I did not have a pleasant experience with Alameda Dental. I recently moved from California to Colorado and went to Alameda Dental for a cleaning. The Dental assistant who cleaned my teeth was new to the team and kept apologizing for fumbling with the equipment and kept messing up my x-rays. She asked me questions while my mouth was full and made little comments here and there about how my teeth didnt look good while she was cleaning them. When Dr. Khmil came in, she said that I have 6 cavities that need to be taken care of. My last dentist, whom Id been going to for years and had just visited 6 months ago for a different cleaning, said at my last cleaning that I have a few problem areas but nothing that needed to be fixed right away. To go from that assessment to Dr. Khmils assessment that I have 6 cavities that need to be worked on right away just 6 months later seemed a bit extreme to me. When I expressed concern about this assessment, Dr. Khmil seemed annoyed with my concern and said that my previous Doctor probably didnt have the right equipment to make an accurate diagnosis. I left the office that day with a gut feeling that something was wrong here. I asked them to send my x-rays to my previous doctor for a second opinion and even made a stop by Dr. Khmils office later that week to sign a release form so that they could send him my x-rays. Id called my previous doctor before that and asked if it was ok to get a second opinion and to have them send the x-rays and he gave me his email address and phone number so that they could send that information. Flash forward a month later and I get a call from my previous dentist that they didnt receive the x-rays. I call Dr. Khmils office that afternoon and ask if theyve sent them over and the receptionist said she spoke over the phone with my previous doctor said that he told her he didnt want to see my x-rays so the receptionist never sent them my x-rays. That didnt sit right with me since my previous dentist had just called and was wondering where they were. I then asked the receptionist at Dr. Khmils office if she could send my x-rays over via the email my previous doctor gave them any way and move my appointment to a later date until this is all sorted out. I told her that I didnt feel comfortable going forward with the procedure until Id gotten a second opinion from my previous doctor. The receptionist said that they wont send them over and asked if I wanted to cancel my appointment instead of rescheduling. I then canceled my appointment. Since my insurance covers a second dental assessment for the year, I will be seeing a new doctor for a second opinion. Regardless of the outcome of the second assessment, Im glad that I wont be going to Alameda Dental for any future cleanings or procedures.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Khmil’s office to anyone who is needing any dental work done. Over the last couple of months, I have had multiple visits with Dr. Khmil for some very extensive dental work and cannot say enough good things about them. I had previously had some horrible experiences with other dentists which left me absolutely petrified to go to any dentist at all. Dr. Khmil and her wonderful assistants (especially Michael) really helped to alleviate my fears with making sure that I was VERY comfortable all of the time and provided excellent pain control. They took the time to explain everything to me, and made sure that I was OK. The office is very pleasant, neat, and clean. Another great benefit is they also offer evening appointments a couple days a week which is really nice not to have to take extra time off of work. They’re also EXCELLENT with kids, and did a great job with my son. We definitely won’t be seeing any other dentists. Great job Dr. Khmil and team!!

I used to dread going to the dentist, but the friendly and professional staff here really know how to make someone comfortable with one of the most uncomfortable ordeals we all must go through. My teeth are pretty wrecked, and they do such a good job at literally anything they do, from numbing gel to numbing needle to procedure. I cant even begin to describe the skill the dentist has. Larisa is absolutely​ the BEST dentist Ive ever encountered (remember the teeth thing aforementioned) Ive had extractions, cavities filled, and general cleaning without one complaint. These people CARE about their patients​ and show it. At the end of an extraction, my sugar dropped extremely low (type 1 diabetic) and they grabbed my sugar meter from my car, got me a drink, and made sure I saw fine before I even thought about leaving. GREAT AND SKILLED PEOPLE HERE. TL;DR: Top notch dentist, great staff, quite an experience. Thank you Larisa and everybody at Alameda Dental.

Anxiety & embarrassment kept me from seeing a dentist for the last few years, which only made my dental problems worse. Im so thankful to have found Dr. Khmil & her staff. They made me feel comfortable, kept me informed about procedures & made the entire process easier than Id expected. I wouldnt normally associate the words "kind" & "gentle" with a dentist, but she absolutely is. I cant say enough good things about Michael (I believe hes a tech, unsure his actual title). I was extremely nervous my 1st appointment, but Michael made me feel like I was talking to a friend. He took his time to explain everything he was doing & why. The results of my procedures so far have exceeded my expectations. Ive already been recommending Alameda Dental & will definitely continue to do so.

Simply Amazing!!! Ill admit I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to going to the dentist and finding a new dentist after moving to Aurora from Florida was stressful. I cannot tell you how pleased I was with the entire staff at Alameda Dental. I came in with a loose crown that needed immediate attention, and that is just what I got. I was very impressed with the use of the latest technology in combination with a warm bedside manner. As it turned out I needed to have oral surgery which they arranged for me in just a couple of days at their local office with an oral surgeon that is the best I have ever had. I am SO HAPPY, I am recommending Alameda Dental to all of my family and friends. PS... I found their fees to be quite reasonable as well.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a wonderful cosmetic procedure with Dr. Larisa Khmil. I was seen for lip fillers for both my upper and lower lips. I was greeted with professionalism and a very entheusitastic, caring attitude. This is essential when catering to patients that tend to be rather self conscious, and are experiencing a somewhat life changing procedure for the first time. While this was my first time being seen for this procedure, I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Khmil and the entire staff of Alameda Dental for any dental or cosmetic need they might have. I will be returing soon for further treatment!

I had a wonderful experience at this office. I moved to the area recently and needed to find a new dentist. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the office and although it looks small from the outside it feels big, clean and nicely designed inside. I was greeted immediately and I didnt wait long for my appointment to start. The dental assistant and the doctor were very nice and explained the process as we went. I am usually a very nervous patient but they were professional and super fast! I already made my next appointment and for once, I am actually looking forward to going to the dentist again!
