I went into this comfort dental with a cavity I was wanting to fill that has been causing me some pain for awhile. Ive always had to deal with sensitivity after braces and I obviously know the difference. I went in, was saw at a decent time but when I went back to sit on the chair, the entire staff was going crazy with screaming children, children running around and no one was being gentle. I understand the kids are screaming because its the dentist. I had a Russian lady do my x-rays and she was gentle...to a point and then Dr.Liu came in. I wasnt even able to talk and explain the cavity situation, he insisted we do a root canal because I had an abscess tooth in the front of my mouth...I would have felt that pain. I couldnt believe what I was hearing, I couldnt believe that I was shushed in a horrible manner, I couldnt believe what he was saying to me. He told me doing my root canal would take all of my benefits which I found out was a lie and I freaked out. Today, I went to another comfort dental only to find out that my front teeth are fine, there is nothing there and I do have a cavity that needs to be filled. He checked my nerves with this cold test and yes, my nerves are still there...he flat out told me that this Dr. Had lied to me and a lot of dentists do that to people for money. He showed me what an abscess actually looked like and told me that my braces had an effect with what he thinks he could have seen but its not what he was telling me. Honestly, I wouldnt waste your time here or your money. Dr.Liu was very rude to me and lied to me thinking that I had to go through something that extreme for me when he only looked at my x-rays for literally 10seconds. Its not worth it and youre probably getting work done on your teeth that doesnt need to be done. If I went through with that, I could have sued him. I hope these people actually read this like ice been told and I hope they see how horrible this guy is.

Going to Comfort Dental on Quincy in Aurora almost cost me multiple teeth - literally. I almost want to sue for medical malpractice. I became concerned about problems and discharge from my front tooth. I went to Comfort Dental, had xrays, and the Dentist simply said he could keep his eye on it but since it wasnt causing much pain he wouldnt worry about it. I also had them fill a cavity they detected, and have only experienced constant pain since they filled it. I urged my wife to select a different dentist. My wife received numerous recommendations for a different dentist close by. She described the problem with the discharge from my front tooth and they were very concerned. I came to them for a second opinion and their xrays showed that same front tooth was rotting near the root (from a post put in years earlier). I had to have an operation to extract the tooth and the infection was quite severe and led to bone grafts. They were sincere that if Id waited much longer I might have lost my neighboring teeth as well. Comfort Dental almost cost me tremendously and I strongly urge anyone to avoid this place. My filling was not even done by the dentist, it was done by an english as a second language assistant. Even when I came back to the office to have it repaired due to an overbite it caused, the dentist still did not touch it but rather turned it over to the same assistant. I have since met a Dental Assistant who use to work here and she told me she quit because she was very uncomfortable with procedures she was asked to perform, which most Dentists would have done themselves instead of passing it off.

I called for an appointment yesterday and they scheduled me for today. When I scheduled my appointment, I told them I was on Medicaid (so it would seem Im not in great shape financially, right?). I got to the office 10 minutes early for my 11am appointment. I wasnt called back until 11:50 with no explanation or apology from any of the staff. There wasnt even a receptionist at the front desk for me to approach. After I was finally called back, I sat in the chair for 15 minutes before the dentist even acknowledged me (though I could hear them talking about me - "she doesnt want x-rays? why is she even here?" (Im pregnant). When the doc finally came over, he was very rude. I made a comment about waiting for over an hour, and he was very unapologetic telling me he had been doing wisdom teeth extractions all day (this is my fault?). He did my cleaning and left me with his assistant (who was very nice - wish I could remember his name). After I was finished, I was told to go sit in the bay to discuss financial options for some additional work I needed done. It was at THIS time that I was notified that my cleaning was not covered and I need to come up with $55 by EOB today. They had ample opportunity to inform me over the phone, and the hour between filling out paperwork and being called back, that this was not covered. (Medicaid doesnt tell me what it does and doesnt cover - it is the responsibility of the provider to let the patient know if a service is covered). I will never come back to this location. I dont like the way they conduct their business. I fully intend on writing to the corporate office.

I was in so much pain from a tooth infection that i called this office earlier in the day, they stated if i was in pain they could see me as a walk in. I arrived hours later around 4 in more pain than I had called that day. When i signed in they stated that there were two other walk ins ahead of me... two and half hours later i have fighting nauseous systems and at the time i didnt know my fever was 100 degrees, they finally saw me in... the intern or nurse was so excited that i had a small mouth while doing xrays that he kept hurting me trying to find the right size to use the xray materials on me. After 5 mins or so, the doctor came in quickly looked at my mouth and stated i need a root canal then sent me to the billing department to finish me up. They were in such a rush to get me in that they didnt care i was in pain. The medicine and antibiotics they gave me were not working and when i called back two days later and left a voicemail about how i felt they never bothered to call me back! This is poor malepractice done on a patient. This was my first time going into a comfort dental and it will be the last! Learn to take care of your patients!!

Completely Unproffessional, rude, and inexperienced dentist I have ever been to. The first time I went they did a root canal and they completely messed it up to the point that they had to give me steroids to help fix the damage they had done...THEN, I went back to them to have them fix what they had messed up after the steroid treatment was healed enough...It does not end there; Then after a month or so I started having extreme pain in the tootth that they had fixed with the root canal to find out that they had not killed all the nerves under the crown and they were growing into the crown itself. I carelesly went back the third time to have the nerves fixed, in which they just drilled through the crown instead of redoing everything that has now led to it cracking and now completely falling off. I had to threaten with a law suit to have my money refunded as I will not go back there. Dr. James Liu was a very kind doctor himself; but kindness does not excuse poor practices. STAY AWAY from this office!! The one on Parker and Orchard is the complete opposite and I would recommend them to anyone.
