I made the awful mistake of choosing to take my dog here who was in need of immediate emergency care. She was a young, beautiful black lab and was absolutely adored. I arrived with my 14 year old brother who was very upset as our dog struggled to breath due to fluid being in her lungs. The nurse who was also the office manager went over the estimate and I agreed to pay them $1380 which was the high estimate and they needed the full payment before starting treatment on our dying dog who was quickly getting worse. I explained the payment would be made with my moms debit card and explained she could fax her I.D. over in minutes to verify her identity. I was told this was against policy. We asked many many times what else we could do, my dad would be there shortly to pay with his own card but they grew annoyed and said no. Our dog collapsed at this point and I frantically begged them to just take the $500 cash I had and just start treatment, again explaining my dad was only ten minutes away and would pay the additional balance as soon as he arrived. At this point the officer manager said they would not treat her and asked my little brother to pick up his dog that has no stopped breathing. He ran her out to the car sobbing as we frantically tried to find another emergency vet. This ordeal lasted about 10 minutes. I realized our two year old little Annie was now gone and I ran back inside sobbing and begging them to do FOR my dad was now two minutes away. I offered $500 cash to just start CPR and at that point they said they would try to revive her. Shes dead. It cost us $147.00. The manager then proceeded to take my dad who had now arrived in the back and say it was me who demanded I take her somewhere else! After I begged and begged them to just get her on oxygen. My brother cried and begged as well. I had a total of $1000 I could give them on a debit card in my own name but they refused to start treatment in this emergency situation without the full $1380. This is their "policy". They chose to allow our beloved girl to choke on the blood filling her lungs because oxygen and the start of treatment could not even begin even with $1000 down and the rest coming in minutes. Annie didnt have minutes. We lost our dog today and were treated like complete crap by someone who should definitely know how to handle an emergency. She turned two last week, we raised her from birth and she sleeps with my little brother. We lost her two hours ago and I can not express the amount of pain we feel. I do not know if they could have saved her, however, denying her oxygen as she gasped for air made the situation much worse. I understand policies and the need to pay up front but surely $1000 was enough to at least attempt to stabilize our dying dog who clearly needed oxygen. This is the type of staff an emergency pet hospital keeps. They lied about it too. I have no reason to lie. My dog just needed oxygen. We didnt have the chance to say goodbye. Her final moments were chaos and she was so scared. Just horrible. The loss is hard enough, the way we were treated and the way it was handled made it so much worse.

I am very thankful for the late hours this clinic keeps when my pet had an emergency. The prices were much lower than I anticipated and they were very fast. I was so thankful in fact, that it didnt occur to me that my experience was not as good as it should have been until I visited a caring, empathetic vet. The experience was probably negative due to the staff, and hopefully others have had better experiences, but I met with a male tech who spent most of the visit being macho with my cat and trying to prove how smart he was. He did not take any hints from my cat, who was becoming aggressive, and did not want to be petted. Instead he tried to be dominant and explained this as he petted my distressed cat. My cat was mildly constipated and required an enema, which was given quickly. It wasnt until I visited my regular vet that I knew that it was not normal to give an animal an enema without some sedation. My vet expressed shock when I casually mentioned the scream that my cat let out during the process. This is an extremely painful process for a cat. I made the decision to put my cat on a wet food diet to prevent further constipation and help her lose weight, and the tech spent a huge amount of time trying to convince me not to. He agreed that cats should not consume carbohydrates, but recommended (and tried to sell) a high carb dry food for my cat. Dry food is what sent my cat to the vet in the first place, and I did not take his advice- my cat is losing weight, is more playful, and has a much higher water intake on a no carb wet food. Again, my pet was treated, and I am grateful for the late night treatment and the low price, but I will not be visiting this clinic again. If I have no other choice, I will specifically ask not to work with that particular staff. I was made to feel like my cats condition was my fault, and that I was dumb for thinking wet food would improve my cats health. I felt like I was berated for letting my cat get fat (I know it is my fault, but I was already stressed out and being rude is not going to help). I dont care if my cat loses teeth from not chewing kibble (when she threw it up it was all whole anyway), I have known cats without teeth to have a long, healthy life. It is more important to me that my cat gets enough moisture in her diet to fend off kidney disease and constipation. So far, it is working.

This morning we took our lab pit mix, Ziggy to this wonderful vet. Ziggy played hard yesterday and last night began whempering for what seemed like no reason. He was hurting. I am an EMT and have human patients, but I couldnt provide relief to nor pinpoint the problem. We went to this awesome folks this morning. We were in and out in under an hour. They identified Ziggys problem, and diagnosed him effectively. Their love for the furry patients is second to none. I felt they went out of their way to ensure his comfort and healing, as well as making sure we understood what was going on, and how to continue care at home. I have worked with nurses, techs, and doctors in the hospital setting NO WHERE NEAR as professional as this team. Great job yall, and thank you for helping our fur baby.

Took my kitty in here kinda late one evening. It was a little silly, but I knew I wouldnt be able to get her into the vet for a few days because of my work schedule. They were all totally lovely. The vet was great, my kitty curled up right next to him, feeling safe in his care. He tirelessly listened and answered our questions, even answering my kiddos questions. The assistant and tech were wonderful and kind, too. He suggested blood work, but never pushed. After we decided to get the bloodwork, he went over the results with me and discussed which each result was for, what it meant, and what action to take or not take regarding the results. Ive never been so happy with a vet.
