My doctor there, Doctor Elvira Lindwall, is outstanding and caring. I followed her there from another office. However, Dr. Cohens staff are inefficient, negligent and dishonest. Twice I had a large, expensive quantity of medicine shipped there due to special handling needs. The first time they claimed it never arrived until I came in their office cornering them with a tracking number and staff member signature. When they finally found where my prescription was in their office, my paperwork was missing and some of the accompanying supplies. The second time I was extra careful to let them know ahead of time exactly when the medications were coming. I called the day before the delivery date to remind the staff, I called twice on the delivery date, twice the day after, and then came into the office the next day. Each time I was told that the medication had not arrived. While still in the office I called the company that shipped the medication and was informed that it had been delivered, as promised the first day, at 9:47 am, signed for by one of the office staff, with the matching tracking number. They continued to claim that the medication ever came. After waiting over an hour while several different staff members told me they were "putting it together" I was handed a bag. When the opened package was given to me with a packing slip for my 3 boxes (standard 3 month supply) of 2 syringes of medication, I was handed 1 box and 1 syringe. Half the medication was missing. The office manager claimed that ONLY 3 syringes came and that was all I was going to get. Again I called the dispensing company. They again confirmed that they sent 3 unopened boxes of 2 syringes. They also confirmed that they do not send opened boxes or loose syringes of medication. The office manager then told me there wasnt any more than that, but there was a locked refrigerator in the back that a former employee had the key to so she couldnt look for the remaining medication there. (this made no sense but she was sticking to her story). The only way I got her to agree to get my remaining prescription was informing her of my intent to file a police report for lost/stolen prescription medication, that was identifiable by lot number. The medication: Humira, at a cost of over $1500-$2000 per syringe. Thats a very big incentive for dishonesty. I have no idea if Dr Cohen is aware of whats going on in his office. Outcome still pending.

I normally like Dr. Cohen, however my latest experience is causing me to rethink physicians. As an employee at the local hospital, I tend to understand that things come up, emergencies etc... I had an appointment on a Tuesday. ! week prior to my appointment I called for a prescription for lab work so he would know where my levels were when I came in. The Monday before my appointment his staff called asking to reschedule because of an emergency. I agreed and they put me in for 415 the following day. I was called at 3:30 to see if I could come in earlier as they had a cancellation. I told them I would try. I arrived at 4:10, was taken to a room within 5 minutes where I was completely forgotten. I had told the office that I had somewhere to be at 5:15 when they called to reschedule. I had allowed for extra time for my scheduled appointment but as a single mom, I have other things on my plate and cant just sit around. They had told me it wouldnt be a problem. At 4:48, a medical assistant came in to ask me a couple of questions and I reminded her that I had to leave. She said doctor was on his way in. At 5:00pm I walked out and told the staff to have him call me when he was available. I have referred many patients to this office, because of the care I received a year ago. Now, I dont think I will refer anyone until Dr. makes good on this. It is appalling to leave someone for 50 minutes in a room, especially when that person is unable to sit for long periods of time. No other specialist in the Conejo Valley has ever done that to me. Not my orthopedic doctor, not my Gyno, none of them. This is just plain rude and maybe his staff should stop scheduling every fifteen minutes if he isnt going to see them in a timely manner. I better not get a bill for a physicians visit. And yes, still no call back with an apology from Dr. Cohen. Very disappointed.

I had frequent appointments with top-rated doctors, but none were able to figure out my "mystery symptoms." My past doctors kept referring me to different specialists. In August 2016 I made an appointment to see Dr. Shariar Cohen-Gadol & I also got to meet Dr. Aelita Kachatarian. Both doctors took their time hearing about my struggles from childhood to fully understand my symptoms. Theyre helping me find the safest & best course of treatment. Dr. Cohen & Dr. Kachatarian were the first physicians I found that actually believed & understood my unique symptoms. These 2 Angels pieced together all the test results & symptoms & helped guide me to the clarity that I had been seeking most of my life. I sincerely believe that I am so blessed to have found Dr. Shariar Cohen-Gadol & Dr. Aelita Kachatarian. I was also pleased with the staff at The Cohen Center. My nurse at the Infusion Center was Kathy. She was very patient, kind & so gentle. I arrived to my appointment in with horrific pain. Asal the receptionist went out of her way to help put me at ease. She was genuinely nice & attentive. Ellie was my ultra sound tech. She stayed late just to complete my ultra sound orders. I appreciate all that the Cohen Center stands for. As someone who has seen dozens of highly acclaimed physicians all over the country, I genuinely believe that Dr. Cohen & Dr. Kachatarian are the best doctors that I have encountered. Rest assured youll be in great hands.

I divorced my last Rheumatologist because his staff was ridiculously rude and had not a single compassionate bone in their body... not one! I met with Dr. Tony Makhlouf within a week of calling and I was VERY impressed and couldnt be happier finding a doctor like him on a natch. Although I am adjusting to the thorough raw honesty of his addressing my denial of one of my dxs (professionally and compassionately I must add)!!!! From the first phone call, I adored the front office staff (whoever said they were incompetent in a previous review I find that extremely hard to believe.) Thank you Dr. Makhlouf and loved, loved, loved the two girls up front and the gentleman, I believe his name is Mike Rajaee (Business Manager.) They were awesome!!! An update after going in for an ultrasound by Michael Jablon I have to say I am convinced I am with the right people. So many times you discuss pain and you are told Thats Fibromyalgia (end of story... no further testing) but it was discovered after the first visit when the Dr ordered an ultrasound that I have Impingement Syndrome in my shoulders at it wasnt Fibro pain and it wasnt Connective Tissue Disease Pain. I am so pleased that I found somewhere that you are a voice in your treatment, you are heard and not just dismissed. The warmest experience in treatment I have ever received. Thank you and God bless!
