We live in Sausalito and bring both our dog and cat here. Our dog has a long medical history and we moved from across the country, Dr. Dieter took the time to go through our dogs entire folder, like 4 inches of paper, just to bring himself up to speed on his own time. They have provided excellent care for both, doing their best to make the animals feel calm and at ease when being examined. Dr. Dieter himself has a refreshingly frank style of discussing your pets health with you. They have also provided top notch ongoing care to our cat, who loves to get in fights on an almost weekly basis. Having been to several other vets, as well as 2 chapters of the SPCA in different states, their rates are also quite reasonable. They are also exceptionally accommodating of emergency situations. I highly recommend this vet to anyone looking for dedicated personalized care for their pets.

Dr Dieter and his technician are the Best in Marin. They love animals and you see it in their care. They examine and treat your animal with you in the room. There isnt anything done behind closed doors. Dr Dieter calls you to check up on your animal. Something that is almost unheard of these days. His years of experience and feel for animals makes him a top notch veternarian. On my dogs initial visit he knew my dog was nervous and got down on the floor to examine her. That shows the kind of love and intuitive knowledge this man has for animals. Everyone that I have recommended the Sausalito Animal Hospital to, are so happy and have such high regard for this Doctor and his nurse.

My dog and I have been bouncing around Vets for years. Not that we were unhappy with any of them, however my friend told me I had to check out Sausalito Animal Hospital. When we walked in my dog was excited to be there. Its open and brightly lit and just has a good vibe. Usually she goes into full freakout mode but here she was fine. Doctor Ray saw her right away and fixed her problem (a split nail) quickly and easily. The bill was really responsible. This is definitely the only place Im taking my dog from now on.
