Had exam then ordered glasses. Approximately 1 week later, my husband (although they had my number) received a phone call saying that my frames were on back order. Approximately one week later I called to see if my husbands glasses were in and was told that no but that mine were in. I went to the office to pick up my glasses and after waiting 45 minutes was told that they were not there and neither were my husbands. When I called this week, on Monday, approximately one month after ordering, I was told that they still were not in, they did check and said that they would be here by Wednesday, which is today. I received a call today saying that the glasses were not in and they would start to issue me a refund, which usually takes one week, because the process had taken so long and they understood my frustration. When I stated that I knew that "they will be here on Wednesday", on Monday, was a line and that I had requested a refund on Monday, they started to accuse me of getting aggressive with their staff. When I questioned as to when he did not have an answer and just wanted to end the call which I did. This has been the most unprofessional experience I have experienced. I agree with the other two post about the staff having the attitude of "they are better than you" and unprofessional, in fact I stated this to my husband after my first visit with them and that "you have to buy glasses from them" attitude, which is not true. I hope that the doctors read these reviews; however I am sure that they dont or dont care. When I was waiting the 45 minutes for my glasses, that were not there, there was another patient who was 10 minutes late for her appointment because her daughters ortho appointment ran long and she had been waiting for 2 hours, because they had to take a lunch. In my line of work you skip or re-arrange your lunch to accomodate customers; however I guess that is not true for this office. I can not tell you how many times they have ran late (in excess of 10 minutes) for my scheduled appointments. Just another example of them having the attitude of them being better. They have lost two patients because of this and I will also tell everyone I know. Again they are superior so I am sure this doesnt matter.

I called this place (better known as Abba Eye Care) at 3:30 on a Friday, when I got something in my eye, and thought Id cut it. I was inquiring about Saturday appointments (which would get me in to see them the next day... Id noticed that they closed at 5:00 the day Id called). When I told the lady on the phone why I was calling, she checked the schedule for Saturday and said they were full. Then she asked me to hold for a moment. When she got back with me on the phone, she asked if I could make it in "now", that the Dr wanted to see me right away, and they would just fit me in as they could. Of course I jumped at that offer. Id already called several other offices, with no luck for help. Their entire staff was extremely helpful when I arrived, all very caring, kind and concerned. The office was clean and inviting. The Eye Dr. Gary Johnson was wonderful, and I look forward to seeing him again soon, for a regular eye check up. I wear glasses and will need an exam and new prescription soon. Im exstatic to have found a new eye Drs office so close to home. I had just moved to the area and had not started searching for one yet. They have made a customer for life out of me.

Ponderosa Vision Clinic was recently purchased by Abba Eye Care, the largest independent vision provider in the state. Im an optician for Abba and though an acquisition like this can be stressful for both staff and patients, the opticians and front desk staff here are amazing! Theyre willing to learn new procedures and processes that help maintain patient flow and care. They have been so gracious. If youre a current patient here, dont panic, because the staff will remain the same, same doctors and same faces. This acquisition will also give high quality service, care, and lens options to the people of Aurora, so Im excited about this!

Ive been in here a few times and wont be going back. Theyre not very competent. I recently went in for an eye exam and was told my insurance wouldnt cover it because I had been in less than a year before so I left without an exam: 1. A well-run organization would have figured that out when I made the appointment and called me to let me know. 2. They were wrong: I checked with my insurance and my eligibility restarts in midyear so they would have covered my exam. The staff is unfriendly, always acting like theyre too important and too busy to help you. And their prices are high, charging 50% more for contacts than Costco.

Very unprofessional and unfriendly staff. The eye dr seemed to rush through the eye exam, only a few minutes in the chair. I felt the prices were higher than the usual costs. I will not go back to select glasses, nor will I recommend this office to anyone.
