After the cataract surgery I was extremely upset with my poor vision as I am 5 months later. When I expressed that fact to the surgeon she obviously wasnt concerned. Compounding the issue she prescribed an incorrect replacement single lens for my glasses. Update on 10/21/16. Received call from Ms. Wilcox, Admin on 9/28/16 concerning my dissatisfaction with eye surgery results and review. Ms. Wilcox offered to have a refractory eye test completed at a different location. On 10/6/16 this was done at the Main St. location. The Optometrist was very helpful and detailed, he prescribed a new set of lenses for my glasses and fully covered the cost. I picked up my glasses on 10/21/16. Much better than before. Although I feel my vision was better without glasses before surgery than after surgery, my vision is now better with my new glasses than it was before. Vancouver Eye Care at least has stepped up and worked with me to correct a bad situation. Im increasing the star rating to 4 stars because of the service I received at the Main Street location. Thank you to Mr. Richard Deagan, Optometrist, and Ms. Pam Wilcox for making all of this a better experience.

I agree with the previous review, Vancouver Eye Care isnt a place I want to return. From the moment I walked in I got the feeling they dont appreciate their patients. They were busy so maybe thats a contributing factor but I was treated as customer #12489 and they were in a rush to get to #12490. Everything was going well but suddenly at the end of my business the woman helping me literally dismissed me with a wave of her hand and before I could say thank you I had disappeared and she couldnt see me anymore. So I said thank you anyway, she either didnt want to hear me or she ignored me; theres no way she genuinely didnt hear me. Busy is no reason to ignore people. I wasnt rude or complaining, if I was I might understand her reaction but it was totally uncalled for. First impression are important so Im not going back. Aside from that I was disappointed in their eyeglass and sunglass frame selection.

Just returned home from the clinic where I visited for an eve injury. The office front desk was informed of my arrival prior to my visit and was already prepared with my records. very efficiently flowed through my admittance details and no more then hit the chair in the waiting room was greeted by the Dr. that was to help me. with very little wasted time or effort and only a couple Qs she informed me as to the procedure she would do and prepped me and went to work. taking much care that I was comfortable and knew exactly every step along the way With perfect skill she did her job repaired my problem , informed me as to the after effects and sent me on my way back to the front desk where I set a follow up and was done. the whole experience was very good and if I was asked id refer them to every one I know Thanks to all the nice PPLZ at V.E.C.

For being a pediatric ophthalmologist, Dr. Kim does not seem to like children very much. My toddler had a couple of visits here and she could clearly pick up on the impatience of the staff, making the visit even more stressful than it needed to be. Although we were referred by our pediatrician, I was treated as though I was being paranoid for thinking there was a problem with my childs eye at all. And yet, they keep having her come back every six months "to monitor and reassure" ...and bill, of course. Needless, to say, we are headed elsewhere for our eye care needs. I just wish I hadnt wasted the time and money by coming here first.

Very upset that they will not book more than 2 family member appointments in one day. That message comes across as they are more concerned with how much money they will bill instead of their patients schedules. A parent taking off time from work to take their kids to the doctor and booking the appointments all at once would be a huge convenience to the patients. That is not the case with Vancouver Eye Care. We will not do business with them nor will we recommend anyone to them.

Like in any Burger King you may find very nice people, with the smile and the attention to make you feel like a CUSTOMER. But in general this place is really jsut the fast-food of the ophtalmology. They try to make 20 diagnostic per day maybe, they almost forget what you coming for. Really not a plaisant place. I dont recommand.

Very disappointed with the way our 91 year old mother was treated. Like the doctor had other places to be and couldnt be bothered. He told her there was no cure and nothing she could do for her pain and as for treatment he told her they could sew her eye shut of take it out and replace it with a glass one. She was terrified.

One of the WORST clinics EVER. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. at this location was rude. I waited for an hour after my appointment time in the lobby. Then another 35 minutes in the examining room. The doctor pretty much said "I have no idea what is wrong with your eye". Not even worthy of one star... but you need one to post.

Took my 4 year old here for Amblyopia screening (medical condition), per Pediatrician referral. However, they billed as vision testing. Denied by insurance. Now Im faced with huge bill. Doctor was thorough and friendly, but dont agree with these billing practices.

Rude staff and the people who help fit the frames were even more rude then the front staff. Telling my child to hurry up and pick out your frams. We were looking at frams for less that 5 min when we were told this. No problems with the doc.
