I had been in at least 4 times. My parter had to take time off work each time to take me... and we were both frustrated at the loss of his wages and the frustration over this whole ordeal. Finally after I settled on the pair I liked a few days later the manager approved the frames and let me have those. I picked them up tonight and they were suitable, however again they didnt give me the right box. They gave me a different brand box. I know to most people this is a trivial thing but after all the time Ive spent in and out of the store Id like the correct box. At this point since I have my glasses I"ll settle with the wrong box. Caveat emptor You wont be getting anymore money for me....save yourself the headache and drive to the palo alto store...

Summary: Absolute worst. I recommend you stay away. 1st incident: making an appointment-the rep who answered the phone did not know how to use the computer system. She spent 5-10 mins giving me dates and times, and after confirming with her, she changed her mind and said she was mistaken. This happened three times. I got frustrated and hung up. Went online to their website and booked an appointment in under 2 mins. 2nd incident: During the appointment-the doctor was a young asian female who seemed new and inexperienced. Told me she needed to order "customized lenses" for me to try on before writing my prescription. Since I had an old pair of glasses that I am able to see out of, I agreed (stupidly) and paid the fees. *Doc said it would take 7-10 days to come in *Doc said I would receive a follow up call about when the lenses come in. *Ive never needed customized lenses, and ive never walked out of the appointment w/o a prescriptioon out of the 10 years ive been wearing contacts and glasses. 3rd incident: No follow up call. I ended up calling to check in after 10 days, they said they were still waiting on the lenses to come in. I also sent them my previous prescription (Doc asked for it-probably because she didnt know what she was doing) and they said they had no record of it 4th incident: After my patience ran out, I went back to the store on day 14 of no prescription, and wanted a refund. Lady at the desk said she would call the insurance to issue me the refund but it would have to be the following day because they were closed. I CALLED THE INSURANCE AS SOON AS I GOT HOME AND TOOK CARE OF IT MYSELF. The insurance rep on the phone said she couldnt give me the entire refund because the co-pay that i paid at the store went to them, not insurance. 5th incident: I called back the location and asked how to receive my refund. Rep (who i spoke to in the store) said "I didnt realize you paid a co-pay, but I can mail you the refund" I did not want to take anymore chances with these incompetent people so I went back to the store to get my money back. The copay was only $10 but I did not want to give that location any of my money. Havent experienced this horrible service in years!
