I am from Florida and I am on a road trip over the summer, so I decided to stop by at a dentist in Colorado Springs. I went to Crossroads dentistry, because I had toothache and needed a dental exam and cleaning, just a simple cleaning nothing special. I got an appointment. First I met the dental hygienist Mari, she made a lot of x-rays and checked the depth of my pockets. I was wondering after I got the results, actually all of my teeth shown up very deep pockets. I went to my dentist in Florida 6 months ago and got actually fair results for my pockets, far away what I got at Crossroads dentistry. I asked Mari for a cleaning, but she denied, because my pockets were to deep for a regular cleaning she said. She tried sell a special periodontal cleaning to me, what I denied. I always got my tooth cleaned from my dentist, this was a strange experience. After that I met Dr. Tyng and asked him also for a cleaning, he also wanted to sell a special periodontal cleaning to me and in the same time several crowns as well, he gave me his quote after our 5 minutes conversation ( a couple thousand dollars)!!?? He had no idea how to help me with my toothache I had that day, I went out after paying my x-rays with toothache and without cleaning. A day later I saw another dentist in Colorado Springs, got my toothache fixed and my teeth cleaned. They checked the depth of my pockets and the measurements were exactly the same (fair condition) my doctor in Florida figured out 6 months ago!!! They did not understand why I should get so many crowns, there is no reason for that, they told me. I dont know why the reviews here are pretty good, I cant recommend Crossroads dentistry, because I felt very bad and unfair treated.

New to medicaid, and after having a bad experience with a previous Colorado Springs dentist using it... began wondering if I should just suffer until I had insurance again. So glad I found this place. Not only was every single person there knowledgeable and professional, the office was very clean and bright. They were able to fit me in last minute, took time to answer all of my questions and explain everything... while still taking appointments back on time! Being concerned about what medicaid would even cover, one of the front desk ladies called on my behalf to verify what would and wouldnt be covered while I was getting x-rays. I can now eat and drink any temperature foods or drinks, and sleep through the night. Even received a call the next day to see if I was feeling better. Dr. Tyng and the whole team are first class!

If you are looking for a caring and knowledgeable dentist with a great staff, then look no further. After moving here 6 years ago, my search to replace my previous dentist of 30 years took me through 3 different dental offices until I found Dr. Tyng this spring. I feel very fortunate to have found this practice. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Candice did a great job on my cleaning. Bree, Dr. Tyngs dental assistant, is very professional, caring and gentle. And Darci who always seems to have a smile for you whether you are coming or going at the front desk. Thank you Dr. Tyng for bringing your practice to Colorado Springs.

They seemed very nice and I am sure that they do a good job with what they do, but if you want to keep as many teeth as you can that are yours, I suggest you go somewhere else....they are not aimed at saving the teeth you have if if you ask me...I went in with a tooth ache, got an exam, was told that they needed to pull all me teeth...I was shocked and the Doctor ! Huh! reiterated that they were all bad and that the insurance would not pay to save them...dentures for you my man...see you next week...be ready....I said to my self no way and went to Comphort Dental...they rocked!...mouth all straight and I still have all my teeth...Just Sayin!

Dr. Tyng is very nice, his staff is friendly & the office is lovely. Once I did not have a sitter so I called to cancel my appointment but they said that since it was just a cleaning & towards the end of the day they could have one of the girls watch my twins in their kid area. They have a nice clean kid area with toys and a TV, it worked out perfect for me. It just goes to show how much they care about their patients. Besides going out of their way to please, Dr. Tyng does great work. I would definitely recommend coming here!

As a bonus I loved their eco-friendly way of filling out forms using a laminate and marker. I found my forever-dentist!!

Dr. Tyng has done a wonderful job for me. Without question, Dr. Tyng is the best dentist I have been to in more than 20 years. He had done a good deal of work for me - 10 crowns! I can not describe how happy I am with the final product - its terrific! Im lucky to have found him.
