Dr. Ana Apostle is the greatest veterinarian I have ever met. I had been going to an older San Rafael vet for years but as time went on and my animals didnt seem to be getting any better I knew it was time to go elsewhere. I decided on East San Rafael Veterinary because they were voted "Best of Marin." I was set up with Dr. Apostle and I thank the gods we found her. My cat had been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease at the "old" vet. No... It turns out he has stage 3 kidney disease. Renal failure. I cannot believe he was misdiagnosed and with something so extreme! Its great with Ana- she treats me as her equal, takes the time to ask and answer all the right questions, and provides all the options available for treatment. I have a cat with renal failure, an 18 year old cat, and a fussy chiweenie. Ana is the only veterinarian I trust with them and shell be having life-long clientele with any other pet that comes in to my care.

Ive taken two of my dogs there and seen both ends of the spectrum: compassion when treating and eventually euthanizing my first one and excitement when performing a wellness check with my new puppy. When planning to say goodbye to our last dog, they were patient and understanding while we decided, and NEVER came across as cold or impatient. In fact, I could see the doctors eyes swell with tears as my wife and I cried while we put him down. While treating our new puppy Dr Evans is absolutely fantastic with him. The best way to describe it is that its like hes treating his own pet - how can you ask for more? I wish family doctors had that type of communication skills. I get appointments relatively promptly and have not had to wait long when arriving. My only suggestion for improvement is the clinic doesnt feel or smell as clean as other vets Ive used, but in no way will that deter me from staying with them.

I have been taking my animals (birds, cats and dogs) to Jerry Moore since 1988. He, and the vets and staff that work with him, have been wonderful to me and my family. His genuine interest and love for animals shone through every encounter. His ability to put my animals at ease and accurately diagnose and treat my them has always impressed me. His compassionate care for my aging animal family has helped me and my daughter get through some difficult times - we recently lost our fifteen year old dog to cancer. Thanks to Jerry, we were able to keep her at home and pamper and love her through her last days without pain or fear. We are very grateful for the excellent care and wisdom he has provided over the years.

4/11/12 WOW!!!! in every positive way, WOW!!! The reception, personable and professional. Dr. Estheimer is amazing! Patient with his attention and time spent on an appt.; informative, straight up and honest on necessary or unecessary prodeedures and medication, obviously well experienced and knowledgeable, and so very, very sweet, loving and sensative with his patients. I have had many different vet.s over the yrs. with my dogs and never, ever has one of them sat down, cross legged on the floor with them to cuddle them, play with them AND to let them kiss him all over his face! If you are looking for a vet., as far as I am concerned, this is your guy! He is a gem!

Bill Estheimer is a magician with animals. Our cat who never likes anyone loved him. When she came down with acute kidney failure, he was careful and generous with us and her. After she died, they even donated a small amount to support research into cat kidney disease. I couldnt imagine a better vet.

Dr. Bill is the greatest veterinarian I have ever met. He took care of my old dog like nobody else. He is taking care of puppies with love. He sits on the floor to see them. I really happy with everything in there. I really trust him to take of my dogs. He is amazing!!! Incredible! Fantastic!!!
