My last memory of this place was walking out of the building as the entire staff gave us the cold shoulder. I honestly recommend you take your pet somewhere else as they know little of basic customer service. I took my dog there last week to have her ear drained due to a hematoma (blood vessel burst). Its not a huge health issue for the dog, but they convinced me surgery was necessary (using language such as "your love your dog right?"). I forked over the $300 with the understanding the procedure would keep it from happening again. A week after the surgery, I noticed some of the stitches had already come undone and another hematoma had formed. I called them up thinking I could take my dog in and they would promptly take care of it. Instead they insisted on charging me another vet fee ($29) just to see the dog again, and then they would assess how much to charge me to repair the stitches (that they improperly tied). I took my dog in, thinking if I talked with them in person they would understand. After two and half hours of waiting, respectfully talking to various people (including the manager), we were asked to take our dog somewhere else as we "obviously didnt trust their work" on our dog. I could not understand why they were unwilling to fix a minor issue that they had caused in the first place. I walked away with the horrible feeling I had just wasted hundreds of dollars and many hours and my dog was no better for it. Save yourself the hassle! Go somewhere else where they value your time, money, pet, and most importantly YOU!

I would not write a negative review unless I really felt that there was really a problem. I took my dog in for a nail injury and they clipped the nail with a local anesthesia. He was put on anti inflammatory and pain killer and no antibiotic or even a bandage to cover the exposed nail. It got infected and the poor little guy had to go through surgery to clean it out and a month and a half of antibiotics (a lot of money for a low cost clinic) I requested the last X-ray at no charge and they did do that for my dog. I took the dog in for the last X-ray and a veterinarian never gave me the results or even talked to me about the X-ray. Very shortly after this was done my dog started walking on three legs again. I called to get his records and X-rays sent to another clinic so that I start over again. It was difficult to get this task done. It took a number of calls and another veterinarian office to call to get my X-rays sent. I was hoping after going through this horrible experience I could get a portion of my money refunded since we had to start over. I was told by the director that I could not! So I cannot recommend this clinic. It is not low cost when you go through an experience like this! I do want to say a good word about the receptionists. They were nice to us!

I was compelled to write this review after getting a second opinion at another veterinary clinic. Let me just start out by saying, you get what you pay for. I brought my dog, Goose (I got him 7 months ago from Maxfund) in to the Maxfund clinic because one of his front legs was shaking and I had concerns. The vet did an x-ray on this leg and said she had no concerns and that it was probably a little quirk about him that is nothing to worry about. After noticing that it was starting to get worse, I took him to another place where they took x-rays of all limbs to compare them to one another (Maxfund should have done this but did not). I found out that my dog has hip dysplasia and severe arthritis. This is big news that I should have gotten from Maxfund but did not and therefore my dog had to go 6 months longer without receiving the right treatment. I was very disappointed in the level of care that my dog was provided. I definitely think paying the extra money and going somewhere else is very worth it.

So first of all, based on the people who wrote positive reviews, it appears that quite a few appear to be from employees and their families. We too experienced the same horrific experiences that some others have written about-- and it nearly cost us our dogs life. These folks really should not have a license to practice! Our dog had a serious infection that nearly led to sepsis and death which was diagnosed by another vet less than 24 hours later and yet this clinic said they could find nothing wrong with our dog (even though he was exhibiting the same symptoms that the other vet saw when we brought him in). the second vet diagnosed the problem in about 2 minutes, gave the dog antibiotics and our dog got better within hours, but MaxFund, after charging us for x-rays and blood tests said they had no idea what was wrong. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, ANYWHERE ELSE, WITH YOUR PET . DONT TRUST THE 4-STAR RATING- THEY FOLKS ARE HACKS THAT SHOULD LOSE THEIR LICENSE

Maxfund is the BEST! Ive taken my pets there for some time now, and am very pleased with all of the staff. They treat me and my dogs with respect, care, and concern. Dr. OBrien is one of the best vets Ive ever dealt with and cant say enough about him! He is very honest and upfront and doesnt candy coat the situation. The techs and admin staff are just as wonderful. The pricing is very reasonable and the clinic has been remodeled and is much more "user-friendly". It is walk-in, meaning get there right when they open or you might have a lengthy wait on your hands. But Ive been there in the middle of the day and did not have to wait very long. Maxfund does great work in the way of sheltering dogs and cats, and this clinic provides services to them, as well. I will continue to support this facility....

I dont have vast experience with this vet, but what little I had was excellent. My dog (we discovered) had auto-immune disease and renal failure. He was terminal. Our regular vet couldnt see him for 2 days and would have cost a fortune besides, so we rushed him to the walk in clinic. They were so compassionate, and tried to give us viable options, but in the end he had to be put down (note - thats a service Maxfund doesnt provide). Though Im troubled by a few of the more recent reviews, I must say my own experience was wonderful, especially given the circumstances. Oh, and all that came to just over $300. FWIW.

Absolutely the WORST vet I have ever been to. Nearly killed my dog. Dont know how these folks stay in business. Look at the reviews the past few months. Maybe they got a new doctor? Clearly something has happened as I see great reviews from the past but there is no way anyone would give this place a positive review now. they had no idea what they were doing. My dog was very sick and they had no clue. Thankfully another vet saved my dog but if not for the other vet, it would have died because of how bad these folks were. I will never go back there again and suggest that no one else go there either.
