I am very disappointed with this place!! I thought that because of the name of the clinic that I was going to get the best health care for my dog and it was fine while I was just getting shots when my dog was very little but when it came down to getting real treatment they really let me down!!! I paid close to $168 dollars for just a rash that my dog had, well, the rash didnt go after the medication that they gave me for my dog so I called them back a week later to tell them that the treatment didnt work and that my dog still had the rash, the lady in the phone said that I needed to bring my dog back in but I was going to have to start over and pay again for the Vet. visit and new medication all over again so i emailed the doctor the same day after I got off the phone and never got a reply!! So Im left with the feeling that they really do not care about my Pet because its all about money. I called back today to ask who the person in charge is and what did I get?? Not a whole lot just a name of a female who works there the lady on the phone did not specify who the female was or what her job at the clinic is!! and before I got to ask I was quickly transferred to the ladys voice mail . Sorry to say that I will never go back or let alone refer anyone to a place like this one. I got an appointment at a new place that has five stars and its way cheaper then this one!! Pet owners please do your research before you take your pet to any Vet.

Visiting an animal shelter tends to be a very emotional experience for most kind-hearted folk. It can be very tough to see so many precious, unwanted animals all at once, and the atmosphere they are in does a lot to contribute to ones emotions while one is visiting. For this reason, The Humane Society animal shelter on HWY 12 deserves praise as standing well above the average in terms of the dwellings provided for the animals they have rescued. Instead of being crammed into cages, the dogs, cats and rabbits are each in small rooms with beds, food bowls and toys. The visitor is allowed to go into the rooms of animals that are ready for adoption to play with the animals and get to know them. The dogs looked a bit lonesome, understandably, but the cats were curled up in happy comfort. The rabbits have little hutches and seem fairly happy. The overall building is bright and clean and there is a nice dog run outside. If youre thinking of getting a pet, I believe you will find this shelter the least depressing to visit because so much attention has been given to the comfort of the animals while they are waiting to be re-homed. This shelter is a far cry from many I have seen and you will walk out of the building feeling positive instead of crying!

hey everyone, i am tonishia. and i currently volunteering at Humane Society on hwy 12. i work in hospital. i am eighteen years old but started my volunteering at age seventeen. there is many pets suffering but survived because of everyones supports on donations and volunteering. and now, there is many dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, bunnies, hamsters, available now and then. WE DO CARES ABOUT THEM! and i do lots of things. i eventually experienced my own abusive and i want to be a Animal Cop just to help animals. there is also a GREAT experience at Forget Me Not Farm just back of this humane society. this Farm was Handled by Great Gentleman named Nate! there is one big Horse, two goats, a cow, two pigs, chickens, three small horses, three llamas. Why, Thanks to people who donated. We also have Volunteer Program for kids from different Group Homes. and we have Mentoring Program too. We too have fostering pets so... we could use more foster parents. and there is lots of cute pets up for adoptions. it would be helpful if u come and see animals, they are longing for forever home with lots of love. thx, Tonishia from Group Home. PS... I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

Please do NOT donate money to The Sonoma Humane Society. I found a German Shepherd dog in Roseland near the facility and they would not take the dog. I had to go to Sonoma County Animal Shelter by the Airport. Considering how much $ they must of spent on the facility I was blown away that I was turned away. I was very disappointed I was turned away. Please donate to the Sonoma County Animal Shelter since they do not turn away dogs and dont have the funding. I thought the Humane Society was great until I found the dog and went to them for help. FYI they said it was because of where Roseland is located. This neighbourhood is less then 2 miles from the Humane Society facility. Please consider ; they might be no kill but when they turn animals away it could be killed at another shelter. FYI - I could not keep the dog and post flyers because I already have 2 German Shepherd dogs. After I took the dog to the county I called GSD Rescue and informed them I had delivered the dog to the county. I do not like it when non profits have fancy facility when that money could of helped more animals. Wrong focus

A clean well-lighted facility that is comfortable for visitors. Staff and volunteers are friendly, approachable, and very enthusiastic about their mission to help the animals. The Humane Society offers many services and programs - check out their website for an overview. The adoptable animals are socialized, and every effort is made to make a great match for each person looking to adopt. Be sure to check their hours, so you are not disappointed if the adoption center is not open. Then come and be prepared to give you heart away.

Really beautiful facility with high ceilings and nice enclosures for the animals. You can go in and visit with the cats or, if youre hoping to adopt, fill out some paperwork and then visit with a dog outside. They also have small animals to adopt, including rabbits, rats, and guinea pigs. Volunteers can also be seen floating around visiting with cats in the enclosures or outside walking dogs.

Very nice facility for both humans and animals. Staff is helpful and friendly although you can tell they have a lot on their plate. This shelter never euthanizes animals for space reasons, has a ton of volunteers, and many things to offer. I love the fact that they have their own animal supply store. Great place to adopt- all animals are well socialized and well taken care of.

Great experience!! We were well screened to make sure that we were a good match for our dog Yari. Took a obedience class from a highly qualified trainer and learned a lot. Borrowed a book and a crate and called several times for advise. Used the free coupon for an hour 1 on 1 training. Cant say enough good things about the HS.

This organization is doing genuine good where others are much less caring. People must understand that as a no kill shelter, along with the numerous other services provided for these animals, there are costs that must be addressed. Support this facility.

Great vet hospital. All the staff is very friendly. The vet took the time to listen to me and explain everything that was going on. Our dog got his neuter here and even so I dont think he minds going back.
