My wife and I contacted Dr. Halby of Mountain View Medical Group to have a family doctor. My wifes visit was scheduled for 1/20/2015 and was on time to the scheduled appointment, at 330 pm, after talking with the receptionist, they stated to my wife that Dr. Halby had cancelled all of her appointments for that day. My wife asked if anyone had contacted her to let her know of the cancellation, and was told that she was contacted the previous evening at 5:05 pm to tell my wife of the cancellation. The notes on the receptionist desk stated that when they tried to call it stated all circuits were busy. No additional follow up was taken to assure that their patient was notified. Of course the Doctors office takes all of our information; email, phone, best number to contact, yet no additional follow up calls the following day from the initial phone call that did not go through, nor any emails. Completely unprofessional, I understand people have lives and that unexpected life events happen. No compensation was offered for the missed appointment only an apology for the lack of communication. I called to discuss this with a supervisor or manager, none were available for multiple days. This complete lack communication and professionalism cost this Doctor, 2 Patients that are under the age of 30 looking for a family doctor. Her loss....

I give 0 stars but have to give at least 1. Worst dr on the planet. I moved from Florida to Colorado and made a visit to find a new primary care dr. Every time I mentioned something she seemed to have cared less and half the time didnt acknowledge anything I said. Needed medicine for a sinus infection and was told to take over the counter meds. Not acceptable. Asked her to check a spot on my back, as Ive done 5 times before with previous doctors, and got the same answer " oh it looks fine, probably a mole. Finally had enough of that answer as apparently I can tell the difference between a mole and a problem but a dr cant and demanded a referral elsewhere. Turns out it was cancer by the way. I left saying I wouldnt be back. Got a call about lab results and when calling back to get details I was told to either Google what they were talking about or come in and waste more money making an appt. to have the dr explain it. Shameful.

I have been seeing Dr. Halby for about 6 years now. She is easy to talk to and I especially like her follow up. She is good about ordering tests as a preventative measure and she was responsible for finding my Thyroid Cancer which would have otherwise gone undetected for years Im sure. The only reason I gave the review 4 stars is because the offices have signs up that say the Dr. can only see you for the reason that you made an appointment for. In other words, dont take up their time with other issues that werent scheduled into their day.
