I am updating without removing my prior comment staff should be updated or made sure there supervised to where they dont get so relaxed or backed up that this happens again but please read our expieriance from the bad to the good and how quickly everything was resolved for our son....."my son is very sick has to be I. long term care when the nursing g home sent him to here for a infection and high fever they gave him surgery to put catheter in thru his stomach we found him grimising in pain pool of sweat blood stained sheets his air mattress was off for just having surgery they really dropped the ball they should be shut down u dont treat a sick animal like this more or less a sick human he went from ICU to another regular unit had surgery when they should have done surgery when in ICU he has a trach that cant be removed he can not speak for himself the care he has received should not make any parent worry about the staff more then his aliments that was a disgrace"....I wrote this review after we found my son this way I was upset as any parent would be. I would like to say that after speaking with nurse Erica and Dr. Toy all of our concerns were put at ease they place a nurse by sons door i still think some of the staff needs to be more on there game and be professional and cautious with patients and families ..but his Dr. Has had my son breathing off the respirator for 2 weeks now the longest he has ever gone . never being able to be weened longer than a day . pervious drs. Said he would never be able to get off the respirator . after going thru our concerns they were quickly resolved we left feeling confident in his care the remainder of his stay and he is now back at his nursing home at Baldwin park congate nursing home and I was bias because of there care bring so wonderful that when u have had the best u dont expect anything less. Thank you Nurse Erica and Dr. Toy for all your help and follow up with us .

La peor experiencia de mi vida :-( ahi nacio mi segundo hijo ..yege alas cinco de la mañana y arregle todo para recivir la epidural ..La enfermera me trato muy mal y en ningun momento trajo al anesteciologo me decia que me aguntara el dolor..ya que nacio mi bebe le pedi toallas femeninas y me las avento de muy mala manera en la cama Si volviera a tener un bebe preferiria tenerlo en la calle que ir a ese hospital Espero que nadie mas aya sufrido una experiencia como la mia por que fue muy muy feo

Hated this hospital! Horrible service! Staff if full of idiots! I had an emergency with my son and they were calling the same patients over and over but I wanted two hours there for nothing! They didnt even check the actual cause of us being there! The lady at the front desk was having me sign papers when the nurse calls me in, they both expected me to do when they wanted, how the hell can I satisfy both their requests at once! They couldnt wait. The mail nurse was rude, not helpful a all. Then the X-ray technician was an idiot who couldnt do his job, I told him I went there on my own and he didnt want to do his job kept asking me to get my husband, grandma, grandpa to hold the baby instead of taking the dam xray! Does he think I have time to pick up the whole family in a dam emergency?! Worse hospital Ive been to! Avoid it.

Very bad staff at the emergency wait and other patients where and able to have a visitor with my aunt was taken by ambulance after X-rays where done she still was in the hallway with the paramedics Instead of putting her a chair when you ask the receptionist they just tell you its 20 minutes but this was after an hour and they still wouldnt let me see my aunt after three hours I finally had the head nurse came out to speak to me and I explained to her I understand the situation but they couldve put her on the chair so I can be with her and all outlet to the emergency room are cover over so that no one can use it so if we need to call someone we there should be a sign explaining the rules and someone should inform the family of the situation

Worst place ever .first the staff are terrible they have a bad attitude and dont care about our eergency needs. Took my mom we filled out papers..then she was dying and they said wait we waited 40+minutes and my mom was getting worst so we left to another hospital.. nobody ever bother calling or asking how was my mom doing. But few weeks later we get a bill for 500$ saying we owe them 500 for a er visit.. WTF . No recomiendo este lugar los empleados son codos y no tienen educasion. Mejor vaigan a otro hospital. Totally not recomend this place

Brought my Mother-in-law here because she wasnt feeling well. They took her in after they saw she was shaking and almost passed out. She is 85. We have been waiting for more than 5 hrs for any test results, still nothing. This is the worst hospital ever!!! The waiting room is a mess . A little child with disabilities is complaining about a headache he also has been sitting here for 5 hrs waiting on a head Ct scan. I recommend if you can go to another Hospital or go to the County, if you want to live. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

First Time Coming Here && Worst Experience Ever .... ER Nurses Had An Attitude The Whole Time .. Seemed Like They Didnt Know What They Were Doing Treated My Sister Badly... They Just Did Vitals No Other Type Of Treatment.. && Let Her Go Just Like That Not Giving Any Type Of Explanation && Giving Us Another Patients Paper Work .. Been To Other Hospitals && Done Internships As Well && Honestly Students Do A Better Job!!!! ER Nurses && Dr Need To Get There Things Straight!!!!

Is the worst QE could I spend in this hospital a nurse told me qe if I wanted a drug to QE could domr and rest for that day no longer would I do caesarean qe until another day and I said qe if but never eya told me qe I put anesthesia my baby under his heartbeat at 60 when he was qe beats 120 or more and eya told Dr. qe he had asked and Dr. gritoneandome qe if I could not stand the pain to go begging that and did not believe me qe I did not ask God

The people in Greater El Monte Community Hospital are friendly and professional. This is not a monster hospital. The staff knows the doctors and also the patients operation. The charge nurse Julie attended to my needs directly and was visible and available during my stay. My thanks to her and to Patty, Carol, Emma, Jun, the operating room people, and all the staff who made this hospital visit so pleasant. The hospital also monitors noise levels and honors quiet time.
