This will be long winded, but its important that the reader of this "Review" understand that my terrible experience wasnt just a matter of catching a person on a bad day. I have forgiveness for "having a bad day" TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. I also work with children and know to what standard an adult should carry themselves. Heres the jest...I took my 2 children in for a routine cleaning. I arrived 10 minutes early. Right away, we were taken to the back for their procedures. Good right? WRONG! Alli (dental assistant) wanted to take x-rays of the kids first but the room was in use so she rushed us straight to the cleanings. Dominika and Alli (dental assistants) talked to each other about "Taco Tuesday" at a local restaurant amongst other things that had nothing to do with my children or their teeth. During the cleaning the x-ray room came open. Neither Dominika or Alli cleaned every tooth in my childrens mouths. Alli literally flossed one tooth on my daughter and was done. They whisked my kids away to do x-rays. Dominika moved quickly with my son, again not speaking to him. Alli was completely impatient and inappropriate with my 4 YEAR OLD. WHAT? YES, 4 year old!!! Alli literally had a tantrum and chewed my daughter out when my daughter wasnt biting the plastic piece in her mouth the correct way. Alli was just shy of yelling at her. I left Alli to take care of the situation. BIG MISTAKE. Alli literally grabbed ahold of my daughters chin and nose, SQUEEZING MY DAUGHTERS FACE, making her keep her mouth closed during the x-ray. She made my daughter cry and had no apology for it. If she would have taken a moment to talk with my daughter, she would have found that the plastic pieces were cutting the inside of my daughters mouth.... Unfortunately, my daughter had a small cavity for which we had to come back. We came back to be rushed again... No one speaking to my daughter... AGAIN. Long story short, Dr.Tonn came in once the gas was administered. She didnt explain anything about the procedure to my daughter or I. She quickly went to work using all of her scary tools not explaining 1 thing to my daughter. To add insult to injury, Dr. Tonn went right in for the injections WITHOUT any topical anesthetic to make things a little more comfortable for my daughter. This topical anesthetic was used before an injection on my son just 2 years prior, by a different dentist in the same practice. There is more to the story but it is not necessary to go on. If this isnt enough for you to make the decision to look elsewhere for your childs dental care, then I dont know what is. I will never let my children go to the back room of a dental office by themselves, trusting that all is ok. Never!

After several traumatic appointments with another Pediatric Dental office in town (think superhero commercials), our Pediatrician recommended this office. The Dentist was extremely patient with my daughter. She took the time to explain each step of the examination and cleaning process to both myself and my daughter. She answered each of our many questions with patience and confidence. She discovered that, due to my daughters lack of routing cleaning and exams, my daughter would need a cap for one tooth. We scheduled the procedure and on that visit, were even MORE impressed! My daughter was allowed to pick a movie to watch during the procedure. The dentist patiently worked with my singing childs mouth. My daughter left their office with confidence and I am happy to announce that today we will return for a routine exam without the usual autistic meltdowns associated with her visits to medical offices. If I could give this office ten stars, I would!!! If your child has any fear associated with a dentist, Id highly recommend that you give this office a try. ALL of their dentists are amazing and they come very highly recommended from our Pediatrician.

Five years ago, our daughter had a traumatic experience with a dentist where she was strapped to a papoose board and restrained in order to have work done on her teeth. She was 3 at the time and has hated the dentist ever since. Our daughter isnt a fan of being restrained in any way and probably struggles with minor claustrophobia. Its almost always a challenge when it comes time for the cleaning. Slowly, were seeing improvement, and it gets better with each visit. The staff at RMPD are amazing. They speak calmly, reassure her, yet remain firm in explaining the work has to get done, and if she delays, they explain shes keeping the doctors away from their other patients. Despite our daughters anxiety, the staff demonstrated their finesse and skill at what they do. They soothe all worries, and they were able to work with our daughter without any further measures being taken. In the end, our daughter came out all smiles and was even excited to try the new "mint" toothpaste as well as the flossing tools. Shes growing up, and its great seeing her blossom under the care of the staff here.

I love seeing my kids have as much fun as they do here. Speaking from the perspective of a mother of 3 beautiful kids, I of course want the best for my children. After our first visit, I acknowledged great recommendations and ideas to maintain proper dental hygiene and diet for my kids. Rocky Mountain Pediatric dentistry has helped my children be excited and happy to be cavity free. They all love being in the "No Cavity Club". Even though all my kids love visiting Dr. DAddario, Dr. Tonn and their great staff, they all have their days when they can be a challenging. My kids are my apples of my eye but I will be the first to admit they are no angels. I would like to give a BIG THANKS to Rocky Mountain Pediatric Dentistry for showing all the patience and dedication to my family, especially my very active little boy Michael :).

The entire staff here is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They put kids right at ease! Even with four kids, they are able to schedule us all together so I dont have to take multiple trips. Not that my kids would mind; they actually ask to go to the dentist! The atmosphere is all about kids and they have so many tools to make it fun, such as the stuffed dragon with a big toothbrush so the kids can brush his teeth, tvs overhead while theyre having work done, etc. And I cant forget that they always get a coin to get a prize at the end of their visit. They do everything to ensure the kids arent scared and have a pleasant experience. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a place to take your kids.

AMAZING STAFF! From the first time I called the staff was amazing! Being on Medicaid it was so hard finding a dentist! After a friend recommended RMPD I called to set up an appointment for my daughter who was in desperate need of dental care! I was greeted by a receptionist who was so very sweet! My daugter who is usually very timid with strangers took to this group of women immediately! They are hands down the best staff of doctor, nurses and receptionists I have ever dealt with! My children will be patients until they are to old to go! ;)
